MICHAEL KOVALICK, 73, of New Port Richey died Thursday in Youngstown, Ohio, while visiting relatives. A native of Lansing, Mich., he first moved to this area 46 years ago, then moved back again 12 years ago from Colorado. He was retired from the Mars Lander and space shuttle programs for Martin Marietta Space Corp., a World War II Navy veteran and former teacher for Weightman Elementary School. He was an active member of The National Organization for Women, Rose Society, Antique Toys Society, Bowling League and a volunteer for the Pasco County sheriff's Domestic Violence Unit.
