ACOSTA, Raymond Oswaldo, 85 of Tampa died January 9, 2001. Survived by his wife, Maria Acosta. A native of Tampa, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Eastside F.H.

ALONSO, Aquiles, 84, of Gibsonton, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Adelaide Rodriguez; son, Henry A. Alonso; sister, Sara A. Orestano and husband Steve; two grandchildren, Vincent A. Alonso and Richard H. Alonso; eight great-grandchildren and three nephews. Mr. Alonso was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa. He established the Golden Cream Dairy in 1941 through 1965. He was a retired Harbor Patrol Officer for the Tampa Port Authority and was a member of Odd Fellows and American Legion Post # 148 for 50 years. Mr. Alonso was an Army veteran of World War II.

BUCKWALTER, Dale W., 72, a resident of Lebanon, Pa. and a winter resident of Plant City, passed away, January 26, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Arlene M. Buckwalter, Plant City; two sons, Dale I. Buckwalter, Lewes, Del.; Dennis C. Buckwalter, Lancaster, Pa.; daughter, Darlene Wentzel, Lititz, Pa.; brother, Raymond R. Buckwalter, Lancaster, Pa.; six grandchildren and two great-g randchildren. Mr. Buckwalter worked for 43 years at Buckwalter Construction Inc. and retired in 1988 as part owner. His interest included golf, bowling, hunting, and trap shooting. He is a World War II veteran having served at the Naval Air Station at Agana, Guam and was a member of Plant City Church of God and Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon, Pa. Memorial services will be held Monday, February 5, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Plant City Church of God. He is survived by his mother, Annie of Kissimmee, Fla.; two sons, David of Virginia, Robert of Oklahoma; two daughters, Susan of Tallahassee and Debra of Valrico; two brothers, Ed of Kissimmee and R.C. of Tampa; two sisters, Linda of Plant City and Peggy of Georgia; and five grandchildren. CARR, Stella Margaret, 83, of Tampa passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Carr and sister, Grace Rogers Constande. She is survived by two sisters, Otilia Rogers and Florence R. Hurn; aunt, Hortense Echegaray; brother-in-law, Stephen Constande; nephews and their wives, Patrick F. and Mary Hurn, James E. and Gail Hurn; niece, Susan Constande; great nieces, Mary Elizabeth Hurn, Katy B. Hurn and Erin E. Hurn; great nephew, James E. Hurn, Jr. A lifelong resident of Tampa, she was a graduate of Plant High School class of 1935 and University of Tampa class of 1939, retired from the Tampa Tribune, where she worked for over 45 years and was a Catholic. Services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Fun eral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd. with Father Vincent McNally officiating. Preceded in death by her husband, Eustasio de Lama; Mrs. de Lama is survived by her sons, Richard L. de Lama and Ronald A. de Lama and daughter-in-law, Kay Beckner-de Lama; grandchildren, Dr. Yvette Mattley and husband, Richard Mattley, Ronald A. de Lama, Jr. and wife Wendy de Lama, Isis A. de Lama, Reisha B. de Lama and Dickie de Lama II; great-grandchild, Raquel A. de Lama; numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was a prominent Realtor and a member of the Tampa Board of Realtors for over 30 years. She was a member of the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She was also a member of the Democratic Women's Council where she served as secretary and president. She was a member of St. Jose ph's Catholic Church and a supporter of the Jesuit High School Mother's Alumni Club. Julie was a remarkable person who showed us all the real joy of how to stay young at heart. She will be dearly missed. LUPIEN, Frederic C., Jr., 80, of Clearwater, formerly of Tampa, Fla. ('47-'90) died Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. Survivors include wife of 57 years, Dolores; daughter, Mary Marcy (Edward J.) Bergin; son, Michael Jon Lupien, Sr.; brother, Ronald (Audrey); aunt, Alice Hayman all of Tampa; sister, Marilyn L. (Robert) Blouin, Largo; three grandchildren; his br others, John Phillip and James Richard preceded him in death. He moved here from his native Minneapolis, Minn. He retired as the owner of Pen Supply, Inc. after 40 years in the business and he served as past president of NAWID. He worked as a baseball coach and umpire with the Tampa Parks & Recreation Department. He was one of the onginators of the Children's Gasparilla Parade. He was a Coast Guar d veteran of World War II serving on the USS General Howze in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed shuffleboard and bridge, recently achieving a score of 7,000 points in one game. He was a member of Skycrest United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be held from 11-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater. MARTINEZ, Evidencio, 91 of Tampa died January 30, 2001. Survivors include his son, Gabriel Y. Martinez of Tampa; daughter Gladis de la Torre of Tampa; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. A native of Habana, Cuba, Mr. Martinez came to Tampa in 1970. She is the beloved mother of Kathleen (Jack) Mc Catty, Terrence Mulligan, Timothy (Nioma Brown) Mulligan; six grandchildren, Melodie, Angela, Timothy, Michael, Kara and Eric; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Emily, Ashley, N icholas and Bradley. Mrs. Mulligan was a legal secretary in Brandon for many years and was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at Nativity Catholic Church. ORLOSKY, Ella F., 97, of Valrico passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2001. She is survived by her son, Donald; daughter, Janet Stoeckinger; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A native of Honesdale, Pa., she has resided in the Tampa area for 3 years coming from Mishawaka, Ind. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 267 and a Methodist.

PEREZ, Encarnita `Nita`, was called home to God on January 29, 2001. She died peacefully at home and was surrounded by her family and dearest friends. She was a native of Tampa, a devoted wife, preceded in death by her husband of 50 years,

Raimundo Perez; a dedicated mother of two, her son, Victor Raymond Perez of Virginia and daughter,

Yvonne Perez-Valdes R.N. of Tampa. She loved her daughter-in-law Jane as a second daughter. She was very proud of her two grandsons, Victor and Vincent Perez of Virginia. She had five great-grandchildren: Zachery, Eric, Nicholas, Chloe Jane and Amanda. She laughed with her family and friends and enjoyed her Friday night card games, but now God has seen her tired face and has called her home. `Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.`

RANSOHOFF III, Dr. Joseph, 85, world renowned neurosurgeon and innovator in the field neurosurgery passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Dr. Ransohoff is survived by his wife, Lori; sons, Joseph Louis Ransohoff, III and Jake Ransohoff; daughters, Joan Wynn, and Jade Ransohoff; as well as his grandchildren, James and Benjamin Wynn and Christopher and Sianna Ransohoff. Follow ing in the steps of his father and grandfather he is the third surgeon in his family, his grandfather perfecting above the knee amputations. He was a surgeon in the US Army and was an honorary police surgeon providing surgery at no cost to police officers neurologically wounded. He was called upon by the directors and producers of the Ben Casey television show of which he was the surgical consulta nt. He was an avid fisherman. Dr. Ransohoff graduated from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the University of Chicago. He was professor and chairman at New York Univeristy Neurosurgery Department for 34 years and was a professor of Neurosurgery at USF. He had a great gusto for living and was dearly loved. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Congregation Schaarai Zedek Bayshore Blvd. Tampa. Mark III Funeral Home 831-9444.

SCOTTO, Meranda, 99, of Lutz, passed away Monday morning, January 29, 2001. Survivors include her daughter, Marie Schipano of Lutz; son, Anthony Scotto of Lutz; two grandchildren, Anthony N. Scotto and Gina Marchica; five great-grandchildren, Charles and Nicholas Marchica, Dawn LoBosco, Christine Salerno and Anthony Scotto, Jr.; four great-great-grandchildren. A native of New York, N.Y., Mrs. S cotto had lived in the Tampa area since 1973 coming from Corona, N.Y. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with Fr. Mark Rowe of St. Mary The Virgin Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
