LAFOUNTAIN, Mary Micka, 91, of New Port Richey, died July 29, 2001. She is survived by only son, James Roy LaFountain of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles; and parents, Katerina and Joseph Micka. Mrs. LaFountain was blessed to have 10 grandchildren, Mary Anne, Tom, Jim, Bill, Susan, Geri, John, Kathy, Joseph and Chris. Also 20 great-grandchildren. She was born De cember 4, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. Beloved mother and grandmother going on before us beyond death unto eternal life with Jesus. She showed us how to live a life of service to others. In dying she showed us by her gentle passing not to fear death. Born in one century and died in another. She has touched so many lives in her 91 years. Her gift to God was to cook and to take care of others. So many people walked through her doors and ate at her table. She will be missed not only for the wonderful food that was prepared but the great love and wisdom she shared with us all. Private services will be held. Survivors include his loving companion, Shirley Sullivan, Port Richey; one son, David Lee, Oldsmar, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph Lee, Indianapolis, Ind.; Herbert Lee, Garland, Texas ; surrogate daughter, Boots Sullivan, Tampa, Fla. He was born in Pahoa Puna, Hawaii and came here 13 years ago from Fort Washington , Maryland. He was retired military served in the United States Army during Korea and Viet Nam. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. PLA, Augustine, 58, died July 30, 2001 in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, Augustine M. Pla of Tampa, Fla.; three daughers, Rosie Buseman and Michelle Pla, both of Tampa, Fla.; and Rhonda Eddy of St Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Sandy Lawson of Riverview, Fla.; and two grandchildren. RHEIN, Theodore Lee `Ted`, 60, died July 30, 2001. Survived by wife, Ruby; five daughters, a brother, sister, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Services are Thusday, at King's F.H., Cadiz, Ky.

SPOTO, Clarabelle Mary, 88, of Tampa passed away Sunday, July 22, 2001. Survivors include her son, Daniel V. Spoto, M.D. of Sarasota; daughter, Theresa Henry of Jacksonville; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Born in Bono, Ohio, Mrs. Spoto moved to Florida in 1942. Graveside services will be held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2001.

HOLINBAUGH, Thomas DeWayne, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep with is family by his side, after a prolonged illness July 29, 2001. Survived by his wife, Dorothea of Wesley Chapel; one son, Thomas D. Holinbaugh, Jr. of Denver Colo.; one daughter, Sandra Holinbaugh Beltz of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Charlotte McWilliams of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Caroline Beltz of Rochester, N.Y. and Susannah Beltz of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. Thomas was born January 1, 1925 in Warren, Ohio, and came to the Zephyrhills area in 1994 from Rochester, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Navy, an avid golfer, and a Methodist. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.

DORR, Raymond Joseph, 78, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at home. He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Raymond; and three daughters, Carolyn Depts, Virginia Dorr, and Terri McCullough; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Dorr came here from Mountain Top, Pa. over 25 years ago. He was a World War II Veteran where he served with Colonel Johnson's Marauders in the Philippine Islands. He is originally from upstate New York where in high school he graduated as Valedictorian from Utica Free Academy and was scheduled to be part of the U.S. Olympic diving team when World War II started. At present there is no Memorial service scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pepin Heart Institute, University Hospital, Tampa, Fla. AMEY, Dr. Brent David, 55, died in Tampa at St. Joseph's Hospital Friday, July 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Twila Richards Amey; daughter Ashley, 18; son Grant, 16; mother, Bernadette Amey; sisters, Karlyn Curran and Susan Lavin (husband Mike); mother-in-law Marie Richards; brother and sister-in-law Rev. Gene and Cindy Richards; and nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of the Universi ty of Kentucky Medical School with residency at USF College of Medicine. He was diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Following a 22 year career as an emergency department physician at St. Josephs Hospital, Dr. Amey served as the Director of the Emergency Depar tment, St. Josephs, Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs, St. Anthony's Hospital (1993-97) and at his death was the Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs at St. Joseph's Baptist Health Care. Dr. Amey was one of the leaders in the development of the Paramedic Program for the Tampa Fire Rescue in its early years. He was an advisor to the Hillsborough County EMS. Visitation will be held at Bloun t Curry & Roel Funeral Home, 3207 Bearss Ave. Monday from 6-9:00 p.m. with services to be held at Idlewild Baptist Church, 1515 W. Bearss Ave., where Dr. Amey was a member, on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12720 Memorial Dr. In Dr. Ameys memory donations may be sent to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation-Tampa Children's Hospital, 4600 N. BLISS, Charles August, 76 of Lutz passed away Saturday, July 28, 2001. He was predeceased by son, Leroy Bradley and granddaughter Lindsay. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Inez; sons, Jim and wife Mary Beth and Alan and wife Gloria; grandchildren, Shannon, Alex, Curtis, Clinton and Caitlyn all of Lutz; sister, Marie Ward of Tampa and brother, Herbert of Washington . He has been a resident of Lutz since 1958. He owned and operated Charles Bliss Produce in West Central Florida for 55 years. He was active in the Lutz Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, retiring as President. He helped to found the Babe Ruth Baseball League in the '60s and was active for many years. He was on the Board of Directors of the original Lutz State Bank, Optimist Club of Lutz and he was a 32 degree Mason at Fellowship Lodge 265. Our Papa was a hard working, family loving, honest man. We all love him and will miss his presence greatly. Until we all meet in heaven, rest in peace Papa. A graveside service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Gardner Cemetery in Gardner, Florida on Tuesday 10:30 a.m. July 31, 2001, with Pallbearers, Alex, Curtis, and Clinton Bliss, andDuane Bittner. Honorary Pallbearers, Jim Turner and Tommy Sims. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. CRUSOE, Oswald S., 93, of Tampa, died Saturday, July 28, 2001. One of ten children of Mr. Edwin E. Crusoe III and Consuelo Lopez Crusoe. He is survived by a brother, John Anthony Crusoe of Winter Haven, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. Born in Key West, Fla. on November 5, 1907 he attended St. Joseph's Catholic School For Boys where he won a medal for math and another for deportment. In the 19 30's he was a member of The Tampa Times and the Associated Press. Mr. Crusoe was in the Air Force for two years and spent the next twenty-nine years at MacDill Field under Civil Service where he was a teacher of electronics and later a computer analyst. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Tampa Unity, 3302 Horatio. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Children's Home, Inc. or Tampa Unity in his memory.

FORBES, Douglas P., 77 of Tampa passed away Saturday morning, July 28, 2001. He is survived by his son, Brian D. Forbes and wife Regina P. of Orlando; daughter, Donna S. Forbes- Ehinger and husband Robert C. of Odessa; two grandchildren, Alexandra P. Forbes and Skylar P. Forbes. He had live in the Tampa Bay area from 14 years, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and was a native of Hartford, Conn . A veteran of World War II U.S. Army, he served his country in the Battle of the Bulge and was a Combat Wounded Soldier. He was an electrician and a member of the I.B.E.W. Union, past member of the Masonic Lodge in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and a member of the D.A.V. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

LITTLETON, James Grantham `Babe`, 75 of Tampa, passed away Saturday, 28 July, 2001 of a heart attack. He is predeceased by his brother, Tom; and is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two children, Gary Littleton and Cynthia Clark; a grandson, James Dunlap III; a great- granddaughter, Tristan; nephew, Tom Littleton; and sister-in-law, Alice Littleton. He served in the Navy during World War II. He joined the Tampa Police Department on his 21st birthday, and he retired as Chief of Police April 1974 after 27 years of service. `Josie` Armayor, 80 a native of Tampa, Fla. passed away on July 27, 2001. Mrs. Maggio is preceded in death by her first husband Laudies I. Nelson Jr., who died during World War II; Sam Maggio, her second husband and her sister Argen Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Morris and her husband Jim; granddaughter, Cindy Morris; sisters, Katy McGehee and her husband Ike, Marina Hart; and several loving nieces and nephews. She will be remembered always by her kindness and gentleness towards others. An angel on earth has been added to heaven. REGISTER, Kate Virginia, 86, of Plant City, Fla. passed away on July 28, 2001 at Health Center of Plant City. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn W. Register. She is survived by a brother, Robert Wallace of Plant City; and many nieces and nephews. A native of Ashburn, Ga., Mrs. Register moved to Plant City in 1924 from Ashburn, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the Hil lsborough Co. Schools where she was a school bus driver. ABLES, Murray F., M.D, 68, of Hudson, formerly of Tampa, died Friday, July 27, 2001. Survived by his wife, Norma; 12 children; a sister, Patty Akins, Tulsa, Okla.; and 22 grandchildren. He retired as a Psychiatric Physician from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Bay Pines, after 30 years of service. He was a Lieutenant/ Radar Specialist with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Kor ean Conflict. He was a member of the American Psychiatric Assoc., the American Medical Assoc., and the Gulf Island Beach & Tennis Club Assoc., Hudson. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc.
