SCHIMMENTI, William N. `Billy` Jr., 45, of Wesley Chapel, passed away March 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda M. Schimmenti of Wesley Chapel; kids, Sport, Dusty, Rookie, Micki, and Vinny; sister, Debra Garcia of Augusta, Georgia; mother, Elizabeth Prebis of Tampa; two nephews, Jerry Garcia III of Oklahoma and Kenneth Allen Garcia of Augusta Georgia. Mr. Schimmenti has been a mechanic with the City of Tampa Fire Dept. for the past seven years, was a Major in the Tampa Police Dept. Reserve Force for 23 years and an avid Yankees fan all his life. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 18, 2002, 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1711 E. 11th Avenue, by Father Thomas Stokes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tampa Police Dept., 6605 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL 33604, or the Tampa Fire Dept. in his memory.

WADE, Bonnie G. (Harmon), 86, of Tampa, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2002. She is survived by her son, Michael Harmon of Greeneville, Tenn.; daughter, Mary Guy of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; sister, Mary Kay Carter of Greeneville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held Monday, March 18 at 11 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

BRODY, Nathaniel H., 81 of Tampa passed away Thursday, March 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Rene Brody; and children. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery.

CARTER, Burdice Irene, 78, of Webster, formerly of Plant City, passed away March 16, 2002. She is survived by four sons, Doyle Gene Carter, Everett Carter, Edward Carter, and Gary Carter; three daughters, Lois Tillis, Debbie Sybert, and Lena Villalba; four brothers, Roy Bethune, Bobby Bethune, Ottis Bethune and Douglas Bethune; one sister, Christine Thomas; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carter moved to the area in 1972 from Vero Beach and was a member of Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Anthony Grafton officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

HARDING, Charles T., 61, passed away March 14, 2002, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Chuck is survived by his wife of forty years, Patricia (Bray); daughters, Donell Harding, Darcielle Gray and husband Doug, Bernadette Tillberg and husband Ken; grandchildren, Danica Gray and Rayanne Tillberg; sisters, Barbara Cowan and brother-in-law Ray Cowan, Donna Magdanz and brother-in-law Jim Magdanz and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. and Daisy Harding. Chuck proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for twenty six years, and retired from McDill AFB, Tampa, as a Captain in 1984. After his retirement, he owned and operated Florida Landcare and John's Palm Nursery and Landscaping, both in Tampa. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m., at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 14920 Hutchison Rd, Tampa, Fla. Chuck was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit Gage and Quinn Roberts, Chuck's infant grandniece and toddler grandnephew, both of whom are in need of kidney transplants. Mrs. Hellman is survived by her husband, Mervin Hellman of Tampa; two daughters, Melissa Hellman of Tampa and Cheryl Hellman of N.J.; one son, Steven Hellman of Tampa; her parents, Anita and Lou Pecker of Ft. Lauderdale; two brothers, Marc Packer and Edward Pecker, both of Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Hellman was a member of Congregation Kol Ami. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Congregation Kol Ami. Rabbi Joel Wasser will officiate. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made in her memory to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

HODGSON, Pearl Tyre, 85, longtime resident of Atlanta, passed away peacefully in Tampa, Saturday, March 16, 2002, surrounded by family and friends. `Aunt Pearl` is survived by her nieces, Linda Tyre, Patricia Tyre, Theresa Doyle, DeeAnn Fuqua, Luwaine Proctor, Cynthia Jester, and Brenda Fanning; and her nephew, Michael Tyre; and several great-nieces and nephews. JACKSON, Paul Arlington, age 73, of Tampa passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Jackson; daughter, Diane Jackson; sons, Lester and Roger Jackson; and two grandchildren. Mr. Jackson was a native of West Bay, Grand Caymen.
