HOUCK, Mary Jean, 83, of Odessa, died August 1, 2001 at the University Hospital of Carrollwood. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fenton; two sons, Douglas L. Houck of Odessa, Fla. and Fred R. Houck of Clearwater;sister, Lois Rillston of Dearborn, Mich.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan and moved to the area in 1978 from Ann Arb or, Michigan where she retired. She was an interior designer for the University of Michigan for ten years. She also managed and co-owned `Superior Dairy` Delicatessen in Ypsilanti, Mich. for 18 years. She was president of the ZONTA Club in Ann Arbor, and she enjoyed painting and sewing. JOHNSON, Joseph W. `Red`, 84, of Plant City, passed away August 2, 2001. He is survived by one son, three daughters, one sister, and several grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was a retired Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Beaty officiating. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

GAYDOS, William, 87, died July 31, 2001 in Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret; three daughters, Patricia Saucerman and husband Dan of Shawnee, Kan.; Mardi Mellon of Washington , D.C., and Pamela Leese and husband, Dennis of Edina, Minn.; three grandchildren, Spencer, Michael and Mardi Leese. Mr. Gaydos was a 33 year resident of Tampa. A member of the Rotary Club and St. Paul Catholic Church. He worked for Owens-Corning Fiberglass for 46 years and served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Air Corps in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star and Croix de Guerre with a Silver Star.
