A Funeral Mass was offered for the repose of his soul at the MacDill Air Force Base Chapel with Interment in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

Vibbert; niece , Marci Waldick and niece, Mary Mazzocco. She is preceded in death by husband, Walter Brostman; sisters, Margaret Stringer, Elsie Albany, Louise Morgan and Lorraine Polen. WILSON, Mr. Edward F., 82, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2001. Mass of the Resurrection for the repose of the soul of Mr. Wilson will be held Friday, December 7, at 12 Noon, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1203 N. Nebraska Ave., Father Edward Lamp, pastor officiating. Edward was born in New York City. A Ford Motor Supervisory employee, he lived in Detroit, Michigan for eighteen years before moving to Tampa in 1988. Edward was a member of the Suncoast Chapter of Submarine Veterans of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Pearlyne Louise; a daughter, Katherine and husband, Aaron Carey; two sons, Mark and Gregory and their wives Karen Livingston-Wilson and Brenda Wilson, respectively; grandchildren, Jessica, Gregory, Jr.; sister, Alice Bennett and her daughter, Patricia Swai lley; many many nieces and nephews; seven sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 6. Fraternal services and Catholic wake services will begin at 6 p.m.

YOUNG, Pearl Maxine Goff, 72, of Thonotosassa passed away Monday, December 3, 2001. Preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Irby and her brothers and sisters, Jewell Griner, James, Paul and Fred Smithwick. She is survived by her sons, Larry and Randy Goff of Thonotosassa, Fla.; daughters, Kathie Henderson of Seffner, Fla. and Nondis Little of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Jack and Lamar Smithwick; sisters, Bobbie Horne and Mary Dell; and ten grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A native of Moultrie, Ga., she has resided in the Tampa area since 1961. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday at the West Thonotosassa Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. at the Stowers Brandon Chapel.

BARTHLE, Lucille Jarvis, 80, of St. Joseph, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 4, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Martha E. Carpenter of St. Joseph; two sisters, Jeanette Head and Elta Whilden, both of Homosassa, Fla.; three grandsons, Guy, Dean and Jason Osceola, all of Naples, Fla.; and one great-granddaughter. A native of Homosassa, she moved to this area 50 years ago from Miami. She was th e owner of Lucille's Christmas Tree Farm, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was very active with the San Antonio Boys Village. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Kissel as celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home in Dade City.

BUERGER, Pearl A., 91, of Dade City, died Monday morning, Dec. 3, 2001. She is survived by two sisters, Louise Amdal and Bertha Fox, both of Dade City; one step-daughter, Georgia Harvestine of Warrenville, Ill.; several step-grandchildren; and one nephew, Ronald and Barbara Weissenborn of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; five brothers and three sisters. A native of Plainfield, Ill., she moved to Dade City in 1995 from Warrenville, Ill. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and a member of the Homemakers Extension. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Prayer Group of St. Mary's Episcopal Church with Rev. Lewis Tanno officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made to the Building Fund of St. Mary's Church or to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice.

DUNCAN, Ann (nee Ostrander), born June 7, 1904, age 97, passed away Dec. 4, 2001. Predeceased by her husband, Donald Duncan, late Chief of Police of Waukegan, Ill. Anne was a Methodist and founder of Westside Camera Shop, still existing in Waukegan, Ill. She is survived by daughter, Beverly Anne Coulombe; brother, Robert C. Ostrander and sister-in-law, Eleanor Ostrander; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Duncan resided in New Port Richey for the past twelve years.

GERHART, Margaret, 98, died Nov. 25, 2001. She. is survived by a brother and a cousin, Ruth Thiebout of Winter Haven, Fla. A memorial service will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at The Edwinola in Dade City, with Pastor Dean Walter officiating.

She was a Methodist by faith, and supervisor for 17 years at Galleon House Hotel in St. Thomas. Mrs. Berkley is survived by three sons, Trevor Martin of Bronx, N.Y., Witson `Witty` Joseph of Tampa, and Hugh `Jahmari` Joseph of Dunedin; three daught ers, Thelma Godwin and Velma Martin, both of St. Thomas, and Awilda Morton of Bronx, N.Y.; her mother, Agnes Godwin of St. Kitts, West Indies; two brothers, Franklin Weeks of Virginia, and Geraldo Weeks of St. Croix; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. BOGGS, Helen E., 78, of Plant City, formerly of Cygnet, Ohio, died December 3, 2001 at University Community Hospital in Tampa. She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Boggs; son, Steven C. of Plant City; sisters, Geraldine Carnicom and Virginia Coss, both of Ohio; and two granddaughters. Helen was born September 1, 1923 in Cygnet Ohio. She attended First United Methodist Church in Stuart, Fla., former member of Faith United Methodist Church in Cygnet, Ohio and was currently attending First Baptist Church in Plant City. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jerry City Cemetery in Jerry City, Ohio with Reverend Howard M. Mayne, Jr. officiating. COKER, Elizabeth Scott, formerly of Lakeland and Tampa, died in Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 28, 2001, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late James and Annie Scott of Lakeland. She was born in Kinston, N.C., October 1, 1916 and moved to Lakeland in 1921. She was a graduate of Gordon Keller School of Nursing and served in the Army Nurse Corps in World War II. She is recognized for her military service in the Women in military Service Memorial in Arlington, Va. While in the military she met and married her husband of 57 years, Richard G. Coker, CW04 USAF Ret., who passed away on December 29, 1998. She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida and Virginia while raising three children and moving from military base to military base as the wife of an Air Force officer. While li ving in Tampa she was an active member of the First Baptist Church and WMU. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her goodness, kindness, love of life and faith, and for her extraordinary cooking skills. Her recipes and cooking hints (especially her chocolate pie, chocolate cake and potato salad) will pass on to her children and grandchildren and will be enjoyed at family gatherings for generations to come. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Coker and her brother Marshall Craig Scott of Lakeland. She leaves behind three children, Richard G. Coker, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Rodney L. Coker of Plantation and Patricia Coker Vail of San Antonio, Texas ; eight grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Scott Sumner of Lakeland and her sister-in-law, Edna Wheeler Scott of Lake land. CROSBY, Linell Kersey, age 60, of Plant City, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2001. Mrs. Crosby was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her brother, Ronnie Kersey in 1971. Survivors include her husband, Ken Crosby of Plant City; one step-son, Michael K. Crosby of Orlando; one step-daughter, Kenya Crosby of Lakeland; two daughters, Kim Robinson and her husband, Tommy of Plant City and Karen Johnson of Orlando; one sister, Sandra S. Crosby and her husband, James of Dover; two maternal grandchildren, Navannah and Marissa Robinson; four step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Dustin, Summer, and Taylor Crosby; and one step-great-grandchild, Keishan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2001 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. Services will be on Friday, December 7, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Joe Bowles officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

DEMPSEY, Nathan Cornett, January 22, 1917, to December 4, 2001, lifelong Brandon resident, passed away in her home with her family, under the care of Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank `Wayne` Dempsey; son, Jim Dempsey; daughter, Carol Hurley and husband, Howard Hurley; four grandchildren; granddaughter, Michelle Richie and husband, Danny Richie; grandson, Scott Dempsey and wife, Shaila Dempsey; grandson, Kevin Rees; and grandson, Brian Dempsey and wife, Lori Dempsey; four sisters, Claudeen Huett, Carolyn Summerall, Catherine Poteat and Betty Ehrhart; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dempsey was born in Chipley, Georgia and moved to Brandon in 1926. Mrs. Dempsey retired from the Hillsborough County School Board. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a che rished grandmother. She loved her family and the Lord. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Brandon. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel and interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 2:00 til 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A native of Highlands, North Carolina, and a previous resident of Tampa, he had lived in Monticello since 1999. He was a self employed truck driver; a Mason with the Blue Ridge Lodge #435, Highlands, N.C.; and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
