LEDDON, Marie Mary, 88, of Louisburg, N.C. passed away November 26, 2001. Survivors include her two sons, Milford Clifton Madden of Bailey, N.C. and Stanley Leddon of Inverness, Fla.; brother, Mark Drawdy of Avon Park, Fla.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A native of Polk County, Fla. Mrs. Leddon lived in Tampa from 1958 until 1970. In later years she resided with family in Ft. Meade, Fla. and N.C. LIEBERHER, Philip M., Sr., age 71, of Tampa, passed away November 27, 2001. Beloved husband of Vicki A.; beloved father of children, Linda Dintenfass and husband, David R., Lorraine Barkett and husband, Anthony J., Lisa Lieberher, Louise Cofield and husband, Stacy C., and Philip M. Lieberher, Jr.; grandchildren, Alex L. DeCubas, Alexis R. and Christian P. Barkett and Rachel E. Smith. Mr. Lieber her was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, `Semper Fi`. Donations may be made to the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital or to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Lieberher. Love is Eternal.

John May is survived by daughter, Sharon Van Trump; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Nebraska, John moved to Tampa in 1969. Mr May was a Past Master of Friendship Lodge #239 AF&AM and Past Worthy Patron of Laura May Chapter #251 OES in Chapman, Nebraska, Honorary member of Port Tampa Lodge #153 F&AM, a member and KCCH in the Scottish Rite Bodies of Tampa and a member of Westshore Christian Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Westshore Christian Church, 4100 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Scottish Rite Foundation.

RENTA, Estella, 82 of Tampa passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2001. Mrs. Renta is survived by two sons, Filex Renta, Jr. of Calif. and Thomas Mitchell Renta of Tampa; two daughters, Matilda Bermudez of Calif. and Martha Moreno of Tampa; one brother, Nelson Pena of Tampa; one sister, Hilda Rodriguez, of Tampa; eight grandchildren, Michelle Carrillo, Etienne Bermudez, Gary Renta, Donna Rent a, John-John Ferrer, Jacqueline Patt, Casey Capez, Richard Capaz and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor, Bailey, Macie, and Mia. Mrs. Renta was of the Catholic Faith. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

ROMEU, Maria Carmen, 92, of Tampa, passed away November 28, 2001. She is survived by her husband Ernesto Romeu; son Ernesto Romeu, Jr. and his wife Marietta; daughter Carmen Torrado and her husband Alvaro; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Romeu was of the Catholic Faith. Funeral services will be held at a later date.

SMALLWOOD, Edna Dahlia, 87, of Land O' Lakes, passed away November 26, 2001. She is survived by her nephews, Clovis, Roland, and Jurl Mansell and her nieces, Wannave Taylor and Marnice Burns. Ms. Smallwood bred and raised Cocker Spaniels. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2001 at Noon in the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave., with interment to follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to service.

THATCHER, James `Garry`, 53, of Zephyrhills passed away on Sunday at Brandon Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. James is survived by his wife, Linda; his mother, Helen E. Thatcher of Sarasota; two brothers, Jon of Chesterfield, N.H. and William of Easton, Pa.; one grandchild, Samantha VanderWiede of Tarpon Springs; two step-daughters, Monica McMullan of Sutton, Mass. and Rachel Vand erwiede of Tarpon Springs; one niece and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert. Garry was a native of Glen Ridge, N.J. and came to the Zephyrhills area in 1996 from Brooksville where he had spent some 10 years. He was an electrical technician for Hardee Roofing in Tampa at the time of passing. He was Protestant by faith and an avid hockey player winning numerous awards. Funera l services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Zephyrhills Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Garry's memory to the American Kidney Foundation.

A Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the MacDill Air Force Base Chapel with Interment to follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. BUERGER, Pearl A., 91, of Dade City, died Monday morning, Dec. 3, 2001. She is survived by two sisters, Louise Amdal and Bertha Fox, both of Dade City; one step-daughter, Georgia Harvestine of Warrenville, Ill.; several step-grandchildren; and one nephew, Ronald and Barbara Weissenborn of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; five brothers and three sisters. A native of Plainfield, Ill., she moved to Dade City in 1995 from Warrenville, Ill. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and a member of the Homemakers Extension. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Prayer Group of St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Rev. Lewis Tanno officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made to the Building Fund of St. Mary's Church or to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice.

Survivors include four daughters, Adel Buckley of Las Vegas, Nev., Jeanie Manter of Byfield, Mass., Patricia Carr of Hathorne, Mass. and Beth Lane of Chelsea, Maine; two sons, Edwin Carr, Jr. of Groton, Conn. and Dean Wade of Sidney, Maine; three sisters, Barbara Elia of Antrim, N.H., Alice Davis of Zephyrhills and Irene Davis of Zephyrhills; and her grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher and Catherine Wade, Matthew and Stacey Manter, John and Jason Buckley and Jeffrey Lamson, Jessica Carr, Thomas and Jennifer Lane, Stephanie, Samantha and Sarah Carr; as well as several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Carr and her siblings, Lester Scadding, Richard Scadd ing, Robert Scadding and Edythe Buchanan. A native of Massachusetts, she moved to this area in 1984. A Veteran of the US Air Force, she was an LPN at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home, a member of the American Legion, Eagles and Moose Lodge. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2001. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Shirley Dibble; two brothers, Roger and Rodney and wife, Tammy; one sister, Robin Pietkewicz and husband, Will; five nieces and nephews, Lori, Lance and Natasha Dibble, Shannon Savarese, and Jordan Pietkewicz, all of Zephyrhills; and several aunts and uncles. He was born in Utica, New York and moved to the area one year ago from Concord, N.H. He was a computer programmer. A memorial service will be held at Kelly Memorial Chapel today at 4:00 p.m. Kelly Memorial Funeral Home.
