HERBERT, James F., 73, of Sun City Center, died October 23, 2001 at South Bay Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; son and daughter- in-law, James and Kathleen of Naperville, Ill.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Donald Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Barbara and Richard Snyderman of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Novotny of Palmyra, Wis. and five grandchildren. Born in Chicago, Ill., Mr Herbert moved to this area in 1994 from Ft. Meyers, Fla. Mr. Herbert was a member of the Sun City Center Security Patrol a retired property manager in real estate and a Presbyterian. A memorial service will be held on Friday October 26, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Lewers Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until funeral hour. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, PO Box 23852 Tampa, FL. 33623-3852 in lieu of flowers.

JESSICK, Edward Victor, 83, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2001 in Tampa. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Lynn Jessick and Patricia Kay Hoeber, both of Tampa, Florida; three sisters, Eleanor Jessick, Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Stella Magadanz, Garden City, Michigan and Dr. Irene Jessick, Dearborn Heights, Michigan; two brothers, Chester Jessick, Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania and Charles Jessick, Jr., Catawissa, Pennsylvania . His wife of 54 years, Sibyl Ellen Decker Jessick; his parents, Charles Jessick, Sr. and Stella Theresa Kovaleski Jessick; his sister Alice E. LaTulip and his brother, Joseph G. Jessick, preceded him in death. Mr. Jessick was born September 1, 1918 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania and was a long-time resident of the Detroit, Michigan area. He served as a Co rporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1941-42, 181st Platoon, Camp Matthews, California and was Honorably Discharged. He was a retired self-employed barber, salesman and licensed real estate agent. He lived in Lexington, Kentucky from 1968-1972. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Decker Family Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky. At this time, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.

LYNCH, Michael, 42, of Tampa passed away October 22, 2001. He is Survived by his brother Daniel Lynch and his wife Deborah; nephew, Travis Lynch, niece; Amy Lynch. He moved to the Tampa area in 1983 from Poplar Bluff, Missouri and was a Registered Nurse at Tampa General Hospital and worked for H&R Block for the last two years. Memorial Services will be held Friday October 26, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

McELWEE, Arthur, 90, of Brandon passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Edith; two sons, Jack P. of Seffner, Fla. and Arthur H. Jr. of Granger, Ind.; six grand- children; five great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Charleston, Ill., he has resided in the Tampa area since 1975 coming from Frankfort, Ind. He was an automoti ve division salesman for 33 years with Montgomery Wards, a life member of the Moose Lodge and a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. both of Frankfort, Ind. and he was also a life member of the Scottish Rite, Indianapolis, Ind. A Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

MURPHY, F. W. (Woody) 82, of Tampa passed away Monday, October 22, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ima. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Mendenhall of Greensboro, N.C. and son, Tom of Bethlehem, Pa.; brother, Jim of Wildwood, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the retired Pastor of Central Bible Chapel in Tampa. Services will be held Saturday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Greensboro, N.C. Memorial services will be held in Tampa at a later date.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Samuel Pavy of Tampa; two daughters, Sandra Howsare and Karen Rooks, both of Tampa; two sisters, Bernice Korum of Jacksonville, Fla. and Daisy Parr of Kingsland, Ga.; one grandson and two granddaughters. A graveside service will be held at Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Saturday, October 27, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Cone officiating. PETERSON, Clifford A. `Bud` 74, of Tampa passed away October 22, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Claris Peterson; daughter, Karen E. Guito of Tampa; brother, Cecil Peterson and wife, Sheila of Flushing, Mich.; sister, Lois Engel and husband, Harold of Painsville, Ohio.; granddaughter Michele E. Nunez of Tampa; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. A native of Bay City, Mich., Mr. Peterson owned and operated a farm in Munger, Mich. and for the last 25 years he spent the winters in Tampa. Memberships included the Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Funeral Services will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Friday at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church, 119 E. Munger Rd., Munger, MI. 48747 in memory of Mr Peterson.

SALIVA, James J. `Jim`, 52, of Green Bay, Wis., formerly of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2001. He is survived by his significant other, Lynn Johansen, Green Bay, Wis.; son, James J. Saliva, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Nichole Reeder, Simi Valley, Calif. and Allison Morrow, Lutz; brother, Paul Perez, Tampa; three sisters, Cynthia Sakai, Tampa, Yvonne Dye, Santa Rosa, Fla. and Sandra Dominguez, Tampa. A Memorial Mass will be conducted 9:00 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tampa. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc.

She is survived by three of her four children, Richard Schmitz of Lutz, Sandra Carey of Lutz and Linda Hardcastle of Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by her son, Fred Schmitz. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Allison and Thomas Schmitz, Alexandra and Christian Carey, and Kenn y and Erica Hardcastle. She was born in Everett, Mass. ans was a Lieutenant in the Navy. She retired from University Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Saint Catherine's Episcopal Church. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Saint Catherine's in Temple Terrace at 4:00 p.m.

SINKS, Lorena Rivers, 91, of St. Petersburg and formerly of Dunedin, died Sunday, October 21, 2001 at the Masonic Home of Florida. She is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Nolan of Palm Harbor and Gwendolyn Sykes of Thonotosassa; granddaughter, Sheri Gruden and great-granddaughter, Kristen Gruden, both of Palm Harbor and many nieces and nephews. A native Floridian, she was born in Ft. Meade, on e of nine siblings. She and her husband moved to Dunedin in the early 1940's and were very active in the community. She belonged to several organizations including the Eastern Star, the Civil Air Patrol, the Power Squadron, and the Harbor View Villas Association. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dunedin. She and her husband built and owned Minnow Creek Marine Ways in Ozona.

TYSON, Leo E., Jr., 80 of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Tampa, passed away October 23, 2001 at his home. Mr. Tyson is survived by his wife, Lillian Tyson of Spring Hill; two sons, Ronald Tyson of Brandon, Fla. and Jonathan Tyson of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Carolyn Peeler of Spring Hill; two sisters, Laverne Brown of Birmingham, Ala., and Mary McCay of Riverview, Fla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Macon, Ga., he moved to Spring Hill from Tampa in 1998. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Methodist by faith. Mr. Tyson was a retired printer and worked for The Tampa Tribune for 30 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Olga Montero Rocha; two step-sons, Rene and Anthony Verona; four grandchildren, Richard (Karen) Rocha, James (Anita) Rocha, Rebecca (Robert) Kratz, and David Rocha; nine great-grandchildren, Alexis (Matt) Lucas, Michael, Alana, Kristin, and Nicholas Rocha, Clayton and Jenrose Kratz, Jason Rocha, and Caroline Kratz. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Born January 24, 1920 in Deridder, La., she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Loretta Coleman. Mrs. Brown was a retired nurse and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wesley Chapel. Visitation will be held Friday October 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, SR 54, New Port Richey. Funeral services will take place Saturday October 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home.
