She is survived by her son, Brad Gage of Bryant, Ind.; two daughters, Judi Shelton of Hamilton, Ohio and Kathie Bollock of Carbondale, Colo.; her parents, Wilferd and Helen Barnett Habegger; a sister, Mrs. (LaMar) Joan Winteregg of Locust Grove, Va.; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was born in Berne, Ind. and moved to Sun City Center from Indianapolis, Ind. in 1990. She was a District Supervisor for Motherhood Maternity and Frederick's of Hollywood and collection representative for Comcast. She was a member of the Sun City Center Christian Center and the Sun City Center Art Club. Funeral Service 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001, Family Funeral Care 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, S un City Center, Fla., with Pastor Arlen Beck officiating. STRAHAN, Thomas Miles, 45 passed away on January 30, 2001. He was born February 12, 1955 in Tampa, Fla. and was pre-deceased by his mother, Edwena M. Haber. He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Carmen; his two beloved children, Taryn and T.J. He is survived by his father, James M. Strahan, Jr., and his wife Linda; a brother James M. Strahan, III, and a sister, Patricia M. Thornton. To m grew up in Tampa and attended Sanford Naval Academy and Plant High School. He attended FSU and graduated from USF. Tom was a champion swimmer and held many state and national AAU swimming records. He was a very avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. Tom was a member of Bayshore Baptist Church and Palma Ceia Golf and C.C. and was active in the commercial real estate business. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 2, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mark III Funeral Home, South Tampa Chapel, 3328 S. Dale Mabry with Dr. Charles Randall Ashcraft officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa, in memory of his love for children. WHITE, Joe C., 83, lifelong resident of Plant City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Eva Kirkland White of Plant City, Florida; a son, Charles Stuart White and his wife, Lianne Keiser White of Brandon, Florida; and four grandchildren, Andrew Addison White of Atlanta, Georgia; Erin Elizabeth White of Gainesville, Florida;

Meredith Ann White of Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. White was retired from Tampa Electric Company after 38 years of loyal service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida and the Olin S. Wright Masonic Lodge No. 79, F & AM. Mr. White honorably served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II in the U.S. Navy Seabees and he also was a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Whi te was an avid baseball player known for his speed and played semi-pro baseball with the Plant City Berries. He was among the organizers of Little League Baseball in Plant City in the early 1950's. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, February 2, 2000 at the Wells Memorial Funeral Home with Rev H. Richard Bills, to officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home f rom 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. The family requests that those who wish, may in lieu of flowers, to make a donations to the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, Florida 32064 or the Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 8190, Lakeland, Florida 33802, in the memory of Joe C. White. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.

BROWNING, Thomas M. `Buddy`, 72 passed away in his Tampa home, January 27, 2001. Born in West Pelzer, South Carolina, September 29, 1928, Thomas was the son of Margaret Fennell and Westley Clifton Browning, Sr. Thomas retired as Chief M/Sgt. of the USAF after serving over 21 years active duty. Thomas also retired from the Civil Service. He was former pastor of Westgate Christian Church for 15 y ears. Active in the Masons, Thomas was the Past Master of the Port Tampa Lodge #153, Past District Deputy Grand Master of the Twentieth West Masonic District, Past Worthy Patron of Port Tampa Chapter #178 O.E.S., and Tampa York Rite Bodies. Thomas is survived by his wife of 49 years, Consuelo `Faye` Villareal, of Tampa, Florida, Rita Beth Copeland, of King George, Virginia, a sister Margaret Brown ing Pierce, of Sommerset, Kentucky, two brothers, Wesley C. Browning, Jr., of Bossier, Louisiana and M. Donald Browning, of Los Angeles, California, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Eustasio de Lama; Mrs. de Lama is survived by her sons, Richard L. de Lama and Ronald A. de Lama and daughter-in-law, Kay Beckner-de Lama; grandchildren, Dr. Yvette Mattley and husband, Richard Mattley, Ronald A. de Lama, Jr. and wife Wendy de Lama, Isis A. de Lama, Reisha B. de Lama and Dickie de Lama II; great-grandchild, Raquel A. de Lama; numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was a prominent Realtor and a member of the Tampa Board of Realtors for over 30 years. She was a member of the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She was also a member of the Democratic Women's Council where she served as secretary and president. She was a member of St. Joseph 's Catholic Church and a supporter of the Jesuit High School Mother's Alumni Club. Julie was a remarkable person who showed us all the real joy of how to stay young at heart. She will be dearly missed. HASSEL, Walter A., age 72, of Lutz, Fla., passed away January 20, 2001 at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Fla. after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Steve; one granddaughter, Roxanne and two brothers, Jim and Robert. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. LAIRD, Richard H. Jr., age 76 of Sun City Center died Monday, January 29, 2001, in South Bay Hospital. Dick, who served in the Army during World War II, is survived by his wife, Marjorie S.; daughter, Ann, of Tampa; son, Richard H. Laird, III, of Ashland, Virginia; three grandchildren, Rich, Chris, and Jessica; a brother, Robert Harrelson Laird of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Marco Island. He was a chemical engineer with the DuPont Co. before he moved to Florida from Wilmington, Delaware, in 1987. He was an active member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. The memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2001.
