Susan R. Tinney, 55, of Fort Myers passed away September 7, 2005.
She is survived by her loving husband Gary, devoted son Jonathan and daugther-in-law Erin, parents Ophelia and Myrton Allen, sister Becky Peavy and brother Ronald Benson. Susan was predeceased by two sons Gregory and Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Susan's name to Hope Hospice. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Elroy A."Roy" Briggs, 87, of Ft. Myers, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006.
Roy was born on May 20, 1918 in Auburn, Maine to Albert and Hazel (Bailey) Briggs. He served his country as a decorated soldier in both the U.S. Army, as a paratrooper in the 87th airborne unit, and the U.S. Naval Reserves. Roy was a 60-year Florida resident and he was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Paula, his two daughters, Mary (Edward) Bienkowski of Ft. Lauderdale, and Debby (Jim) Nabors of Alva, three grandchildren, Alyson, Kyle, and Haley, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Roy's life will be held on Sunday, April 30th, 2:30 pm, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Colonial Blvd. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.

Dwayne Fouts, 45, of Fort Myers, FL passed away after a brief and short battle with cancer. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father and mother.
He is survived by his sons; Doug Jr. and Donavan, daughters, Hannah and Haley, brothers, Ralph and Ronny, and sisters; Dianne (Butch) Caraway, Debby Forkel and Danielle (Joey)_Lopez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and loved ones.
There will be no services. Cremations will follow, donations can be made to Hope Hospice in his name.

Donald Lee Huston, 81 of Cape Coral, FL and formerly of Newark, DE and Silver Spring, MD, passed away on April 20, 2006. Don was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired as a Civilian Personnel Management Specialist from the Department of Army. Don attended the University of Delaware where he received a BA degree. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2596, VFW Post 8463, and American Legion Post 90.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane Geisking Kipp Huston, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Kip (Kim) and Mark (Karen) of Ellicott City, MD and Eric (Shannon) of Crownsville, MD and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Newark, DE. The burial will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at a charity of choice.

Beatrice R. Klein, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Heartland Health Center were she had been for the past 2 1/2 years. Her precious husband, Benjamin predeceased her in Jan. 02. They had celebrated 53 years together. She was a loving, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her memory will always be so cherished by her 3 children, Ellen Dami-Hearl, Susan Klein, Henry (Sheila) Klein, her grandchildren; Erica (Jeff) Pecor of MA, Pamela Hill of Cape Coral, Jeffrey (Traci) Dami of Naples, Dayna (Jason) Williams of GA, and great-grandchildren; Ben & Brett Pecor, Cody & Cory Hill, Michael & Hayden Dami & Benjamin & Megan Williams.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
An open house will be held at the home of Ellen Dami-Hearl, 3737 S.W. Santa Barbara PL., Cape Coral on Thursday, April 29, from 1-8 PM.

Peter B. Nelson, Sr., age 69, of Douglas passed away Monday, at his residence, following an extended illness.
Survivors include: son, Peter B. Nelson, Jr. and wife Jacqueline of Graham, WA, daughters: Cherie and husband Rev. Matt Rutland of Douglas, GA and Linda Bradley and husband David of Baltimore, MD; 1 brother Walter Nelson and wife Joyce of West Haven, CT; 8 grandchildren: Bernard Bradley, Heidi Bradley both of Baltimore, MD, Brandon Nelson, Benjamin Nelson, Brittney Burbach, Steven Nall and Jacob Nall all of Graham, WA and Devin Rutland of Macon, GA and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
It is being asked by the family, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Fire Fighters Association. Memorial services will follow at a later date. Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Myrta N. Bratcher Stice of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Bowling Green, Louisville and Campbellsville, KY died April 17, 2006. She attended Gulf Coast Church of Christ in Fort Myers, FL. She lived her life as a Christian, to please God in all she did. She took so much pride that her loved ones followed her devotion and example to the Lord in their lives.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Amon Stice; a daughter Lisa Lewis and her husband, Rob, of Fort Myers; two sons, Leymon Stice of Fort Myers and Nathan Stice and his wife, Kendra, of Naples, FL; a sister Nokie Stice and her husband, Bobby, of Cape Coral; a brother, Alston Bratcher of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, Rachel and Jacob Lewis of Fort Myers, and Chad, Shalana and Danielle Stice, all of Naples; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Vanore, 76, of Cape Coral passed away Friday April 21, 2006. He founded the Padi's Pedal Power Bicycle Shop in Toms River, NJ and used his compassion and talent to invent and hand craft bicycles to meet the special needs of over 100 handicap people.
Survivors include his wife Patricia; children Connie (Richard) Rose, Rich (Mary) Vanore and Gloria (Ken) Ayers all of Cape Coral, FL; a sister Joan (Conrad) Zulauf of Riverdale, NJ and 13 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Post - Polio Institute; Englewood Hospital & Medical Center, 350 Engle St., Englewood, NJ 07631.

Vernon A. (Okie) Whitcraft, 78, of Beach Haven, NJ and Fort Myers Beach, FL died April 23, 2006 after a recent stroke. Born Sept. 2, 1927 in Moorestown, NJ, son of the late Helen and Alfred Whitcraft, he spent much of his earlier life as the owner/operator of Moorestown Excavating Company until moving to Long Beach Island in 1964. Former owner of the Ebb Tide Motel in Ship Bottom, he worked alongside his wife, Pauline, at his daughter's diving business and at the Black Whale passenger boat business for over 20 years before retiring to Fort Myers Beach, FL.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Pauline F. Whitcraft; son Robert V. (Okie) Whitcraft and his wife Susan, of Manahawkin and Fort Myers Beach, daughter Audrey P. Whitcraft-Webby and her husband David of Fort Myers Beach, daughter Deborah C. Whitcraft and her husband James Vogel, of Beach Haven; and beloved ex-son-in-law, Capt. Robert R. Yates of Beach Haven and Fort Myers Beach. He is also survived by his loving dogs, Bonnie and Lucy, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Stockcar racer of Car #35, he raced with "Fireball Roberts" and other renowned drivers at Atco Speedway in addition to various dirt tracks throughout the east coast.
Having served his country during World War II, he received an honorable discharge in 1947 as Tech Sgt. 5. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose #964, the American Legion Post #0274 and the Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Club.
Cremation and memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Fort Myers Beach Moose Lodge #964 at 19090 San Carlos Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.

Malter D. (Jim) Hoffman, 83, of Fort Myers, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2006. Jim was born on July 11, 1922 in Hudson, Michigan. He served his country during World War II in the Army-Air Corps. He was an avid fisherman. He was a resident of Fort Myers since 1980.
Survivors include his two sons, Stephen Hoffman (Margaret) and Eric Hoffman (Linda), and two daughters, Sidne Hoffman and Wynette Dolley, as well as six grandchildren.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held Sunday, April 30, at 1 PM at Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice.

Larry D. Swagler, 63, of Ft. Myers, died October 11, 2002, he was born in Wadsworth, Ohio a son of the late Glenn L. and Muriel L. Swagler. He moved to Ft. Myers form California in 1989. Larry was a self employed property manager and real estate agent, he enjoyed golfing and entertaining friends and family.
Mr. Swagler is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Kari Swagler, Keith and Mary Lou Swagler both of Ohio, his brothers and sisters Helen Stekle, Donald Swagler both of Ft. Myers, Richard Swagler of Cape Coral, Betty Yonkich, Jo Ann Winkler both of Ft. Myers, Thomas Swagler of Arizona, his grandchildren, K. David Swagler, Alex Swagler, Stephen Hurtuk, Jacquelyn Hurtuk.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Ft. Myers Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM the family will receive friends in the funeral home on Tuesday 5-8 PM. Arrangements by Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens.

Richard Evan Kreidler, age 77 of Stuart, FL., died Saturday following a long illiness. He was a native of Danville, IL and a resident of Stuart for 3 years, and a former resident of Clewiston, FL. for 55 years. He was a retired Insurance Consultant and Salesman, Member of First Baptist Church of Clewiston.
Survivors include his son, Daniel D. Kreidler of Jupiter, FL., son-in-law, Bucky Hood of LaBelle, grandchildren, Shelly Kreidler, Shad Kreidler,of Jupiter, Shane Kreidler, of Tequesta, Debbie Fennell, Brent Hood of Jupiter and Andrea Hood, of Tampa, great-grandchildren, Zachery Fennell, of Jupiter, Brayden Kreidler, Tequesta and Amanda Hood, of Jupiter.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Bembry Kreidler and daughter, Carol K. Hood.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Clewiston, FL. with the Reverend Bux McNutt officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgelawn Cemetery of Clewiston, FL. Akin-Davis Funeral Home of Clewiston is in charge of arrangements.

Rose A. Johnston, 96, of Ft. Myers, died October 13, 2002, she was born in Mattoon, IL. Rose moved to the local area from Kent, Iowa in 1966, she owned the Villas Beauty Shop for many years, she was a member of Villas Wesleyan Church, she was an avid reader, enjoyed her family, friends and church.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Ben Kelly, her grandchildren, Stephen Schock, Joe Kelly, Ben Kelly, her great-grandchildren, Spencer, Slater, Ben, Sean, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilton in 1986, her son, Browniee in 1949.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 PM, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 PM. Interment will be in Grove Chapel Cemetery, Kent, Iowa.

Patricia M. Hollett is running with angels now after finishing her long distance race with cancer on Oct. 12, 2002 at Hospice House, South. She was born on June 10, 1939 in Everett, MA. She was the youngest child of the late John and Cecila Barry. Ms. Hollett relocated to Ft. Myers in 1972 and began a 30 year nursing career caring for others.
Ms. Hollett, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend is survived by her four daughters; Karen Hollett-Funk of Whiteville, NC, Susan Jordan of Naples, FL, Lauren Mott of Orlando, FL., Nancy Fairbrother of London Derry, NH; eight grandchildren, Anna and Erin Leigh Funk, Ryan and Sydney Jordan, Griffin and Quinn Mott, and Benjamin and Miranda Fairbrother.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, 2002 at 3:00 PM at Hope Hospice, South, 9470 Healthpark Circle in Ft. Myers. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat's memory to: Hope Hospice, South or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Office of Donor Services, 1311 Mammaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.

John A. Boone, 49, of N. Ft. Myers, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2002. Visitation Monday (TODAY) Oct. 14, 2002 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. at Horizon Funeral Home, 1605 Colonial Blvd. Cremation arrangements.

Charles N. Bomar, of Bonita Springs, passed away on Sept. 24, 2002, he was 80 years old. Mr. Bomar graduated from King's Point Merchant Marine Academy and loved building model airplanes. He was Presbyterian.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty K. Bomar of Bonita Springs; brother, Norman Bomar of Topeka, KS; sisters, Irvana Wilks of Mt. Prospect, IL, and Jennifer Cochran of Tehachapi, CA; step-brother, Donald Keagy of Topeka, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Tr., S., Bonita Springs. A luncheon will follow at the Casa Bonita Royal Recreation Room. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Support Network, 660 9th Street N., Naples, FL. 34102.
