Ollie A. Glazier, 73, of North Fort Myers received her wings on June 3, 2003 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral.
She was born to Charles E. Williams and Susie Ozmore on May 3, 1930 in Petersburg, VA. Her parents and loving step-mother, Belle Williams all preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband, William H. Glazier of N. Ft. Myers (1991); and her first husband, Robert W. Tackitt of VA (1958); and her two children, Wanda F. Tackitt (1999) and Donald W. Tackitt.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four grandchildren, Melissa L. (Buenrostro) Carlisle and her husband Michael W. Carlisle, Sr. of N. Ft. Myers; Ryan, Shayna and Robert William (Tack) of Texas ; great-granddaughter, Tiffany L. Gibson of N. Ft. Myers; sister, Thelma Kalanquin (Ben) of North Carolina; brother, Charles Williams (Linda) of Virginia; a wonderful extended family and many, many friends that she touched along her way.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 2:00 in the chapel of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Rea Means officiating. Entombment will be in Coral Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until noon at the funeral home.
Our sincere thanks to all those who supported the family during this difficult time.

Lloyd Canfield Hytree, 84, of Fort Myers, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was a decorated US Army veteran in WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He left behind his loving wife, Millicent, two daughters Nancy Titlow of Cleveland, OH and Diane Hovarka of berea, OH, two grandchildren Natalie Titlow and William Duchanse, and three great-grandchildren Alanis, Savannah, and Aimee Duchanse.
Private memorial service will be conducted at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Milton 'Red' Kratzer, 81 of Fort Myers, passed away June 3, 2003 at his home. He moved to Fort Myers permanently in 1991 from Illinois. He was an honorably discharged veteran of WWII, serving in the Merchant Marines and a member of New Life Sanctuaries Church. Red was also an avid boater.
He is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Naomi; his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Conrad Pulliam of Martinsville, Indiana ; Pam and Gary Pope of Indianapolis, Indiana ; step-son Greg Hughes and his companion, Teresa of Murphysboro, Illinois. Also surviving is his brother, Gerald of Belize, Central America; sisters, Bonnie Milioni, of Petaluma, California, Donna Sichelneier of Santa Rosa, California, Sharon Royer of Atoka, Tennessee, and 6 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Kiser Funeral Home 9231 Cypress Lake Drive on Thursday, June 5, 2003 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003 at 2 o'clock pm at Kiser Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Krewson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Red's memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33908 or to New Life Sanctuaries 5830 Wild Fig Lane, Fort Myers, Florida 33919.

William 'Bill' Stephenson went to join God in Heaven on May 30, 2003 at the age of 95 1/2 years young. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2003 at the Metz Funeral Chapel in Cape Coral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, cape Coral, FL 33909.

James F. VanHook, 75, of Ft. Myers, died June 2, 2003. James is a Veteran of the Korean War, also Retired Local 7 Brick Layers and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Akron, OH.
Survivors include his loving wife Bonnie, two sons Greg and Linda of Ft. Myers, Jeff and Ilene of Ft. Smith, AR. His sisters Jo Ann Saffeels of Springfield, MO and Constance Riddle of Baton Rouge, LA.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Lamb of God Church, off Koreshan Blvd., Ft. Myers, TODAY, Thursday, June 5, 2003 at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of Ft. Myers.

Adele Viola Hay Young, 79, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on Thursday May 29, 2003. She was born on August 4, 1923 in San Francisco, California, daughter of Gordon Hay and Viola Bader Hay. Adele graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Psychology. She met her husband, Christopher Young of 48 years in Columbo, Sri Lanka. They married in San Francisco, CA and settled in New York later moving to Puerto Rico due to business and to raise three boys. In 1981, they returned to San Francisco to retire enjoy west coast life. In 1997 they moved to Cape Coral to be close to their grandson, Charlie. Adele was preceded in death by her husband Christopher by only 7 weeks. Adele is survived by her sister Carol, three sons, Christopher, Michael, Charles, and a step daughter Jane; four grandchildren, Charlie, Christopher Tyler, Sally and Kate. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 7, 2003 at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue in Cape Coral. On Sunday June 7th a ceremony will be held for both Adele and Christopher Young and their ashes will be scattered at sea to rest in peace for eternity. Arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey Engelhardt Metz Funeral Homes and Crematory, Cape Coral.

Allan Eastman Bristol, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 14, 2003. He was born in Springfield, MA., on Sept. 13, 1923, to Allen Eliphalet and Muriel (Eastman) Bristol. He was the third child of five. His brother Charles, and sisters Joyce and Grace predeceased him.
'Al', as he was known, was very much a people person, and much of the work he did over the years reflected the fact that he loved to interact with others. In Westfield, MA., Al and his wife founded a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He deliverd bakery goods, and potato chips, and was in shoe sales. Al was also a shoe store manager in Nyack, NY for Endicott Johnson. In Ft. Myers, FL he delivered milk for Hart's Dairy, worked for Sims Drug Store, and was the first bus driver hired when the Lee Tran bus system began. When he was no longer able to work, he still showed his kindness and patience to his wife and daughter who were unable to drive, by being 'Dad's Taxi'. Wherever they needed to go. he would take them and wait, even if it meant to college for the whole day. He would sit and talk with folks around and enjoy getting to know them and joking with them. His jovial and fun loving presence will be missed. 'To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.' II Corinthians 5:8.
He leaves his devoted wife of 46 years, Grace (Lang) Bristol. He is survived by his children; Allan David (Lynn) Bristol and Kerry Grace Bristol; grandchildren; Taylor Nicole Bristol, and Daniel Allan Bristol; step-grandchildren; Shawn Tyler Chase, and Eric Trevor Chase; unoffical grandchildren; Nathan George, and Jonathan George; sister; Geraldine Muriel (George) Chilton; sister-in-laws; Ruth Fordham Lang, Ruth H. Lang, and Fran Curran; brother-in-law; Earl Dandy; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Christ Community Church, 4050 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL., Sunday, August 3, at 12:15 PM following morning worship service which begins at 10:45 AM.

Madris L. Dickey passed away unexpectantly on July 29, 2003 at Cape Coral Hospital. He was 71. He was born in Florence, Al. Madris was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, His son Robert & 2 Daughters, Michelle & husband Lee, & Krista & husband J.R. Two Grandsons, Tyler & Kyle. Also 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Memorial Services will be held in Florence, Alabama. Contributions can be made in his name to the National Cancer Society.
He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family.

Funeral services for Agatha Bell McGriff will be 11:00 AM, Saturday from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 7420 Concourse Drive, Ft. Myers. Visitation will be 6-8 PM TODAY from Hickson Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hickson Funeral Home, Inc., 2530 Highland Ave., Ft. Myers, FL.

Funeral services for Willa Mae McKay will be 12:00 PM Saturday from St. Mary Baptist Church, 2182 Mitchell Court, Ft. Myers. Visitation will be 6-8 PM TODAY from Hickson Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hickson Funeral Home Inc., 2530 Highland Ave., Ft. Myers.

Merle Frederick Pelkey, 85, died July 30 as a result of complications relating to Alzheimers disease. He was born in Waterville, Maine and moved to Ft. Myers in 1984 from East Hartford, Connecticut.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Pauline 'Lover' Pelkey; 3 daughters Nancy Begansky and husband Theophil of Amston, CT., Mary Ellen Zingaro and husband Robert of El Paso, TX. and Karen Pelkey of East Hartford, CT. as well as 4 sons Richard Pelkey and wife Rochelle of N. Palm Beach, FL. , John Pelkey and wife Lynda of S. Windsor, CT., Gary Pelkey and wife Nancy of Windsor Locks, CT. and Michael Pelkey, of Vernon, CT. and also 16 grandchildren who loved to visit during his retirement years in Florida.
Merle was a veteran of World War II and retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in E. Hartford, CT. in 1983. During his retirement years he was an active member in the Shady Acres community and could often be found in the kitchen serving holiday meals to his neighbors.
A mass celebrating Merle's life will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday August 2 at Church of the Resurrection of our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive. The family welcomes friends to join in this celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimers Association, 22107 Elmira Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.

Vivian E. Watkins, 80, of N. Ft. Myers, passed away September 28, 2003. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Evelyn B. Mitchell, 90, of Estero passed away September 29, 2003. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Helen Davidson MacMillan, 83, a resident of Alva since 1985 went to be with the Lord Sunday Sept. 28, 2003 while under the compassionate care of Hope Hospice and her loving husband. Helen was born March 7, 1920 in Norton, Virginia to the late James Logan and Byrmise (Easterling) Davidson. She was a member of Winkler Road Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, Florida.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her beloved husband Harold MacMillan, two daughters, Teresa (Joe) Kohen of Tampa, Florida, and Belinda (Tom) Hatter of Louisville, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Amanda Hatter also of Louisville, Kentucky, two sisters, Irene (Paul) Phillips of Alva, Florida, and Charlotte (Doug) Hylton of Richmond, Virginia and formerly of Norton, Virginia, two sister-in-laws, Jean Davidson and Earlene Davidson of Norton, Virginia, as well as fifteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday Oct. 2, 2003 from 6-8:00 PM at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service in celebration of Helen's life will be on Friday Oct. 3, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Alva Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's loving memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, Florida 33908. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 State Road 82, Ft. Myers, FL 33913.
