O'CONNELL, James R., 74, of Glenmont, N.Y. passed away on November 25, 2001. He was for many years the husband of the late Janice O'Connell; he is the father of Cindy Wilkerson and her husband Edward of Tampa, Fla. and James O'Connell of Glenmont. Mr. O'Connell is the grandfather of Erin and Kevin O'Connell and Katie Wilkerson. He is the longtime companion of Francesca Symonds of Saratoga. Mr. O'Connell was an avid motorcyclist and Scuba instructor, He was in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a truck driver for 15 years for the Associated Transport in Albany, until his retirement. Graveside services will be held Thursday 2:30 p.m. at the Saratoga National Cemetery Schuyleville. Russell Quilhot of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Born in Detroit, she has lived in this area since 1985. Funeral services will he held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lewers Funeral Home with burial in Durango, Colo.

Fune ral services will be held Wednesday, (Today) 1:00 p.m. at La Luz del Mundo Church, (located south of Columbus Dr. on MacDill Ave.). Pastor Jerson Rivera will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Beck; sisters, Penny Varnum, April Masson, Lori Beck, Elizabeth McKone and Michelle Roberts. David was a native of Chicago, Ill. and had resided here for 20 years coming from Springfield, Ill. He was a district manager for PRP Wines. Susan was a native of Washington , D.C., had resided here since 1961 and was a beloved wife and homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Assoc. or any Mental Health Center.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Trench of Winter Park; daughter-in-law, Sandra Seeger of Winter Springs, Fla.; brother, Joseph Koury of Whitehouse Station, N.J.; sister, Olivia Leesha of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Brian and Eric Trench and Jennifer and Jessica Seeger. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she moved to this area in 1988. Mrs. Seeger was a homemaker and an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be conducted on Friday November 30, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Wake service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Glen Hav en Memorial Park in Winter Park, Fla. at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. A native of Carlisle, Pa. she had resided here since 1982 coming from Palm Bay, Fla. She was a legal secretary for the Hillsborough County Attorney's Office and a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Resurrection Catholic Church, Riverview. The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road. Survivors include his wife, Olga (Mildred) Demko of New Port Richey; a son, Denis A. Demko and his wife, Mary Jane of Hudson, Fla.; a sister, Wanda Broznowski of Oswego, Ill.; and a brother, Bruno Demko of Glenview, Ill. Born in Chicago, Ill. and moved here in 1971 fro m Chicago. He owned and operated Milts Tile Center, Inc. in New Port Richey for 26 yrs. A member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, New Port Richey and a World War II Army Veteran. He w as retired from Reynolds Metals and was a member of the Elks Club, Land O' Lakes. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at 20045 County Line Road, Lutz, Fla. SIEGRIST, Lois I., 66, of Dade City, died Wednesday morning, November 28, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Sue Andrews of Bushnell; three sons, Carl Eugene Siegrist of Fred, Texas , Gregory Allen Siegrist and Darrell Bradley Siegrist, both of Dade City; her mother, Violet J. Toops of Kahoka, Mo.; one brother, George Toops of St. Francis- ville, Mo.; two sisters, Deloris Laffoon of Ruskin and Jean Estes of Tremont, Ill.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell who passed away in May of this year; her father, Thomas Toops and a sister, Penny Yost. A native of St. Francisville, Mo., she moved to Dade City 42 years ago from Fort Madison, Iowa. She was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home with Rev. David L. Herring officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

BABICZ, Gina C., age 26, of Tampa, Florida, died suddenly on November 25, 2001 in Osceola County, Florida, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on July 29, 1975 in Steubenville, Ohio to Eugene and Mary (Mozzone) Babicz. Ms. Babicz was predeceased by her father, Eugene Babicz in 1995 and her step-father, Werner H. Mertz in April of 2001. Survivors include her loving mother, Mary (Mozzone) Mertz of Boynton Beach, Fla.; her sister, Rachel Mertz, also of Boynton Beach, Fla. and her companion, Forrest Roddenbaugh of Tampa. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of many, many friends. Ms. Babicz was a 1993 graduate of Christiansburg High School in Christiansburg, Va. and was a 1996 graduate of the University of Florida, receiving her Bachelor an d Master degrees. She was a Senior, Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche Accounting Firm in Tampa, Florida since 1998. Since living in Tampa, she was very active in the Junior Women's League of Tampa, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Deloitte & Touche intramural softball team, which she was an initiator and she was a Board Director of the Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society in Tampa. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, sister and friend who truly enjoyed life. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and those that knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held in her memory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2001 at the BOYNTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 West Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, Fla. A visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the University of Florida Foundation, Gina Babicz Scholarship in Accounting, P. O. Box 14425, Gainesville, FL 32604. A Memorial Service will also be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2001 at Christ The King Catholic Church, 821 South Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Fla. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Tampa Garden Center, 2629 Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, Fla.

CHANEY, George E., 91, of Tampa, passed away November 24, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Harris; son, Larry Chaney; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Greg Harris. Mr. Chaney was of the Methodist Faith. He was a US Army Staff Sergeant serving of World War II, owner of Chaney's TV Sales and Service, a member of the Writers Guild, and an avid bowler. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She is also survived by her sister, Lotta Bell Hornbaker of Muncie, Ind., her brother, Joseph Gutshall of Dunkirk, Ind., 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A native of Dunkirk, Ind., Virginia moved to Tampa 3 years ago from Zephyrhills. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Chapel, 5101 N. Nebraska Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
