GARDNER, Charles Seymour, 87, passed away August 13, 2002. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a Lay Leader, a member of the church choir, and a Sunday School Leader. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three sons, Peter Charles, John William and James Seymour; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the USF Foundation/Institute on Aging.

HALL, Rosie, 91, of Tampa, passed away August 10, 2002 in Tampa. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her son, Glenn R. Stahl and daughter, Fay Savich. Survivors include her husband, Harry Hall; step-sons, H. Sebourne Hall and Frank Hall; step-daughters, Elizabeth Hall Cano, Nancy Mitchell and Kathy Ward; daughter-in-law, Dee Stahl; and eight grandchildren. During World War II, Mrs. Hall served as one of `Rosie the Riveters`. She worked at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. as a dietician for 27 years and volunteered at the Braille Institute in Tampa. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday August 18, 2002 at the Wellswood Baptist Church, 5101 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, FL. with Pastor Bill Phillips officiating. Please omit flowers and in Mrs. Hall's memory make contributions to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL. 33609.

HARDER, Frank A., 88, of Tampa, formerly of Hudson, died August 12, 2002. Survived by one son; two daughters; four siblings; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. North Meadowlawn Funeral.

HARVESTER, Margaret, 84, of Tampa, passed away August 12, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; and two daughters, Nancy Hicks and India Walls. Survivors include her daughter, Linda E. Hart; a sister, Florence Cassin; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harvester was born in Miami, Fla., and had resided in the Tampa area most of her life. She was a member of the Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, had been a private duty L.P.N. and had served as a sitter at John Knox Village. Funeral services will be held at the Garden Of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave., at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon with Rev. James V. Harvester, officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

HAUCK, Zachary Donald (Zack), 15, of Oldsmar, died Aug. 13, 2002. Survivors include his parents, Richard and Patricia; sister, Annette; paternal grandparents and great-grandmother. Holloway F.H.

HOULIHAN, Jr., Frank M., Col. USAF, Ret, passed away August 10, 2002. Col. Houlihan was born in Thomasville, Ga. and raised in Tampa. He was the son of Frank M. and Mae S. Houlihan. He attended Gorrie and Mitchell schools and was in the first class at Plant High School where he played football. He attended the University of Tampa on a football scholarship. He married Gwendolyn Bond Houlihan on May 5, 1938 and together they shared a loving marriage of 64 years. In 1942, he joined the United States Air Force and attained the rank of full Colonel before retirement. Upon retiring from the Air Force he was employed by the State of Florida for several years. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn and a sister Margarite Hope. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, at 10 a.m. at the Hyde Park United Methodist Church with The Rev. James A. Harnish, Senior Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park with Full military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hyde Park United Methodist Church Building Fund.

JOHNSON, Phoebe Pittman, 83, of Tampa, died August 12, 2002. She is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Stone's Memorial Funeral Home

McBRIDE, Alma Jean, 65, of Tampa, passed Aug. 6, 2002. She is survived by children, Sanford, Janice, Pamela and Alma M.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. Wilson F.H.

MUNGER, Vernice R. (Rowell), 93, of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Castine, Maine, died August 12, 2002 at Penobscot, Maine. She retired to Zephyrhills in 1969 with her late husband, Francis Munger. WILCOX, Aurelia `Teensie`, 88, of Tampa passed away August 10, 2002. She is survived by her nephew, Larry Rutan and his wife, Ginger; and a cousin, Frankie Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2002, 2 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, with interment to follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service.

WILLIAMS, Emmilene J., 82, of Tampa passed away on August 13, 2002 at Hospice House in Sun City Center. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter J. Williams; a son, Dr. Gregory D. Williams; two daughters, Vicki Griffith and Beverly Shadwell; a sister Marjorie Ryan; grandchildren Jennifer Emmilene Griffith, Wendy Ellyn Snyder, and David Williams. She was a graduate of MacMurray College in her native Jacksonville, Ill., and was a member of the First Christian Church of Tampa, where she was the first lady Elder, served 18 years as librarian and a member of Christian Women's Fellowship. A Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Roslin Springer and Dr. Craig Wascovick officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church, one hour prior to the funeral. The family suggests contributions be made in Mrs. Williams' memory to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund or LifePath Hospice.

MESSICK, Orene H `Renie`, 73, of Dade City, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002. She was born in Dozier, Alabama and moved here in 1954. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William George Messick; three sons, B. G. Messick of Port Richey, Donnie Messick of San Antonio and William K. Messick of Dade City; two daughters, Peggy Bee of Immokalee, Fla., and Debra Colon of Summerfield, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home, Dade City Chapel. Burial will follow at Dade City Cemetery.

O'TOOLE, L.E. (Peggy), of Dade City, passed away on August 12, 2002. Her loving husband, Paul O'Toole, preceded her in death. She was a member of Church of Christ of Trilacoochee. Survivors include sons, P. Michael O'Toole and wife Tammy of Dade City, and James W. O'Toole and wife Patricia of Massachusetts; daughters, Kathleen E. Meeker and husband Steve of Dade City, and Maureen B. Hollister and husband Ward of Dade City; one sister, Julia Pinciaro, wife of C. Joseph Pinciaro of Massachusetts; twin brothers, Edward Irwin and wife Thomasina of Massachusetts, and Vincent Irwin and wife Gracie of Massachusetts; and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Irwin, wife of the late William G. Irwin of Massachusetts. She has 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Frida y evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. August 16, at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City. Funeral Services for Mrs. O'Toole will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at the funeral home with grandsons, Donald and Paul Meeker officiating. Grandson, Steven Meeker, Jr. will do opening and closing prayers. Graveside Services will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens with grandson Donald Meeker. BARNES, Elizabeth `Betty`, 85, of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2002 of Pancreatic Cancer. She was born in Granville, Ill. After residing in Springfield, Va. for 54 years she moved to Lakeland in 2000. She was a member of the Catholic Church and Highland Fairways Country Club of Lakeland. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Welsh and son-in-law, Jerry Welsh of Fairfax Station, Va.; and daughter Patty Flood and son-in-law, Chris Flood of Tampa, Fla.; three grandsons and six granddaughters; two brothers, William Shevokas and James Shevokas of Springfield, Ill.; three sisters, Mayme Saputo of Springfield, Ill., Ann Danner of Lakeland, Fla., Elsie Lennox of Ellenton, Fla. He is survived by daughter and her husband, Martha Ellen and David O'Nan of Seffner; his son, Robert Dyer Barnum of St. Augustine, Fla.; granddaughter, Leigh Anne Ward; grandson, Aaron Michael Ward; great-grandchildren, Michael S. CHANCEY, Margie Ann Johnson Thomas, 63, of Parrish, Fla., passed away at her home Thursday, August 8, 2002. She was born July 27, 1939, in Tampa, Florida, and had been a lifelong resident of Florida. She was the owner of Tropical Glass Company, in Sebring, Florida, and was a member of the Independent Glass Association; Business and Professional Women's Association; Sebring Chamber of Commerce and the Panhandle Cloggers. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her husband, Larry Collett of Parrish, Fla.; sons, Darryl Thomas of Sebring, Fla., Tim Thomas of Tampa, Fla., and Darren Thomas of Sebring, Fla.; mother, Georgia D.L. Johnson of Gibsonton, Fla.; brothers, Pete Johnson of Gibsonton, Fla., and Charlie `Bud` Johnson of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Deborah Johnson Mullins of Gibs onton, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
