McCARDELL, Norma J., 70, of Plant City, passed away on Dec. 7, 2001. Services will be held on Dec. 10, 2001, 11 a.m., Wells Memorial Chapel. Survived by loving family.

MEDERO, Roy G., 70, lifelong resident of Tampa, passed away Dec. 5, 2001. Survivors include his loving wife, Maria; two sons, Tony Murguia of Miami, and John Valdez of Tampa; daughter, Joyce Licata of Tampa; two brothers, Jerry Medero and Manuel Posada both of Tampa; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Medero was a veteran of the US Army. Services will be held Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Blount Curry & Roel Armenia Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be held at a later date.

MOLITORISS, Beth Ann Sauer, died at her residence in Highlands Ranch, Colo. on Sunday, December 2, 2001 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Claremont, N.H. on August 16, 1962, the daughter of Charles and Mary K. Davin Sauer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary K. Davin Sauer. Beth is survived by her husband, Scott, and was the beloved mother of Sam and Julia. Her siblings include, Charles and Jan Sauer of San Carlos, Calif., Ken and JoEllen Sauer of Fairview, Pa., Mark and Mary Dimit Sauer of Palo Alto, Calif., Jim Sauer of Erie, Pa., Barbara and Roberto Goyzueta of Norman, Okla., Mary and Ed Nientimp of Erie, Pa., and Kathy and Tom Bronakoski of Jacksonville, Fla. Daughter-in-law of John and Amelia Molitoriss. Sister-in-law of Kris and Cheryl Myers o f Roanoke, Va., Tim and Cathy Molitoriss of Aurora, Colo., and Dennis and Kristen Oakes of Roanoke, Va. Several nieces, nephews and numerous friends also survive. Beth was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy and attended Gannon College. Prior to the birth of her children she was the Director of Client Relations for Campbell Travel Agency in Dallas, Texas . Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there, Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Jude Church, 2801 West 6th Street, Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery Memorials may be made to the Susan G. MONROE, Hazel L., 92, of Tampa formerly of Savannah, GA, passed away December 7, 2001. Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by her husband, R. Curtis Monroe; She is survived by her nephew, Charles J. Monnen, Jr. of Tampa; and grand niece, Nikki Monnen of Tampa. She was a member of Savannah Primitive Baptist Church and was a volunteer for American Cancer Society, Tampa. A funeral service will be he ld at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 11th at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends hour prior to the service. Further services and burial will be held in Savannah, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed or phoned to the American Cancer Society, Tampa.

O'QUINN, Edgar Frank, age 74, of Dover, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2001. Mr. O'Quinn was in the Navy and a lifelong resident. Survivors included his wife, Vondell Mullis O'Quinn of Dover; three daughters, Annette Weeks of Dover, Gloria Ward of Pierson, and Lois Williams of Seffner; his aunt, Audrey Hancock of Dover. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 10, 2001 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Stoneman and Rev. Tony G. Jeeter to officiate. PAYNE, Randy Lee, age 44 of Chattanooga, died on Dec. 7, 2001 in a local hospital. Mr. Payne was a former resident of Tampa, Florida. Mr. Payne was a US Army Veteran and of the Methodist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Payne. Survivors include his mother, Mildred Payne; three sisters, Janie Knight of Evensville, Tennessee, Brenda Eledge and Joy James of Chattanooga, Tenn.; s ix brothers, Bobby Payne of Powder Springs, Georgia, Terry Payne of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Donnie Payne of Chattanooga, Jimmy Eustice of Turlock, California, Jackie McNeal of Jupiter, Florida and Dennis McNeal of Ashland City, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Don Lasley officiating. Interment will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon on Sunday. Williamson and Sons in charge of arrangements.

REYNOLDS, Wanda Marie, 80, of Ruskin, passed away Friday, December 7, 2001. She is survived by a son, Arthur C. Kimmel Jr.; brother, Chrissie Ladd; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

ROONEY, Dorothy F., age 78, of Winter Haven, and formerly of Swanton, Ohio, died Wednesday December 5, 2001 in her home. A graduate of Notre Dame Academy and a member of the Alumnae Association, Dorothy was an office secretary for the Foreign Mission office in Toledo, Ohio. After moving to Florida, she went on to work as the secretary for St. Matthews Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She then r etired from Winter Haven Eye Clinic in the Health Insurance Department. She was a devout Catholic and the ever loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, John `Jack`; sons, Patrick A., John `Jay`, and Michael `Mickey` Rooney; daughter, Mrs. Mary Christine `Chris` Hazelwood; sisters, Sr. lmmaculee SND, Lucy Heinl-Lukasik, Sr. Louisa SND, Mary M. Einhart, Delores A. Mack, C atherine R. Feck and Carol J. Szurminski; brother, James E. Heinl; and seven grandchildren. Predeceased siblings include, Bernard Heinl, Bernadine Miller and David Heinl. The Service will be at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Monday, December 10 at 9:00 a.m. A second service will be in Toledo Ohio, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Cancer Society.

RUSH, John Richard, 61, of Clearwater, died Thursday, Dec.6, 2001 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he moved to Clearwater in 1975 from Atlanta, Georgia. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a manufacturer's representative for a golf equipment company for 25 years. He was a member of Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, Old Memorial Golf Club in Tampa, and was a ctive in a variety of charitable organizations and charitable golf events throughout the area. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Gael Rush; son, John Dominic Rush of Clearwater; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rush of Clearwater; sister, Joanne Laughlin of Topeka, Kansas; three nieces; and three nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201-9th Street North, St. Petersburg. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 514-4th Street South, St. Petersburg. Committal services will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

SEPPALA, Kari, M., 54, of St Petersburg, died Dec. 6, 2001. Survived by wife, Diane, and two sons Christopher and Sean, all of St. Petersburg; and his mother, Terttu of Lake Worth.

SMITH, Jr. Charlie Paul, 77, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in LaGrange, Ga., he came to Tampa in 1959 from Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a structural glazier for 14 years at Pittsburgh Plate Glass of Tampa. A Methodist, he was a veteran of World War lI with the Army Air Corps, 33rd & 45th Bomber Groups. He flew with Doolittle's Raider s throughout South Africa, The Burma Road and the Tokyo Raid. His decorations included a Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and the Purple Heart. His survivors include sons, David Gene and Charlie Ronald, Sr. of Tampa; daughter, Margie Sikes of Marietta, Ga.; brother, Abner Gene of Melbourne, Fla.; sister, Marjorie Allene Rome of Atlanta, Ga. and grandchildren, C. Ronald, Jr., C. Raymond, Sabrina, Erica, Sarah and Chris. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

STAFFORD, Wayne R., 46, of Madeira Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001. Survived by his daughters, Holly Acosta of Tampa, Kristy Foote of Dade City, Amanda Easter and Danielle Stafford, both of Tampa; parents, June and Robert Stafford; brothers, Scott D. Stafford and Dana A. Stafford; sisters, Jeanne R. Stafford and Lee M. Stafford, all of Melrose, Mass.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Orange Hill Cemetery, Tampa, corner of Chelsea and 50th St.

TAYLOR, Mr. James J. `Joe`, 86, of Sun City Center died Dec.8, 2001 at Sun Terrace. He is survived by his wife; a son; daughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

THOMPSON, Martha `Elaine`, 69, of Tampa, died December 3, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Col. Theodore R. Thompson Jr.; daughters, Laurie Lett, Teri Krasauskus, Patti Kielbon, Aimee Fonda; a son, Michael Thompson; sisters, Gloria Kidd and Shirley Willoughby; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Theodore R. Thompson III. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Foundation. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Mr. Vandenberg was President of Tampa Radio Bible School for many years and served as Pastor of Tampa Bible Church. BURNS, Edward D., 87, of Temple Terrace, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2001. Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey; one son and one daughter. He is survived by four daughters; five sons; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, December 10, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Chapel of Lights Mausoleum where Ed an d Audrey will be entombed into their final resting place, together, forever. JOHNSON, Clayton E., Lt. Col. US Army, Retired, 77 of Tampa passed away December 6, 2001. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; four children, Richard Alan Johnson, Herndon Va., Kenneth Wayne Johnson, Manteo N.C., Calvin Frederick Johnson, Tampa and Kathleen Johnson Hodges, Belton, S.C.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Johnson, Ashaway R.I., and Robert Johnson, Bradenton; and a sister, A ugusta Marie Alexander of Brooksville. Lt. Col. Johnson was a member of St. Clement's Episcopal Church. He had served in the US Navy during WWII, the Air National Guard and retired from the US Army, continuing service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Funeral services will be held at the St. Clement's Episcopal Church, 706 W. 113th Ave. (Ola & 113th) at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2001, with Re v. Alton J. Chapman officiating. military Honors will follow at the church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Clement's Memorial Fund or the St. Andrew's Foundation, in his memory.
