MAY, Jackie C. ,69 , of Zephyrhills passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. Jackie is survived by his wife Lena; a son, Terry of Greensboro, N.C.; two daughters, Debbie Weatherman of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Tammy Rachel May of Brooksville; three sisters, Anna Lou Porter of Columbia, S.C. Janice Spence and Maxie Browning both of Wharncliff, W.Va.; s even grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Richey Chapel on North Ave. with Pastor Gene Burrows officiating. Jackie was a native of Gilbert, W.Va. and had moved to Zephyrhills four years ago from Dade City. He had been a welder working for many years in the coal mining industry in W.Va. and was a Protestant by faith. Jackie will be buried in his hometown in W.Va. at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until service time.

ROBBINS, Donald S. `Jack`, Jr., 81, of Zephyrhills, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001. He is survived by five children, Marsha Schopt of Altamonte Springs, Fla., Mary (Lee) Machan of Indianapolis, Ind., Donald S. (Gloria) Robbins, III of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Rodney (Chris) Robbins of Petoskey, Mich. and Barry (Sue) Wiggins of Saginaw, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-g reat-grandchildren; and his special friend and companion, Marjorie Conklin of Zephyrhills. Jack (whom his Mother nicknamed at birth) was born January 1, 1920 in Battle Creek, Mich. to Donald S. and Luella Robbins. His father died in 1969 and his mother in 1995. Jack lived most of his life in Alma, Mich. where he graduated from Alma High School and attended Davenport Institute in Grand Rapids, Mich . Upon completion he returned to Alma and worked for Consumer Power Company and eventually purchased The Main Cafe restaurant in Alma in 1964 which he owned until he retired in 1979. He and his wife Thelma moved to Englewood, FL and eventually to Zephyrhills and enjoyed golf and traveling. Thelma passed away in 1997. Jack was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Alma, Mich. A memorial servic e will be held for immediate family only. Jack will be sadly missed by his family and friends.. .`oh, that we should all have that much spunk in our step when we reach our eighties.` Jack always had a bag packed ready and waiting for his next trip, a final journey he is now taking to the best destination EVER! Jack entered the Hospice House in Dade City on Friday, July 20, 2001 and was beautifully cared for by the wonderful staff and many wonderful volunteers. Contributions will be accepted in his memory to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, 37441 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.

CARLSON, Willard E., Lt. Cmdr. (Retired), 86, of Gainesville, Fla., died Friday, September 28, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville. He is survived by his daughters, Dianne C. Lauramoore of Gainesville, Karen C. Robinson of San Antonio, Texas , and Leanne C. Overstreet of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wif e, Edna M. Carlson and a son, Gary W. Carlson. A native of Portland Oregan, he was a decendent to early settlers of the Oregon Trail. He attended the University of Washington and was a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, Groton, Conn. He served twenty-three years as an Engineer with the Coast Guard before retiring to Dade City, Fla. He later served a tour with the Merchant Marines d uring the Vietname War. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed his hobbies, shipbuilding and woodworking. He was an avid learner and enjoyed the challenge of expanding his knowledge about history, math and religion. In 1986 he moved to Crystal River, where he resided for 15 years, before moving to Gainesville, Fla., in February 2001 to be closer to his family. He was a member of the First United Met hodist Church of Dade City and a Mason. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 1, 2001, at 2:00p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Hill Garden Cemetary, Dade City, Fla., with military Honors. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Children Cancer, 4901 W. Cypress St., Tampa, Fla., 33607.

DIXON, Otis, E., 79, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Friday, September 28, 2001, in Dade City. He is survived by one brother, James B. Dixon from La Follette, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews including Jerry & Cookie Marcum from Dade City, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Dixon. He was born September 24, 1922 in Ford Ridge, Tenn., and moved to the Dade City area 21 years ago from St. Petersburg, Fla. He was a retired Carrier for the St. Petersburg Times Publishing CO., was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Dade City, and was a World War II Army Veteran. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00p.m., Monday, October 1, 2001, at the Coleman & Fergusen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00p.m., Tuesday, at the Memorial Park Cemetary in St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be sent to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice, c/o 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, Fla., 34667.

OLAH, Betty, 86, of Ridge Manor, died September 26, 2001 at Hernando/Pasco Hospice House, Clinton Ave., Dade City. She is survived by one son, Christopher and Kathy Olah of Lakewood, Ohio; three daughters, Roberta and Anthony Restifo of Ridge Manor, Beatrice and Robert Seahorn of Ridge Manor, and Susan and John Brabander of Broadview Heights, Ohio; one sister, Margaret Kassovic of North Olmsted , Ohio. She was the devoted grandmother of ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Born in Eva, Ohio, she moved to this area 15 years ago from Cleveland, Ohio. She was a housewife and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Brooksville. Funeral Service for Mrs. Olah will be held Monday, October 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City with Pastor James Lau rence officiating, assisted by Pastor Richard Drankwalter. Entombment will follow the service in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, Dade City. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. EDWARDS, Bonnie Belle, 87, of Tampa passed away Saturday, September 29, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Van Edwards and son, Richard `Dick` Edwards. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth `Betsy` Daboll and son-in-law, Louis of Melbourne, Fla.; grandson, Mark Daboll and his wife Jennifer of Tampa; granddaughters, Lynne Benck and her husband William of Gainsville, Fla. , and Bonnie Daboll of Gainsville; great-grandchildren, Katie, Emily and Matt. Born in Plant City, Bonnie moved to Tampa in 1930. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church for 60 years and taught Sunday School for over 30 years. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Louis T. Edwards officiating. Interment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

FREDERICK, Marie Fought, of Seffner passed away Saturday, September 29, 2001. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth E. Frederick, Sr. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth E. Frederick, Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., Michael G. Frederick of Bloomingdale, Fla., and Thomas R. Frederick of Barberton, Ohio; daughter, Sue E. Beatty of Seffner, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A native of Elizabeth, W.Va., she moved to Tampa in 1966 from Manchester, Ohio. Mrs. Frederick was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution.

MAGERS, Martha `Fran` Cunningham, 82, of Tampa died at home Friday, September 28, 2001. She is survived by her twin daughters, Karen Gay of Tampa and Sharon Kelly of Waldport, Ore.; one son, Stephen Magers of Tampa; her brothers, Earl Cunningham, Leon Cunningham and his wife, Jewell, all of Slidell, La., and Milton Cunningham of Tampa; grandchildren, Scott and Jon Ellis, Catherine Seitzler and Barbara Daschke; nine great-grandchildren; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Cunningham of Slidell, Ala., and her sister, Irene Summerline of Tampa. She was born in Abbeville, Ala., and traveled all over the world as an Air Force wife. She was a homemaker and mother of three. After moving to Tampa in 1967, she owned and operated Cecil R. Bagley Co. until she retired in 1989. She was a Lioness in the Palma Ceia Lion's Club and a member of the Palma Ceia United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held 10:00a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

MASTERS, Robert C., 71, of Haines City, Fla., passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Fusako Masters of Haines City, Fla.; son, William ``Bill" Masters and wife Julie of Lakeland, Fla.; daughter, Suzanna Meadows and husband Wade of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Frances Ready and husband Leo of Tampa, Fla.; sister-in-law, Shirley Masters of Eaton Park, Fla.; grandson, Jo nathan Robert Masters of Lakeland, Fla.; granddaughter, Michelle Nicole Masters of Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William ``Bill" Masters, Cecil Masters and Allen ``R.B." Masters. Mr. Masters was born November 17, 1929, in Haines City and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired Master Sgt. with the United State Airforce, having served in t he Vietname War. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00p.m. Sunday, at the Lane-Holt Funeral Home, Haines City, Florida. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Fla.

METZIERE, Arnold F., 76, died Thursday, September 27, 2001, at the University Community Hospital in Tampa, Fla. He is survived by his sons, Tim Davis and Arnold Metziere, both of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Gail Self of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Gloria Erskine of Lakeland, Fla., and Pat Barker of Tampa, Fla. Mr. Metziere was a retired glazier for Hillborough County School Board, where he worked for 3 0 years. He was born December 8, 1924 in Jacksonville, Florida. He served in the Air Force during World War II. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2001, 2:00p.m. at his daughter's home.

Davis of Roswell, Ga., and Antoinette Drew of Manchester, N.H. Mr. Noyes was a native of Mitchell Field, New York and had resided in the Tampa area since 1960. He was in yard maintenance and was a Catholic.

ALLEN , Karen L. `Butler`, 43, of Land 0' Lakes, passed away September 29, 2001. On Saturday evening, surrounded by her family and friends, a beautiful soul went peacefully home. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Her faith and strength, her lovely smile and her open heart welcomed many into her home and fed many by her campfire. She will be greatly missed by her loving husb and, Bart; her children, Jessica and Crystal Butler, Jessica and Tommy Warren, J.D. and Rick Allen; all of the other children who called her mom; her granddaughter, Katlyn Warren; her parents; three sisters and a brother; her numerous friends from Grainger, Ballooning, Sign Design, the Town & Country Church of the Nazarene and all of the Allen Family. John was Scout Leader of Troop #52, Riverview and East Bay Little League coach for several years, member of Riverview Volunteer Fire Department for 7 years, an E.M.T. and member of Riverview 1st Assembly of God's Christian Tae Kwon Do and a professional truck driver.
