BLANCHARD, Mary Edna, 95, of Tampa passed away on March 29, 2001. She is survived by her son, Wesley Blanchard; daughter, Myra D. Blanchard; brother, Paul H. Fulford; and four sisters, Bette Powell, Iris Morrow, Marjorie Hall, and Elma Mae Molt; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blanchard was a long time member of Seminole Heights United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Adams and Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ron Degenero and Rev. Clark Edwards officiating. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family requests in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Seminole Heights United Methodist Memorial Fund. BOAEN, Joe L., born November 29, 1938 in Mead, Oklahoma, died March 19, 2001 in Douglasville, Georgia. Survived by his mother, Bernice Handland of Tampa; his sister, Loreta Boaen Hitchcock and her husband Tom also of Tampa; sons, Billy Joe and Jerry Boaen of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Douglasville, Georgia respectively, and long time friend Lynn Waugh of Douglasville, Georgia. Mr. Boaen was a 20 year Navy and Coast Guard veteran. A memorial service with full military honors was held on March 22, 2001 in Douglasville, Georgia.

BOATRIGHT, Byron F. Jr., passed away March 29, 2001 at age 61. Survivors include his dedicated wife, Jane; daughter, Stephanie and her husband Steven; son, Byron F. Boatright III; three step-daughters, Phylicia Cartwright, Elizabeth Gottas and Renee Warmack. Also he is survived by his brothers, Al and his wife Libby, Harvey and his wife Ann; sister, Kay Kersey and her husband Jack; six grandchi ldren and many nieces and nephews. A native of Tampa, he attended Hillsborough High and then spent two years in the Coast Guard. He was a Catholic and was a champion for the working man or woman. He was the business manager of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union #123 in Tampa. He was loved by all and will be missed terribly. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Blo unt Curry & Roel Funeral Homes, Garden of Memories Chapel with interment to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. FERNANDEZ, Delia, passed away February 28, 2001 in Rialto, Calif. She was a native of Tampa. She is survived by her son, Luis Fernandez and wife, Alba; four grandchildren and six great- grandchildren, all from Rialto, Calif. GOFF, Jr., George Dewey, age 82, of Tampa died Thursday, March 29, 2001. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deedee Renberg. Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy C. Goff; brother, Jack L. Goff of Jensen Beach, Fla.; granddaughters, Sharon Adkins, Sandra Higgins and Robin Guinee; great-grandchildren, Sean Santamaria, Nikki Adkins, Krystina Adkins, Melyssa Adkins, Erin Hi ggins and Shannon Guinee. Mr. Goff was born in Jacksonville and came to Tampa in 1948 from Ft. Myers. He was part-owner of Goff Jewelry and eventually retired from Zales Jewelers. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where he had been an usher and served as treasurer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of the D.A.V. In 1962 he was presi dent of the greater Tampa Merchants Assn., past president of the Silver Lake Golf and Country Club, treasurer of the Latin American Fiesta, a life member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, life member of Egypt Temple Shrine, life member of the Tropical Masonic Lodge, Ft. Myers and charter president of the Ft. Myers Shrine. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 902 S. Orleans Avenue, Tampa. Reverend Harry W. Benter will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Episcopal Parish.

GONZALEZ, Olga `Mima`,70, of Tampa, died March 28, 2001 in Tampa. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ramiro Gonzalez. Survivors included her daughters; Mercy G. Nunez and Matty Desilvio and husband Nicola, brother; Alfredo Napoles, sister; Asela Francisco, granddaughters; Adriana and Kiara Desilvio, daughter of the heart; Mary Gramer and several nieces and nephews. Mima had many jobs in her lifetime. Her favorite being a mother and grandmother. She was our guidance counselor, our friend, a diplomat, spiritual leader, care giver and many more. Her legacy will always be remembered through her thoughtfulness, friendships and strength. As she always wanted she will live in peace forever with Dad in the house of the Lord surrounded by `all her angels`. LEE-FLORES, Mary Ellen, 69, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away Friday, March 30, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Rear Admiral Joseph L. Flores; her sons, Michael of Charleston, SC, Dominique of Boca Raton, FL, and Rene of Dallas, TX ; her mother, Olivera Lee of Tybee Island, GA; and her brother, Raleigh Lee of Atlanta, GA. A native of Savannah, GA, she came to Sun City Center in 1993 fro m Honolulu, HI. She had attended Valdosta State College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters Degree in Journalism where she was also a co-professor of Journalism. She was a professional musician and a piano and organ instructor. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a member and president of several Navy Wives Clubs. Services will be held in Savannah, GA with interment at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah. Lewers Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

McKEAG, Connor Farrell, infant son of Derek and Tiffany McKeag passed away March 27, 2001 at St. Joseph's Women Hospital. He is also survived by his brothers, Derek Steven Jr., Dylan Michael, and Tristan Riley; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Virginia Farrell; his paternal grandparents, David and Betty McKeag; and his maternal great-grandmother Phyllis Farrell.

PARKER, Robert V., 69, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 30, 2001, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; sons and daughters-in- law, Matthew R. and Emily Parker of Gainesville, Fla. and Rev. Brian A. and Kristi Parker of Brandon; grandsons, Joshua and Micah; brother and sister- in-law, William and Patty Parker of Columbus, Ohio and brother-in-law and sister-in-law , Arthur and Toni Keller of Blairsville, Ga. Mr. Parker was born in Leland, Ill. but moved to Columbus, Ohio at an early age. After graduating from Ohio State, he served as an officer in the US Air Force. Moving to Tampa in 1959, he was employed by General Telephone Company, GTE Service Corporation and GTE Data Services. He served in various executive capacities in Tampa and Pinellas Counties and was Eastern Division Manager of Polk County operations before transferring to the Service Corporation in Stamford, Conn. He subsequently held director and vice president positions in GTEDS and the GTE Service Corporation in Stamford, Tampa and Noblesville, IN. After retirement from GTE, Mr. Parker owned General Business Services. He was active in the community through involvement in the Hillsborou gh, Polk and Pinellas County United Ways, Rotary Club, Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America-Gulf Ridge Council, Little League and the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra. His hobbies included baseball and golf. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. The family invites friends to attend a memorial service at Belmont Baptist Church, 7830 N. 56th Street, Tampa, on Monday April 2, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

ROMANO, Jack L., 62, a life-long resident of Tampa, died at his home on March 30, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara Barritt Romano; daughters, Evans Romano Snead of Charlotte, N.C. and Tracy Romano Kral of Tampa; sons-in-law, T. Morgan Snead and S. Kristopher Kral; mother, Annabeth Barksdale; brothers, Jerry Romano of Medford, Mass. and Ron Barksdale of Tampa; sisters-in-law , Suzy Barritt Gilbert of Rome, Ga., Nancy Barritt of Tampa, and Ellie Romano of Medford, Mass.; brother-in-law, Dr. Peter Gilbert of Rome, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. He attended local schools, graduating from H.B. Plant High School in 1956 and University of Georgia in 1960. Jack was an active member of Tampa's business community, a philanthropist, humanitarian and civic leader. He served a s president or chairman of numerous organizations including Tampa General Hospital Foundation, Merchants Association of Florida, United Way of Greater Tampa, Kappa Alpha Order Alumni, Merrymakers Club, The Exchange Club of Tampa, University Club of Tampa, and Tampa Yacht & Country Club. He also served on the boards of Southern Exchange Bank, Tampa Museum of Art, Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, Ybor City Development Corporation, Florida Mental Health Board, and Gulf Ridge Council Boy Scouts. He was also a member of Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. While his tireless commitment to enhance the quality of life in Tampa was steadfast, his family and friends were his joy. His tenacity, strength, courage, and determ ination were an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 2 at St. John's Episcopal Church at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at home following the service. ROSE, Raymond Glenn, 70, of Tampa, passed away March 29, 2001. He was the son of Otis and Beulah Rose of Illinois. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lillian Cazin Rose; his two daughters, Rebecca Johnson and husband Mark of Tampa, Paula Sheldon and husband Mark of Safety Harbor; three grandsons, Jesse Raymond Dion, Ryan Sheldon, and Andrew Sheldon; four siblings, Edith Bradford of Glen Carbon, IL, Edwin Rose of Florence, TX, Ruby Nunley of Ellisnore, MO, and Dale Rose of Troy, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Illinois, Ray served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After the war, he worked as a certified property manager for commercial real estate for most of his career. He was past president of the Latin American Fiesta Gauchos. He was a member of Americ an Legion Post 193. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, April 2 at 3:00 p.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 10110 Central Ave. N., Tampa.
