TOENES, Larry Vernon , Captain U.S. Air Force (Retired),born May 20, 1947 in Tampa, Florida, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jan; son, Chad; daughter, Amare; and grandchildren, Christopher, Baileigh, Ashlyn, and Corbin, all of San Antonio, Texas . He also leaves his parents, Ruth and Elmer Toenes; a sister, Lynda Jacobson; and a brother, Woody, all of Tampa, Florida. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2001 at Northwest Hills United Methodist Church, 7575 Tezel Road, San Antonio, Texas . Services will conclude at the church. WINKLER, Sr., Robert Joseph, age 65, passed away December 31, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter, Sharon Acroyd; two sons, Robert Joseph, Jr. and Mark Wayne Winkler; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family resides in Tampa. Also survived by a sister, Mildred Garvey, who resides in California. Robert was a retired City of Tampa Firefighter after twenty two ye ars of service. CRIPE, David Isaac, 94, of Fort King Road, Dade City, Fla., died Thursday evening, December 28, 2000, at his home. He is survived by his son, Charles W. Cripe, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; his daughter, Carolyn Larsen, Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born February 17, 1906 in Juniata, Pa., the fourth child of Isaac and Blanche Cripe. The family originally moved to Dade Cit y in 1910. He moved to Alaquippa, Pa. in 1929 where he worked as an auto mechanic and later for Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. He and his wife, Neva and children moved to Alexandria, Va. in 1943 where he was employed by Capital Airlines/ United Airlines as an aircraft maintenance engineer. After his retirement, he and Neva moved back to Dade City. They were charter members of the Florida Pioneer M useum, and members of the William's Cemetery Association, and the Keenagers Club of the First Presbyterian Church in Dade City. He took great pride in his small citrus grove on LeHeup Hill and became a friend of many who came to partake of his fruit. At age 90, he wrote a book about his memories of Dade City's earlier days and his life. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2001 at the Coleman & Ferguson Chapel with Rev. Kevin Morris officiating. A private interment will take place at William's Cemetery. The family request contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, the American Cancer Society, or the Florida Pioneer Museum.

DONNELLY, Robert B., age 77, of Zephyrhills, Fla., beloved father passed away on Friday, December 22, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness. He was married to Betty J. McNally Donnelly who preceded him in death on October 30, 2000. Surviving are his two daughters, Patricia and Gerald Wachowicz, Naples, Fla., and Diane and David Dunkley, Grand Prairie, Texas ; two sons, Bruce and Conn ie Donnelly, Saginaw, Mich., and David Donnelly and fiancee Betty Sanders, Tampa, Fla.; step-daughters, Judy and Ken Knefco, Ruth and Jack Patty, Sue and Butch Campbell; step-son, Robert McNally, all of Saginaw, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and daughters-in-law, Connie Grigsby Donnelly of Saginaw, Mich., and Cherie Schabel Donnelly of Treasure Island, Fla. Robert was born May 22, 1923 in Providence, R.I. to the late Maj. Walter B. and Helen Manning Donnelly. Robert served in World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was a long time Realtor in Saginaw, Mich., and retired in 1981. Robert and Betty were both long time residents of Spanish Trails Senior Village in Zephyrhills and had many friends there. Robert was buried next to beloved wife, Betty in Saginaw, Mich. on December 2 7, 2000 after a Mass of Christian Burial. A special memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills, Fla. at 10:30 a.m. Those wishing an expression of sympathy, in remembrance of Robert, may consider a memorial to St. Joseph Catholic Church of the Make a Wish Foundation.

McKAY, Geneva, 61, of Dade City, died Friday, December 30, 2000 at home. Survivors include her husband, Willie McKay; three sons, Terry (Carolyn) and Stephen (Denise), both of Dade City, and Robert Woods of Brooksville; three brothers, Jimmy Morrell of Brooksville, Frank Morrell of Dade City and Willie C. Morrell of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Susie Ward of Syracuse, NY and Louvanna Monroe of Tampa; and four grandchildren. A native of Monticello, Fla., she was a long time resident of this area. She was a Nurses Aid and a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2001. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.

NANIAN, Leo, 86, of Altamonte Springs and formerly of Zephyrhills, Fla., died December 29, 2000 at Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs, Fla. He is survived by his son, L. Richard Nanian and wife, Virginia B., of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; his sister, Margaret Talanian of Malden, Mass.; granddaughter, Jennifer Nanian of Mansfield, Mass.; grandson, Richard Nanian of Virginia; and five nieces, Den ise Doghigian of Bedford, Karen Martin of Lexington, Barbara Talanian of Malden, Linda Talanian of Malden, and Sandra Talanian of Cambridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Haytaian); his son Robert Nanian; his father Hovsep Nanian; his mother Zadel Bedrosian; and his brother Oscar Nanian. Mr. Nanian was born August 2, 1914 in Hartford, Conn., the son of Hovsep and Zadel (Bedrosian) N anian. He graduated from the Classical High School in Providence, R.I. After completing high school at the age of eighteen, he and his brother Oscar established Leo's Market on the corner of Broadway and Webster St. in Malden, Mass., which became a very popular grocery store in the area, well known for the quality of it's meats. It was a family operated business with his wife, Irene along with his brother, Oscar Nanian. His brother-in-law, Oscar Talanian, and eventually his sons, Richard and Robert always warmly greeting people as they entered the store. Leo was the chief butcher at the store which he operated for 35 years from 1932-1977. He later retired with his wife Irene to Zephyrhills, Fla., in 1978. Funeral services were held January 3, 2001 at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem S t., Malden, MA 02148. The Rev. Arch Priest Torkom Hagopian and The Rev. Father Antranig Baljian officiated. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden, Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Leo's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

ADAMSON, Violet J., 82, of Port Richey, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Violet `Nadine` Brown; brother, Earl Neese; several step children; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Arlington F.H

ALKELEWICZ, Emily Mae, born November 26, 1911 in Washington County, Arkansas. She passed away on January 2, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Akelewicz. She is survived by two daughters; Anna Mae DeDiego and Patricia (Pat) Daniels and her husband David, as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a life member of the Sunset Park Garden Club, a member o f Altrusa Club of Tampa where she was awarded Woman of the year for Altrusa in 1975 and 1977. She was a life member of Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. Mrs. Akelewicz was a Certified Flower Show judge and owned and operated Akelewicz Flowers and Gift Shop. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to her home after the service. ALVAREZ, Alfredo, age 74, of Tampa, passed away January 2, 2001. Survivors include his son,

Alfred J. Alvarez and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Cristina and

Richard Alvarez. A native of Jacksonville, Fla. and resident of Tampa for 64 years, Mr. Alvarez was a retired service technician with Sears and an Army World War II veteran. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock at Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Everyone is to meet at the cemetery for the graveside services.

ANSALDI, Angel, 58, passed away January 1, 2001 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Vera; his children, Gabriel Ansaldi, Madeline Santos and husband, Jose, and Steven Ansaldi; and his three grandchildren. He was born in Argentina and moved to Tampa in 1993 from Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a Born Again Christian and attended Rios de Agua Viva Church.

BEAZLEY, Paul Richard, 53, of Tampa passed away January 1, 2001. He is survived by his former wife, Diane; five sons, Paul C., Richie D., Matt T., Ryan N. and Kevin M.; three daughters, Gina L., Cristin N. and Alecia D.; mother, Shirley Lee Perry; two sisters, Diana Beazley and Teresa Pisczek; grandmother, Ella Varga; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Matt, Kortnee, Justin, Jadea, Kelan, Andrew and Em ily. He was an agent for American National Life Insurance. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. Interment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

BELL, John Oscar, former United States ambassador, retired University of South Florida professor, passed away on December 31, 2000 in Temple Terrace, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Ann Bell of Temple Terrace; daughters, Patricia Bell and Kathleen O'Neil; son, John Bell; stepdaughters, Dee Senia and Gail Schafer; and six grandchildren. Born October 4, 1912, Manila, Philippines. He received a B S in chemistry from George Washington University and a law degree from there as well. Mr. Bell was a member of the National War College and assisted in the formation of the North American Treaty Organization as well as the Marshall Plan. He began his career in the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a messenger and later took a position as a clerk for the State Department. He transferred to the Fore ign Service in the 1950's where he held positions as Under Secretary of State, Deputy Chief of Missions, and Ambassador. After retiring from the foreign service in 1969 he joined the faculty of the University of South Florida where he taught for 14 years. He was active in the community of Temple Terrace, especially the library. A funeral service will be held at C. E. Prevatt Funeral Home on Friday , January 5, 2001. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the service will be at 11:00 a.m. No flowers please. BRADLEY, Jean, 73, passed away January 1, 2001 in Tampa, Fla. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don (Inky) Bradley of Tampa, Fla.; daughter Mary Lou Bradley of Dade City, Fla. and a grandson Jon Noreika of Berkeley, Calif.; son Dan Bradley, daughter-in- law Lynn and grandchildren Sean and Megan of Tampa, Fla.; daughter Micki Evans and grandchildren Travis and Lisa of Toledo, Ohio; dau ghter Patty Bradley and granddaughter Laura Gerken of Toledo, Ohio and daughter Kathy Bradley of Tampa, Fla. Jean was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She and Don moved to Tallahassee, Fla. in 1976 where they resided for 11 years. They relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 1988 and finally settled in south Tampa, Fla. in 1995. Jean enjoyed a full life nurturing and providing support and encourageme nt to her whole family and all of their friends throughout all her years. There will be a visitation and prayer vigil on Thursday, January 4, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mark III Funeral Home 3328 S. Dale Mabry, Tampa, FL. A memorial mass will be said at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4522 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa, FL on Friday, January 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. A reception for family and friends will fo llow at son Dan's home on Friday following the Mass. The family requests donations in memory of Jean be made to the University of South Florida Institute on Aging, c/o The USF Foundation, 4202 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, FL 33620, a leading center on Alzheimer's Research.

Born in Akron, Ohio on July 28, 1924. He held a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Akron and a Masters Degree in Adult Education from USF. Bart was the Personnel Director for the Maas Brothers Department store in West Central Flor ida and the proprietor of The Ceramic Shed (a.k.a. Bart's Ceramics) for many years. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Masonic Lodge, Bay Area Twirlers Square Dance Club, Limonadors #139 Camping Club, the former Villa Curli Q's and West Coast Square Dance Assoc. Bart was a veteran of World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater on Guadalcanal. Bart was also a charter member of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Temple Terrace. He will be remembered as a good father and a loving husband. Visitation will be held Friday, January 5 from 6-8:00 p.m. at C.E. Prevatt Funeral Home, 9750 N. 56th St, Temple Terrace. The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace with the Rev. Waldemar Meyer officiating. DANIEL, Martha Johns, age 91, formerly of Temple Terrace passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2000, in Lansing, Michigan. Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Paul (Helen) Wesch of Owosso, Michigan, and Mrs. Fred (Geneva) Shamas of Blind River, Ontario, Canada and her dear nephew Martin L. Johns whom she resided near in Lansing, Michigan. She was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. M artha retired at the age of 82 from The Nasrallah Co. and was also a licensed real estate broker. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park where she will be interred next to her mother. Dr. Gerald Iwerks of the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church will be officiating.
