ROLAND J. MESSICK JR., 66, of Tampa died Thursday. A native of Norfolk, Va., he moved to the Tampa area in 1957. He was co-owner of J&J Sign Manufacturing Company. He is survived by his wife, Tresa; three sons, Donald, Harold Noel and Chuck Noel; four daughters, Paula Couey, Hope Moseley, Laurie Baden and Tara Pisano; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Patrick of Tampa and David of Bradenton; five brothers, Raymond of Florida, Richard of Colorado, John and Robert of New York and Jerome of New Jersey; two sisters, Merita Whitaker and Marjorie Lynch, both of New York; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
