JEAN FIZER MASON, 64, of Tampa died Sunday. A native of Huntington, W.Va., she moved to the area 15 years ago. She operated a cleaning service and was a member of New Covenant Church of God. She is survived by a son, Jerry Burdette of Tampa; two stepsons, John III and James, both of Tampa; a daughter, Veda McGowan of Winter Haven; three brothers, Arthur Epling of Huntington, W.Va., Raymond Epling of Newark, Ohio, and Clifford Sword of Chesapeake, Ohio; and two sisters, Anna Burns of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Kathleen Waller of Millersport, Ohio. NORVEL M. McCLUNG, 83, of Tampa died Friday at Suncoast Hospital. A native of Richwood, W.Va., he moved to the area in 1966. He was a professor in microbiology for the University of South Florida, Navy veteran of World War II and Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by two sons, Charles of Atlantic Beach, N.C., and Ralph of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two daughters, Margaret McDudley of Oak Island, N.C., and Susan of St. Petersburg; and three grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Betty Klinger of Noblesville, Ind.; two brothers, Meryle of Manchester, Mo., and Evan of La Plata; a sister, Mrs. Dorcus Burch of La Plata; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
