GUSTAFSON, Jesse, 19, died suddenly December 3, 2001. Formerly of Thayer, Missouri, he is survived by his mother, Linda Marcotte and her fiancee, Robert Kowalchuk; grandparents, Vern and Alice Tally of Thayer, Mo. He was loving brother to John of Thayer, Mo. and Jacob and Heather of Tampa. A memorial service will be held on Gandy Beach in Pinellas County on Friday, December 7, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. MARK III FUNERAL HOME, 831-9444.

HUNT, Sr., Harold D., 77, of Lakeland, died Dec. 1, 2001. He was born Feb. 2, 1924 in New Castle, Ind. and survived by two sons; two daughters; brother; sister; and five grandchildren.

JENSEN, Randel P., 49, of Lakeland, died Dec. 1, 2001. He is survived by a daughter, Laura Jensen of Lakeland; and two brothers, Erik Jensen of Lakeland and Jere Jensen of Alabama.

KWITKOWSKI, Ruth Eva, 78, of Valrico passed away Dec. 4, 2001. She is survived by her son, John H.; brother, Harry Jensen; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

LaCAGNINA, George L., 81, of Riverview passed away Dec. 4, 2001. He is survived by his son, John LaCagnina of Plant City; daughter, Anita LaCagnina of Tampa; brother, Arthur LaCagnina of Queens, N.Y.; two grandchildren, George LaCagnina and Georgana Jones; and one great-grandson, Nicholas LaCagnina. Mr. LaCagnina served with U.S. Army during World War II. A graveside service with Full military Honors will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

LETO, Lucille C., 86, of Tampa, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter D. Leto. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret DiChiara and her husband Jerry, Martha Cerra and her husband Ralph, and Nellie Westberry; grandchildren, Jolene Novo (Joe), Jerry DiChiara III, Allen Westberry (Kelly), Peter DiChiara (Cherie), Dawn Redmond (David), Meli ssa Poirier (Gregg), Allison Cerra-Lagar (Frank); and four great-grandchildren; niece, Pauline Horgan; and sisters-in-law, Annie Scolaro and Lena Leto. Funeral services were held Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Eye Institute or a charity of your choice.

LYONS, Jack Edward, 52, Tampa, died Dec. 4, 2001. He was born in Tampa, was a a carpenter, and a U.S. Army veteran. Survived by a daughter, Nikita; mother, Gloria Lyons; grandmother, Callie Savage; sisters, Kathy Huffman and Loretta Jackson; and a brother, Dale Lyons, all of Tampa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at the Tampa Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Ross, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. NELSON, James R., beloved husband of Margie Scott Nelson, who preceded him in death, passed away of natural causes on Dec. 3, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Carrig and son-in-law Jack of Lutz; two grandchildren, Beth Lavrinc and husband Jay of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Robert Morgan, U.S. Navy, stationed at Oceania, Va. Mr. Nelson served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during World W ar II; was a retired Civil Service Accountant at Fort George G. Meade in Md.; and a former resident of Glen Burnie Maryland until 1994. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave. and a memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2001 at John Knox Village Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place Monday at Maryland Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in James's memory.

POLZER, Geraldine Betty (Gerri), born Oct. 27, 1921, died Dec. 1, 2001. She was 80. Gerri moved to Margate Florida with her husband in 1966 from her native home Columbus, Ohio. She moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1972. After retiring from the State Attorney's Office in Hillsborough County, she came to Clearwater to be close to her family. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine (Lori) a nd Joseph S. Battaglia; granddaughter and her husband, Tammie and Tony Straughn; grandson, Michael Leake; two sisters, Opal Taylor and Joann O'Learey; many nephews, nieces and friends. Memorial service: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8, 2001, at National Cremation Society, 4945 East Bay Dr., Clearwater.

QUANTOCK, Robert Emory, loving husband and father, died December 3, 2001, at 85. A longtime resident of Tampa, he is survived by his children, Robin Q. Nailor, Marie Quantock and Bill Quantock; grandchildren, Melody, Julia, Joshua and Blake; and sister, Louise Q. Watson. A retired letter carrier and veteran, he loved traveling, especially to historic places, the mountains and the beach. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Savannah, Ga.

SCHLECHTY, Michael V., 42, died Dec. 4, 2001 in Greenville, N.C. Survived by two daughters, Michael Leann and Morgan Schlechty; parents, Everet and Nancy; one brother, Mark; and one sister, Amy.

SEIBERT, Ray, age 76, passed away December 3, 2001. Mr. Seibert was a resident of Tampa for 30 years. Ray is survived by his brother, Harry Seibert and his wife, Miriam of Dayton, Ohio. Services will be held at Florida National Cemetery Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of choice.

SHIPLEY, Anna F. age 58, passed away Dec. 5, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Shipley; her brothers and sisters, Willie Wilson, Catherine Jones, Archie Wilson, Roy Wilson, Shirley Meyer and Lena Ritchie; and her step-children, Tammie Rayburn and Billy Shipley. Anna was a native of Georgetown, Kentucky and moved to Tampa in 1964.

SMITH, George H., 84, of 55 Kondracki Lane, Wallingford, Conn., husband of Emma G. Smith, died December 4, 2001 at Brook Hollow Health Care Center. Born in Liberty, N.Y. on September 15, 1917, he was raised on a family farm in Port Jervis, N.Y. He had resided in Meriden, before retirement, when he moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. He remained there for 14 years, returning to Wallingford five years ago . Mr. Smith was employed by the C.A. Baur Co. in Meriden from which he retired in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, sang in the church choir, and was an avid vegetable gardener. Besides his wife, Emma, he is survived by a daughter, Linda A. Polito of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Paul Cumberlidg e and his wife, Joyce, of Wallingford, and David Cumberlidge of Meriden; and two grandchildren, Peter and Nathan Cumberlidge. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 7, 2001 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Anne Jensen officiating. Entombment will be in St Andrew's Church Columbarium. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. SMITH, Stephen H., 82, of Seffner, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Alberta; daughter, Hazel A. Weeks of Seffner; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A native of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., he has resided in the Tampa area since 1974 coming from Richfield Springs, N.Y. He was a resident of Crystal Springs Nursing Home for 4 1/2 years. He was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Seffner. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel with Reverend Terry Lowe officiating. Interment to follow at Limona Cemetery, The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Seffner Building Fund.

YARUS, Beatrice, 79, of Largo, died Dec. 4, 2001. She is survived by her son, Alan Yarus. She was born in Valdosta, Ga. and moved to Largo from Whitehall, Pa. several years ago.

BLOMMEL, Gregory V., 31, of Ridge Manor, lost his long struggle with cancer on Dec. 5, 2001. Survivors include his children, Jacob and Krista Blommel; his wife, Jessica Blommel; his parents Donna and Louis Blommel, all of Ridge Manor; two brothers, Anthony of Ridge Manor, and Timothy of West Palm Beach; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a communication specialist and a life long area resident and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Joseph. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2001 at 12 Noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church TODAY from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Derrick of New York; a step-son, Ben Brindle of Lakeland; two step-daughters, Heather Bliven and Eva Giron, both of Dade City; his mother, Frances Burnett of New Port Richey; two brothers, Ray of Las Vegas and Robert of New Port Richey; a sister, Helen Delandro of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church in Dade City on Monday, December 10, 2001.

LEAK, Graydon, 77, of Zephyrhills, died Dec. 5, 2001 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. Survivors include his wife, Ada; a daughter, Gloria Scholl and her husband, Earl of Zephyrhills; a grandchild, Albert Knapp of New York; and a brother-in-law, Erwin Farley of Zephyrhills. He was a retired crane operator and was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association.
