LENNON, Lois M. `Loie`, 77, of Valrico passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002. Preceded in death by her brother, Dale Greenwood and sister, Sandra Adams. She is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Mark of Naples, Fla.; daughter, Shelley Grimes of Brandon, Fla., sisters, Carol Klose of Valrico, Fla. and Sharon Greenwood of Minneapolis, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Jason Grimes, Katherine and Megan Lennon. She has resided in the Tampa area for 10 years coming from her native, Faribault, Minn. Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon Saturday at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. til service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in her memory.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; step-son, Michael Nasco and wife, Robin, Tampa; daughter, Melanie MacDonald Williams of Ft. Lauderdale; step-daughter, Tana DeLuca and husband, Pete of St. Louis, Mo.; sister-in-law, Norma Gonzalez and husband, Joe of Tampa; grandchildren, Pete DeLuca and Sarah, Anthony DeLuca, Kristin Nasco and Danielle Nasco. PALEVEDA, Mary Helen, 78, of Tampa, died Monday March 18, 2002 in Tampa. Survivors include her husband, Patrick F. Paleveda, Sr.; two sons, Patrick F. Paleveda, Jr., and his wife Judith of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Matthew A. Paleveda of Tampa; four daughters, Helen L. Wehle and her husband Joseph of Odessa, Fla., Jean M. Shaw and her husband Steven of Lewisville, Texas , Katherine S. Tomas and her husband Omar of Tampa, and Robin M. Merkel and her husband George of Tampa; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Joanna Paleveda, Peter, Elizabeth and Amy Wehle, Adam Shaw, Ian Tomas, Patrick and Daniel Merkel; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Jr., Henry and Miles Paleveda. Mrs. Paleveda came to Tampa 56 years ago from her native Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2002 at Christ The King Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph F. Doyle S.J., as celebrant. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those who wish may contribute to Jesuit High School Scholarship Endowment in her memory.

PERGOLA, Paul George, born February 22, 1942 and died March 19, 2002. He was self-employed. Survived by sons, Anthony and James; four brothers, Philip, Vincent, David and John; seven sisters, Josephine, Kay, Nancy, Clara, Ruth, Betty and Ginger; and many nieces and nephews. His father, Phillipo, his mother, Rosario, his brother, Frank and his brother, Joseph preceded him in death. His many friends and family will miss him. He was a veteran of the US Army and member of American Legion Post #152.

PERKINS, Russell D., 53, rested in peace Monday, March 18, 2002 surrounded by his family and friends at home. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pilar Perkins; one son, David Perkins; one daughter, Helenita Salom; one sister, Phyllis Boles; and nephews, Tom and Jessie Grane and their daughters. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 23 between 2-4 p.m. in Tampa.

PILLING, Robert Edward, 75, passed away at his home March 20, 2002. Robert was born in Nashville, Tenn. on October 18, 1926. Son of Lucy and Sam Pilling who preceded him in death, he is survived by his wife, Dolores of 43 years. Mr. Pilling and his wife, Dolores are members of the Free Will Baptist Church of Seffner. Mr. Pilling joined the Army at age 18 and served during World War II, and retired as a Lt. Colonel after having served a total of 33 years. He was sent to Japan and upon returning to the U.S., Bob joined the National Guard and attended many service schools. His last school that he attended was Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where he received a promotion. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Darwin and Vanburen Robins, both of Point Pleasant, W.Va .; sisters-in-law, Irene and husband, Harry and Marceline Schultz, both of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews. Robert will be dearly missed by many loving local friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2002, at 12:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL 33569. Visitation will be held one hour prior, at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

PITTET, Jr., Rene E., 81, of Tampa, passed away Wednesday morning, March 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Millie; two sons, Tom and Rene III; two step-sons, Bud and Bill Runyon; four daughters, Julie, Phyllis, Jackie and Jean Lee; two step-daughters, Patti and Donna Runyon; two sisters, Rit MacLaury and Jean O'Neil; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was born in Connecticut and raised in Sydney, N.Y., and was a retired Captain USAF, serving in World War II. He was associated with Western Michigan University and U.S.F. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, at 10 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., with Full military honors by MacDill A.F.B. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions, in his memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society.

RIVERO, Elise Augusta Scharf, passed into the arms of the Lord on March 15, 2002. She was born Nov. 8, 1907 in Washington D.C. Elise is preceded in death by her husband, Horace A. Rivero; and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Julie Peckham and her granddaughter, Laura Peckham Dolan. Elise was a lover of cats, a poet, and a legal and church secretary. Elise possessed a keen intellect and clever sense of humor. Elise's wish is that each of us extend a hand to and spend time with those who are lonely or in need, and that we read, share and enjoy the written word. Elise is a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at St. Mark's Church, 13335 Casey Road, Carrollwood, Tampa.

SCOTT, Melton Robert, 53, of Palmetto, died March 20, 2002 at home. A gathering of family and friends will be 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Kicliter Funeral Home Chapel, 517 Eight Avenue West, Palmetto, Florida. Born in Tampa, Mr. Scott was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He owned Port Manatee Ship Repair in Palmetto. He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Survivors include his wife, Michelle; two daughters, Karrie A. Farmer of Wimauma and Lindsey H. Fair of Palmetto; a son, Kenneth W. of Riverview; his mother, Mary Scott of Palmetto; a brother, Collins O., of Riverview; and a grandson, Zachary Farmer.

SIVAK, Margaret E., 85, of New Port Richey, died March 21, 2002. Survived by three sons; two daughters; one brother; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

TUCKER, Tom, age 47, passed away on March 18, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard `Dick` and Phyllis Jo Tucker. He is survived by his brother, Michael Tucker of Marion, Ind. and his sisters, Susan Shriver of Waynesburg, Pa. and Cindy Toole of Tampa. A native of Anderson, Indiana , he moved to Tampa over 20 years ago.

WESTON, Dominique Larry, 19, of Seffner, Fla. died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, after a car accident. He was born in Fort Bragg, N.C., and was a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area. He attended Armwood, High School. He was employed in the food service industry and worked at Bob Evans Restaurant and Perkins Restaurant. He is survived by his mother, Linette Weston of Temple, Texas ; one uncle and wife, David and Oralyn Weston of Fort Washington , Md.; and two aunts, Marie Weston of Seffner, and Gail Weston of St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Chapel, 4002 N. 28th St., Tampa. A wake will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
