TIMMERMAN, J. B., 81, of Tampa, died October 28, 2001 in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jean Timmerman. Survivors include his daughter, Darcey D. Carson and husband, Jace; granddaughters, Darcel Wall and Rachelle Simonof and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Laban Wall and Mandelon Simonof. Mr. Timmerman was born in Tampa on July 26, 1920. He graduated from Plant Hig h School and attended G.M.C. on a football scholarship. He graduated from University of Tampa in 1948 where he was also a dance instructor. He became a professional dancer and won numerous awards and contests during the Big Band era. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Store Keeper First Class V-6 during World War II in the South West Pacific Theater. He participated in 14 invasions. He became a sales agent with Thornton Sales Service and was with the corporation for 42 years. He retired as chairman of the board in 1990. He was known throughout the company as `Mr. Humor`. He was an envoy of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter Lambda Master. Mr. Timmerman was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Wellswood where he lived for 51 years. She was a bookkeeper with Brandon Printing for 18 years, a member of the Brandon Women's Club, a member of the Brandon League of Fine Arts, a member of the Hospit al Auxiliary Unit for Brandon Hospital and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brandon, where she was in the Senior Choir. She was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and moved to Land O' Lakes in 1973. She retired from the Pasco County School System. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Land O' Lakes.
