HESTER, Raymond Earl, 81 of Tampa passed away Dec.13, 2001. Known as `Johnny` to his friends and family in his hometown of Shelbyville Indiana , he called Tampa home since 1955. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jeanette; son, Steve; daughter, Sally and son-in-law Mario Nunez; son, John and daughter-in-law Linda; and daughter, Suzanne. He was a beloved 'Grandpa' to four; Alex and Nick Nunez; Matthew and Rachel Hester. A World War II veteran, he was a First Lt. in the USAF piloting the B-26 Bomber. Ray also worked as Sales Manager for Lamont Shimberg helping to develop what is today Town N' Country Park. Before retiring to his home in Lutz, he would own and operate White Sands Mobile Home Park. Mr. Hester will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to LifePath Hospice of Tampa. Ray, Daddy, Grandpa Hester was loved and appreciated, and will be missed dearly.

KELLY, Evelyn Burkett, 80, of Aiken, S.C., formerly of Tampa, died Friday, November 23, 2001 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta after a brief illness. She was born in Tampa and spent her childhood in St. Petersburg. She is survived by her husband, Horace C. Kelly; and her three sons, Patrick, Dennis, and David Kelly. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and one grandchild. A memorial service was held at St. Johns United Methodist Church, Aiken, S.C.

LANCASTER Sr., Paul R., 70, passed away in Lutz, Florida Dec.13, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Lancaster; three sons, Paul Raymond Lancaster, Jr., Michael Robert Lancaster and Mercer Jesse Hogan; a daughter, Linda Rose Thomas; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bob, John and Don Lancaster; two sisters, Betty Jean Conway and Dorothy Mohr. Mr. Lancaster was born in Dunbar, Pennsylvania and had lived in Lutz since 1960. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lutz. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec.16, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 West Azeele St., Tampa, 33609.

LEVINS, Rutherford B. `Butch`, 88, of Lutz passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Hilda J. Williams and her husband Tony, Lutz; granddaughters, Tonya Malone of Boca Raton and Tia Sebree of Conroe, Texas ; five great-grandchildren. Mr. Levins was a member of the Masons, Hillsborough Lodge #25 F& AM for 55 years and retired from Civil Service in 1960. A Masonic Graveside Service will be held Monday, Dec. 17, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lutz Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

McMILLAN, Gary Rose, 65, of Tampa, passed away Dec. 13, 2001. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and dearly loved by his grandchildren. He was respected and loved by family and friends. He is survived by wife, Marilyn E. McMillan; son, Todd Ross McMillan; daugh- ters, Brenda Sue Tolley and husband Michael, and Holly Dee Edwards and husband Rob; three sisters, Donna Breker, Nancy Bookmyer, and Jean McMillan; four grandchildren, April R. Tolley, Lee A. Tolley, Ross C. Edwards, and Sadie B. Edwards. He served in pastoral ministries for fifteen years. The churches were in Blachleyville, Ohio, Oneida, N.Y., and Seekonk, Mass. A funeral service will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Christ Community Church, 6202 N. Himes Ave. with interment to follow in Florida National Ceme tery. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fred Powell; daughter Sharon Johnson; son Fred, Jr.; brothers Joe and Keith Denmark; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God, Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2001 in the highest Praise Family Church, 1350 E. SKOK, George William, 81, of Tampa, died Dec. 14, 2001, under the care of LifePath Hospice, after a brief battle with cancer. He was a retired electronics salesman and a Marine Corps Corporal in World War II, serving in the Pacific area. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church where he served as a RCIA Sponsor, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of the choir. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son and his wife, Timothy and Mary Ann Skok, Tampa; daughter and husband, Kathryn and Edward Brune, Alpharetta, Ga.;daughter and husband, Jane and James Brihan, Nashua, N.H.; brother, Herman Skok, Hazel Park, Mich.; sisters, Catherine Hellman, Fenton, Mich.; and Theresa Lussier, Battle Creek, Mich.; and six grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4522 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa, FL. 33611. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, with a Wake and Rosary Service beginning at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

BATTLE, Ruth, 71, passed into God's loving arms on Dec. 13, 2001. Ruth was a wonderful wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed; no more pain, no more fighting. She was very devoted to her family and church and loved by all. Phyllis had a passion for life and served her community as a Volunteer at the Lighthouse for the Blind in Florida, and literacy volunteer for Project Read. Her main life's work outside of her family was helping people learn to read and achieve literacy in their lives. She is survived by her loving family. Services were held in Sylvania, Ohio. GROSS, Pincus, PhD., 77, died in Tampa on October 4, 2001. He is survived by friends and family. A retired faculty member of the Dept. of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida, he also had a private practice in in Clinical Psychology as well as a history of service as a Cantor, machinist, and union organizer. Through his excellence in teaching applied humanistic psychology, Dr. Gross changed lives and supported hundreds of graduate students in entering careers in the helping professions. His vast knowledge of how people grow was supported by a deep belief in accepting personal responsibility and expanding awareness combined with a style that was challenging and loving. Considered a legend by many of his students, his life will be celebrated at th e Unitarian Universalist Dome, 11400 Morris Bridge Rd. in Tampa on Dec. 21, 2001 from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends and family are invited.
