HELEN C. JOHNSTON, 86, of Tampa died Monday at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. A native of Halton, Pa., she moved to the area from Middleport, N.Y., in 1953. She was a homemaker and Presbyterian. She is survived by her husband, Glenn; two sons, Glenn Jr. and Arthur, both of Tampa; two daughters, Ann Miller of New York City and Nancy of Lindenville, N.Y.; a brother, Parl Hutchins of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two sisters, June Schultz of Fort Myers and Madge Smith of Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. DOROTHY S. JONES, 96, of Tampa died Saturday at home. A native of Deep River, Conn., she moved to the area from New York in 1941. She owned several taverns in Sulphur Springs. She is survived by a son, Harold Cameron of Westerlo, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Laverne Frydenall of Littleton, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. RAMON MEDEROS, 72, of Tampa died Sunday at home. A native of Havana, he moved to the area in 1958. He owned and operated Columbus Spanish Restaurant and was Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Gladys; a son, Raymond of New Orleans; a daughter, Myrna Starr of Tampa; two brothers, Miguel Castillo and Jose, both of Miami; and four grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Herbert; two daughters, Carole Mordue of Lithia and Lois Trainor of Avon Park; a brother, Robert Platt of Clarksville, Ind.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
