She was born on September 14, 1921 in Anderson, S.C. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2001, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. COPELAND, Jr., Ross, 86, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2000. Survived by his son, Robert, of Tampa; daughter, Sandra Yingling, of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; sister, Marjorie Reed, of Hudson, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. Veteran World War II, U.S. Army, retired from Retail Sales for Eckerd Drug Stores, and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Frid ay morning at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Tampa. Rev. Allen Johnson, Pastor of Harvester United Methodist Church, Land O'Lakes, Fla. will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Glass Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions, in memory of Mr. Copeland, may be made to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Michael and Allison Cubitt, Steven and Sharon Cubitt, David and Marion Cubitt, Glen Cubitt, Jr., and Eric and Daryl Cubitt; their father, Glen Cubitt; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Ian, Abby, Melanie, Clayton, and Colin Cubitt, and Nicole (Ron) Dibble; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and An thony Dibble; a sister, Joyce Alonzo; her brother and his wife, James and Nellie Welch; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Owen Rood. DAMICO, Tony, 89, of Tampa, passed away December 30, 2000. He is survived by his granddaughter, Tammy Sommer, of N. Richland Hills, Texas ; grandson, Mark Damico, of Glen Allen, Va. A lifetime resident of Tampa, Fla. he was born on January 25, 1911. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Mausoleum of the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Fr. EARNEST, Arman Starr Sr., 78, formerly of Boissevain, Va., passed away Monday, January 1, 2001 at his home in Land O'Lakes, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Boyd Earnest, of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; three children, Gerald Wayne `Jerry` Earnest, of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; Arman Starr Earnest Jr., of Princeton, W.Va. and James Emory Robertson a/k/a Jimmy Earnest, of Curitiba, Brazil. He is also survived by three sisters and six brothers, Wenora Earnest Sauerzoff, of Eaton Town, N.J.; Joleen Earnest Weigand, of Independance, Va.; Judith `Judy` Earnest Smith, of Lutz, Fla.; Sanford B. Earnest, of Donalsonville, Ga.; Bobby J. Earnest, of Donalsonville, Ga.; John Delano Earnest, of Bluff City, Tenn.; Charles E. Earnest, of N. Tazewell, Va.; Arlie Ray Earnest, of Reidsville, N.C. and Dwight D. Earnest, of Pottsville, Ariz. There are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also surviving. He was preceded in death by mother, Bannie Wolfe Earnest and father, Daniel P. Earnest Sr., both of Tazewell, Va.; one son, Harold Eugene Earnest, of Boissevain, Va.; one sister, Mary Kathleen Earnest Meade, of Reidsville, N.C. and two brothers, Daniel P. Earnest Jr. of Bastian, Va. and Carroll G. Earnest, of Lutz, Fla. He was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific area during World War II. A member of Lutz/Land O'Lakes VFW, The American Legion and a member of the Boissevain Baptist Church in Boissevain, Va. Viewing will take place at the Blount, C urry & Roel Funeral Home in Lutz, Fla. at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 with funeral to be held at the funeral home chapel Thursday, January 4, 2001 at noon. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, FL. Rev. A.J. Smith will be officiating. EGAN, Martin Stephen, 71, of Tampa, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away December 31, 2000. He is survived by his four sons, Richard (Sharon), Martin (Arlene), James (Heather), Michael; two daughters, Mary (Quinn), Patricia (Tim); twelve grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters. A native of New York, he resided in Tampa since 1974. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a graduate of Hofstra University. He worked in numerous cities throughout the U.S. as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, retiring after 20 years of service. Following his retirement from the F.B.I., he worked as a Staff Investigator for The Florida Bar for almost 19 years. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 4th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a wake service at 7:00 p.m. at Blount, Curry And Roel Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 5th, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5521 N. Himes Ave,with Monsignor Higgins celebrant, followed by interment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in his memory. He will be dearly missed.

ERICKSEN, Evelyn G., 85, a resident of Cocoa, Fla., passed away December 31, 2000. She is survived by three sons, Joseph Ericksen, Cocoa, Grover Ericksen, Naples, Charles Ericksen, Branford; three brothers, Garland Glies, Monk's Corner, S.C.; Olan Giles, Oakland, Calif.; Nelson Giles, Valdosta, Ga.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. HERNDON, Eloise S., 72 of Tampa, Fla. died December 29, 2000. JESSICK, Sibyl Ellen Decker, 80, of Tampa, passed away Saturday December 30, 2000 in Tampa. She is survived by her husband, Edward Victor Jessick; two daughters, Janet Lynn Jessick and Patricia Kay Hoeber, all of Tampa, Florida; three sisters, Dotty Dunbar, Jamestown, Kentucky, Dora Decker, and Pauline Decker, both of Somerset, Kentucky; two brothers, Andrew Decker, Somerset, Kentucky, and Alb ert Decker, Smyrna, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bonnie Roy and Emma Pierce; four brothers, Herman Guy, Homer, Augustus Quinton, and Delno Decker. Mrs Jessick was born April 22, 1920 in Conrad, Kentucky, and was a long-time resident of the Detroit, Michigan area. She was the daughter of the late Teddy C. and Nora Whitaker Decker. She was a 1939 graduate of Nancy High School, Nancy, Kentucky, a 1941 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky, and was a retired teacher and homemaker. She taught grades 1-8 at Van Hoosier Elementary School in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She lived in Lexington, Ky. from 1968-1972. A private memorial service will be held in Tampa. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Decker Family Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky. Mrs. Loomis was a native of Thomasville, Ga. and had been a longtime resident of Tampa. She graduated in 1983 from University Of South Florida first in her class with numerous honors. She was a special edu cation teacher at Westshore Elementary School at the time of her death. She was a member of Grace Church of The Nazarene, National Teachers Assoc., Hillsborough County Teachers Assoc. and the Florida Teachers Assoc. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

MARTIN, Elda, 84, of Tampa, Fla. died Sunday, December 31, 2000 at Manor Care. Survived by a brother, Cosimo Martinetto and numerous nieces and nephews of St. Petersburg. Born in Texas , she came to Tampa 25 years ago from New York City. She was an executive secretary with Crucible Steel Corp. in N.Y. City and more recently had worked at Speedling Div. of Lykes Corp. in Riverview, Fla.

MARTINEZ, Maria L. age 87, of Tampa, passed away January 1, 2001. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her son, Wendell Sulsona and wife, Gloria; grandchildren Wendell Jr. and Sandra; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jordan and Kristina; companion, Angelo and brothers, Manuel and Cheo Martinez; Maria was a special mother and grandmother and we will all miss her. A native of Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico and r esident of Tampa for the past 17 years. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. McKENNA, John J. Jr., 86, of Sun City Center, passed away December 30, 2000 in Sun City Center. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Sun City Center; daughter, JoAnn McKenna, of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Marie Bigley, of Nutley, N.J.; two grandaughters, Erika and Laura Steiger, of Los Angeles. A native of Newark, N.J., Mr. McKenna moved to the area in 1984 from Madison, N.J. He had served as the Superintendent of Schools in both Princeton and Madison, N.J. He had served as a Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, a member of the Retired Officer's Association and one of the founding members o f the Caloosa Golf Club. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Wildlife Foundation. Mrs. Mount was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Mount and is survived by her son Frederick Newton of Valrico, Fla.; one stepdaughter Mildred Ryan of Trenton, N.J.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A native of Trenton, N.J. Mrs. Mount moved to Pinellas Park, Fla. in 1969 and then t o Seffner in 1989. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, the family will receive friends one hour before services. Survivors include his wife, Frayda, Orlando; sons, David Oliphant, Nashville, Tenn.; and Larry Oliphant, Orlando; daughters, Gail Oliphant, Orlando, and Evelyn Martinez, Orlando; and six grandchildren. Mr. Oliphant was born in Miami and resided in Tampa from 1950 until moving to Orlando in 1991. He was a former member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the DAV. Graveside services will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery with Rabbi Marc Sack officiating.
