NELSON, Martha J., 71, of Valrico passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; two daughters and their husbands, Marlene and Joe Mendez of Tampa, Fla., Sharon and Steve Sommerkamp of Brandon, Fla.; stepchildren, John Nelson of Virginia, Nancy Eversole of Sarasota, Fla., Laura Scatena of Woodcliff Lake, N.J. and James Nelson of New Jersey; three sisters, Els ie Coleman of Chiefland, Fla., Hazel Cuddevack of Gainesville, Fla. and Ouida Hein of Valrico, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime area resident, a switchboard operator at Tampa General Hospital for 30 years and an active member at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at Southside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Those who wish may make contributions to Southside Baptist Church in her memory.

Mrs. Padron was the beloved wife of Orlando Padron, and wonderful loving mother of three daughters, Janice Barnes and husband, Robert, Susan Alvarez and husband, Roger, and Marie DeAngelo and husband, Gabriel; eight grand- children, and one great-grand- daughter; two sisters, Hilda Comellas and Virginia Dosal and her loving ca re giver and friend, Vielka Alvarez. `We will all miss you, My Darling, including your two dogs, Butch and Sandy and all your birds. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Pinion of Plant City, Florida; his two daughters and their families, Ch eryl Bryant and her husband Claude of Lakeland, Florida, and Patti Austin and her husband Chris of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandsons, Dylan Austin, Sean Austin and Langley Bryant; a brother, Joseph Pinion and his wife Billie of Bradenton, Florida; and three sisters, Ruth Cothran of Lorida, Florida, Gladys Moss of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Stella Byrd and her husband Elmer of Mayfield, Kentucky. He served in the US Navy and was a member of Harvest Time Church. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith Suckow; sons, Gregory Joseph Suckow and Ronnie Lee Smith; daughters, Candaice Marie Vance, Dawn Marie Traver and Heather Marie Avinger; mother, Joyce D. He is survived by his wife, Sabrina; two daughters, Lindsay and Alexandria; three sisters; five brothers; and his father, Allen. He was a Presbyterian and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was also a member of the Carrollwood P.T.A., Carrollwood Civic Association and the Carrollwood Water Conservation Committee. WILLIS, Robert M., age 70, of Tampa died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001. Mr. Willis came to Tampa in 1981 from his native, Worcester, Mass. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Roslyn; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Laura Willis of Gulfport, and Glenn D. and Tammy Willis of Tampa; six cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Kara, Jeremy, Casey Lee and Tyler; and sisters, Dolly Levy and Selma Gurwitz, both of Worcester, Mass. Mr. Willis was the founder of World of Lighting and Matthew Lighting Company. He was a member of Congregation Kol Ami, Kol Ami Brotherhood and the Masonic Order. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 1 p.m. at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa. Rabbi Joel Wasser will officiate. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Congregation Kol Ami or the charity of ones choice.

Besides Bill, her husband of over 53 years, she will be sadly missed by her daughters, Susan, Genevieve, Nancy and Freda and her sons, Bill, Paul, John and David as well as her 20 grandchildren. Funeral Mass was held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001 with Rev. Allison Carrol officiating. STANTON, Albert L., 90 of Zephyrhills, formerly of Binghamton, N.Y., died peacefully Sunday evening, December 9, 2001 at his residence in Florida. He was born to Rachel Shafer Stanton and George Bentley Stanton in Springville, Pa. on September 9, 1911. At his side was his loving wife of 64 years, Phoebe Scott Stanton; a son, Arvid V. Stanton and wife, Aurora Vitanza Stanton of Vestal, N.Y. and Florida; and daughter, Leta Stanton Schoen of Houston, Texas . A loving father and great-grandfather, Albert is also survived by his grandsons, Mark Scott Stanton and wife, Barbara of Pa. and David R. Stanton and wife Susan, of Virginia; as well as great- granddaughters, Kaitlin Taylor Stanton (daughter of David and Susan) and Nykkoya Marie Stanton, `My Little Applesauce Girl` (daughter of Mark and Barbara). Numerous nieces and nephews also mourn Uncle Al's passing. Predeceased by his brother, Kenneth D. Stanton, Albert's only surviving sibling is sister-in-law, Bessie Scott Mann of Montrose, Pa. Born with good genes, Al lived a long and very healthy life until a couple weeks after his ninetieth birthday which he celebrated in Houston, Texas . Albert and Phoebe often traveled unaccompanied to Texas , New York and Florida. From his meager beginnings, Al Stanton, `Albert`, `Dad`, `Daddy`, `Grandpa` built a home and family with a great past and wonderful future. Always rock solid, Al was a loyal employee for 37 years of E.H. Titchner & Co. in Binghamton, N.Y. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Albert may be made to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Inc., 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667. BATTLE, Ruth, 71, passed into God's loving arms on Dec. 13, 2001. She is survived by her husband, John M.; son, Ronald and wife, Geraldine; two daughters, Linda and Lynn; grandchildren, Danielle and Nicholas, and Ansley and Tammy Crook. Ruth was a wonderful wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed; no more pain, no more fighting. CAMPBELL, Louise W., age 89, of Tampa, passed away December 12, 2001. She is survived by sisters, Mertice Westberry and Inez Forkel; brother-in-law, Fred Forkel; nieces, Virginia Freeman, JoAnn Chapman, Linda Kilburn and Nancy Lightner; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was very devoted to her family and church and loved by all. Funeral services will be held at 2.00 p.m. Monday afternoon at East Chelsea Baptist Church with interment to follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. COY, Phyllis M., 72 of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Florida, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2001 at the Franciscan Care Center in Sylvania Township, Ohio. Phyllis had a passion for life and served her community as a Volunteer at the Lighthouse for the Blind in Florida, and literacy volunteer for Project Read. Her main life's work outside of her family was helping people learn to read and achieve literacy in their lives. She is survived by her loving family. Services were held in Sylvania, Ohio. FELLOWS, Robert `Bob` Julian, 74, died Dec. 9, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. A native of Jackson, Michigan, `Bob` was a World War II veteran. He served in the Navy on Guam. He graduated from Univ. of Illinois and began a career in journalism with the Decatur Herald as a reporter. He moved to Tampa in 1956 to work for the Tampa Tribune until 1961. Between 1961 and 1966 he reported for Life, Time, Sports Illustrated and Fortune, covering such historic events as the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Cuban Missile Crisis and The Civil Rights Movement. He also reported on the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King Jr. Longing to be closer to home and family he began working in television with WTVT in 1967 and continued there until his retirement in 1985. He gained local noteriety as a `human in terest` reporter, covering the lighter side of the news. After the death of his beloved wife Karen, he moved to Los Angeles to spend his retirement with his daughter Robin and her family. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Fellows of Ocala, Fla., Melissa George of Haywards Heath, England, and Robin Fellows Nusbaum of El Segundo, Calif. He is also survived by three grandchildren. `He has slipped the surly bonds of Earth to be with loved ones lost, to wait...when in time...we shall be reunited once more as a family.` In lieu of flowers please make contributions to The Alzheimer's Assoc.

FOX, Connie Rene, 37 of Riverview, passed away Dec. 14, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; mother, Marie Lovens and her stepfather, Bobby; brothers, Timothy, Rodney, Pat, Ralph, and Richard; one sister, Angie Doll. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the chapel. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-7:30 p.m.

GROSS, Pincus, PhD., 77, died in Tampa on October 4, 2001. He is survived by friends and family. A retired faculty member of the Dept. of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida, he also had a private practice in in Clinical Psychology as well as a history of service as a Cantor, machinist, and union organizer. Through his excellence in teaching applied humanistic psychology, Dr. Gross changed lives and supported hundreds of graduate students in entering careers in the helping professions. His vast knowledge of how people grow was supported by a deep belief in accepting personal responsibility and expanding awareness combined with a style that was challenging and loving. Considered a legend by many of his students, his life will be celebrated at th e Unitarian Universalist Dome, 11400 Morris Bridge Rd. in Tampa on Dec. 21, 2001 from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends and family are invited. Tax deductible donations in his memory may be sent to Dovi's Playhouse, 1712 Ave. T, Brooklyn, NY 11229.
