SWEAT, Oliver Mayo, 85, of Zephyrhills, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, October 2, 2001 in Dade City. He is survived by his wife, Winona Sweat of Zephyrhills; his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Ann Sweat of Zephyrhills; his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and James Childers of Zephyrhills; three grandchildren, Julie Serneels, Nora Childers Gibbs and Troy Sweat; and three great-grandchildren, Stevie, Keely, and Kelsy Serneels. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Juanita Wells Sweat. He was born July 27,1916 in Berrien County, Ga., and moved to this area in 1939 from Hahira, Ga. He was a member of the VFW Post #4283 in Dade City and the Calvary Baptist Church. He was a beloved and respected Preacher who ministered to countless friends and family at hospitals and nursing homes. Funeral Ser vices will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2001 at the Coleman & Ferguson Chapel. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday (today) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral home in Dade City. Flowers will be gratefully accepted, but those that wish may send donations in his memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice Assoc. c/o 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.

WILSON, Bertha N. 85, passed away October 2, 2001 in Zephyrhills. Survived by her children: seven daughters, Betty Ann Abney of Dade City, Helen Geneva Smith of Hartford, Ala., Rose Marie Peterson of Riverview, Pat Edna Vain of Tampa, Catherine Naomi Gerrish of New Port Richey, Joyce Esther Geiger of Moultrie, Ga. and Diana Ruth Brown of Inverness; son, Richard Dean Wilson of Tampa; 24 grandchi ldren, 16 great- grandchildren, one great- great-granddaughter. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2001 at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

BATES, William C., 85, a 23 year resident of Sun City Center, passed away October 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Ruth T. `Johnnie`; five sons, Terry, Doug, Jim, Tom, and Steve; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of the United Community Church and an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bates was the Starter for the Sun City Center South Golf Course for 18 years. Lewers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BRYAN, Wilda, 79 of Tampa passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2001. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharalyn Bennett of Tampa, Marcellyn Diaz of Boca Grande, Fla.; a brother, George Linder of Pennsylvania ; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bryan was a Classroom Teacher retiring in 1984 from Lutz Elementary School and was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. Services will be held in Pennsylvania .

CASE, Grace (Mc Kee), died Tuesday, October 2, 2001. Wife of the late Ralph P. Case. Surviving family includes her niece and god child Michele Kelly and nephew William Fitzpatrick. She is the sister and sister-in-law of the late William J. and Mary B. Mc Kee, Tarpon Springs. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Brooklyn College, New York City. Mrs. Case held many positions, inc luding head of the record department in Wurlitzer's Music Store on 42nd street, N.Y.; drill press operator in the war plant during World War II; payroll clerk in Hunter College; and a licensed elementary school teacher in various New York City public schools. On a leave of absence, Mrs. Case also taught in France and Germany. Upon retirement she lived in West Dennis on Cape Cod, Massachusetts with her husband Ralph as full time residents. They traveled extensively in our country and abroad. Following Ralph's death in 1991, Mrs. Case sold their home and land and moved to Tarpon Springs. Memorial funeral services and interment will be in Massachusetts, next to her husband Ralph Case, at a later date.

DAWSON, Eugenia, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2001 in Little Rock, Ark. Mrs. Dawson was the widow of Herman Dawson. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jack Desautels, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; one brother, Melvin Glazier and one sister, Maude Wiklanski both of Michigan; three grandchildren, Michael Desautels, of Big Sky, Mont., Pamela Nelson of Hot Sp rings Village, Ark., and Gregory Desautels and wife, Lisa and three great-grand- children of Green Bay, Wis. Mrs. Dawson is a former resident of Tampa and a member of the First Reformed Church of Tampa.

Survived by wife, Shirley Ann of Trinidad, Texas ; two daughters, Jennifer of Tampa and Sarah of Trinidad, Texas ; son, Andy of Tampa; step-son, Rick of Tampa; uncle, Orin Tabor of Bluefield, W.Va. and two grandchildren. ENFINGER, Lannie Deal, 91 of Okeechobee, Florida and formerly of Plant City, Fla. passed away on October 3, 2001 in Okeechobee Fla. Preceded in death by a son, James G. Enfinger in 1977, she is survived by her loving family: her three sons, Reverend Dallas M. Enfinger and his wife, Elsie of Okeechobee, Fla.; Raleigh E. Enfinger and his wife, Diane of Hudson, Fla., and Billy Joe Enfinger and his wife, Lillian of Orlando, Fla.; her daughter, Mary Clark and her husband, C. Wade of Tifton, Ga.; eleven grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the graveside at the Dover Cemetery, Dover, Fla. at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, October 5, 2001 with Reverend John Dorough, to officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour before services until the time of the service. She was a wonderful loving mother, loved by all of her children and grandchildren. A native of Dothan, Alabama and a local resident since 1930; Mrs. Enfinger was a retired Food Services Director at the South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City; a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover for over 55 years; a member of the Eastern Star, Turkey Creek Chapter; a member of the Plant City Pilot Club; a member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club in Plant City and a Volunteer at the Plant City Tourist Welcome Center in Plant City.

HATCHER, Doris E Rowe, of Lutz passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2001. Doris was born April 5, 1940 in Kingston, N.Y. to Claude E. Rowe and Gladys Harvey Rowe, and moved to Florida in 1969. She is survived by her four children, Cindy Larkey of Holiday, Andrew Ross of Temple Terrace, Malcolm Ross of Lutz, and Amanda Hatcher of Thonotosassa; her sister, Joan Rose of Kingston, N.Y.; her mother, Gl adys Rowe of Lake Katrine, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors Friday, October 5, 2001 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 18310 US Hwy. 41, Lutz. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

HOLTON, Jack M., Sr., age 70, of Tampa, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2001. Survivors include his wife: Jean M. Holton, sons: Jack M. Holton, Jr. and his wife Dot and Steve Holton; daughter: Valerie Dilar and her husband Ted; sister: Alice Littleton; and granddaughter: Miranda Holton. Mr. Holton was retired from American Can Company after 30 years of service and was a lifelong resident of Ta mpa. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning 11:00 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home.

JENSEN, Beryl Elizabeth Carter, 88, of Port Huron, Mich., formerly of Valrico passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2001. Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold P. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Lynn A. and Margie Jensen of Leesburg, Va., Gordon P. and Patty Jensen of Wausau, Wisc.; daughters and their husbands, Nora A. and David Horrell of Los Alamos, N.M., Jean P. and Thomas Norager of Port Huron, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jensen was a longtime elementary school teacher in Wisconsin before retiring to Florida with her husband. She was active in musical activities all her life in connection with her profession and her church. In Port Huron, she organized a sing along group at Porthaven Manor where she resided. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Limona Village Chapel, United Methodist Church with Dr. Timothy J. Clemons, Pastor officiating. Interment to follow at Limona Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Those who wish may make contributions to the American Red Cross Chapter in her memory.

KOCHER, John Blake, 85, lifelong resident of Tampa died October 4, 2001. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Haven Kocher; daughters, Suzanne Jessamyn, Joanne Karpay of Tampa and son, Dwight Kocher of Stephens City, Va.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Elmer Kocher and Robert Kocher of Tampa. He was a WWII veteran and a member of Palma Ceia United Methodist Church. He retired after 30 years with Tampa Armature Works. A graveside service will be held 12 Noon Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from

10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Mr. Kocher's memory.

KOVACH, JR., Edward Lewis, 44, of Tampa, went to be in the arms of the Lord on October 1, 2001 after a long illness. MOORE, Sara F., 98 of Tampa passed away October 3, 2001. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Moore. She is survived by her brother, Sam Freeman and his wife Ida; her sister, Rose Verkauf; nieces, Elinor Turkel and Susan Freeman; and her nephews, Barry Verkauf and John Freeman. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Dr. Lynn Sayne officiating.

MOORE, Thelma H., 99, of Tampa, died October 3, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, and all eight of her sisters and brothers. Survived by sons and their wives, William W. and Joan of Ocala, and Robert I. and Suzan of Odessa; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was born and/raised in Bennettsville, S.C. and Hamlet, N.C. and moved to Syracuse, N.Y. in 1935, and retired to Tampa in 1958. A graveside service will be at the Garden of Memories at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2001.

He is survived by his wife; Rachel, four sons: Jose Oommen, Jacob Oommen, Phynny Oommen and Roy Beaulah; six daughters, Marykutty Samuel, Gracy Varghese, Valsa Paul, Mercy John, Blossom George and Glory Matthew; two sisters, Susan and Mary and 21 grandchildren. Born in Mangalam, Kerala (India) he moved to this area in 1977 from N.Y . He was a Pentecostal Minister. Visitation will be October 4, 2001 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and October 5, 2001 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with services on October 6, 2001 at Limona United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m.

POWERS, Ruth S., 80, died October 2, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Howard `Ty`. She is survived by sons, David and Stephen; special `daughter`, Linda Linerman; a brother, Charles Simpkins; sisters, Louise Gannon and Elizabeth Hemeon; six grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. She was a Navy veteran who served during World War II. She was an avid bowler and homemaker. National Cremation Society/Tampa.

RAINES, Ervin N., 73, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at Bay Pines Medical Center. Born February 17, 1928. Mr. Raines was self-employed, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

RICHARDSON, Beatrice E., 95, passed away on Wednes- day, October 3, 2001 in Zephyrhills, Fla. Beatrice, a long-time resident of Central Florida and of Pasco county, is survived by one daughter, Alice L. Neish; two sons, Richard E. Richardson and Bruce W. Richardson; and several grand- children and great-grandchild- ren. At the request of the deceased, no services will be held. Donations to Hospice in Ms. Richardson's name are requested in lieu of flowers.

SMID, Louis J. of Safety Harbor, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at his residence. Survivors include, wife, Marilyn Smid of Safety Harbor; three sons, Graig Jefferis of St. Petersburg, Steven Jefferis of Clearwater and Scott Jefferis of Safety Harbor; one nephew, the Rev. Thomas Holman of Winter Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Smid was born November 1 1, 1913, in New Britian, Conn. Mr. Smid moved to the Florida area in 1975 from Thomaston, Conn. Mr. Smid was a freight manager for the E.J. Kelly Trucking Co. He was a Catholic and a Navy Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Elliott and husband, Bill and Lena Caputo; granddaughters, Shannon Carl and Jennifer Machristie.
