Patricia Ann Jean, 60, of Leesburg died Thursday (Nov. 16, 2000). Born in Syracuse, N.Y., she moved to Leesburg from Tully, N.Y., in 1994. She was a retired human resource manager from Bristol Meyers, Squibb, after 10 years. She was a Protestant and a member of the Eastern Star of Tully, N.Y. Survivors include her husband, Richard D.; sons, Thomas E. of Frederickburg, Va., and Daniel L. of Tully, N.Y.; daughters, Melissa Jean of Syracuse, N.Y., and Jennifer L. Trexler of Apulia Station, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg.

S.B. Manning
S.B. Manning, 78, of Leesburg died Thursday (Nov. 16, 2000). Born in Scottsboro, Ala., he moved to Leesburg in 1990. He was the former owner of Manning's Ready to Wear and Music Store, Scottsboro, Ala., and was a member of Church of God of Skyline, Ala. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Louise; sons, Ken of Huntsville, Ala., Tommy of Paint Rock, Ala., and Roger of Scottsboro, Ala.; and daughter, Eunice Sharpe of Scottsboro, Ala. Navada Montgomery
Navada G. Montgomery, 89, of Altoona died Friday (Nov. 17, 2000). Born in Scio, Pa., she moved to Central Florida in 1973. She was a librarian for the U.S. Department of the Navy and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. She was also a member of O.E.S. William McKinnly Chapter of LaTrobe, Pa. She was a Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Survivors include her cousins, Frederick D. Kane of Leesburg and Joseph H. Kane of Melborne, Pa. Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis.

Odus E. Mullis
Odus E. Mullis, 86, of Leesburg died Thursday (Nov. 16, 2000). Born in Eastman, Ga., he moved to Lake County from Miami in 1976. He was a retired maintenance foreman with Pan American Airways, serving for 39 years in Miami. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Fruitland Park. Survivors include his son, Robert A. of Fruitland Park; grandsons, Bob and Scott Mullis; and great-grandchildren, Robby, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jared, and Julie. Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake.
Funeral services for Odus E. Mullis will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 21, 2000) at Calvary Baptist Church, Fruitland Park, with Dr. Charles Couey and Pastor Ken Dembeck officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday (Nov. 20, 2000) from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery, Fruitland Park. Todd C. Prosser
Todd Christopher Prosser, 25, of Atlanta died Wednesday (Nov. 15, 2000). Born in Winter Haven, raised in Ocala, he moved from Gainesville to Atlanta in 1999. He was an associate developer for an Internet consulting firm and was an Episcopalian. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Florida in 1997 and a master's degree with high honors in decision and information sciences from the University of Florida in 1999. Prosser was an avid Gator fan. Survivors include his parents, Ted C. Jr. and Ellen Prosser of Ocala; and brother, Ted C. III of Gainesville. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg.
Memorial services for Todd Christopher Prosser will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 20, 2000) at St. James Episcopal Church, Leesburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to University of Florida Foundation, Inc. or St. James Episcopal Memorial Fund. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg.

Marion Westerfield
Marion C. Westerfield, 85, of Sebastian died Thursday (Nov. 16, 2000) in Vero Beach. Born in Woodhaven, N.Y., she moved to Leesburg in 1987 from Smithtown, N.Y., and in 1999 to Vero Beach. She retired from Colonial Furniture, Smithtown, N.Y., in 1980 after 21 years of service. She was an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Dora and Smithtown, N.Y. She was a volunteer for the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry, Greater New York Blood Services, Scouting, PTA, and the American Red Cross. Survivors include her sons, George "Andy" of Sebastian and Garry Allan of Smithtown, N.Y.; daughter, Grayce M. O'Neill of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Marion C. Westerfield, 85, formally of Smithtown, N.Y., and Leesburg, moving to Vero Beach in June of 1999, died Nov. 16, 2000, at Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach. Marion was born May 27, 1915, in Woodhaven, N.Y. She was predeceased by her son, Capt. Roy W. Westerfield, USAF, and her husband, George W. "Bill" Westerfield. She was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Dora and Smithtown, N.Y. She retired from Colonial Furniture, Smithtown, N.Y., in 1980 after 21 years of service. Her generous spirit led her to many years of volunteer service, including among other, the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry, The Greater New York Blood Service, Red Cross, scouting, and PTA. Surviving are two sons, George "Andy" Westerfield of Sebastian and Gary A. Westfield of Smithtown, N.Y., and one daughter, Grayce M. O'Neill of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Sebastian on Friday (Dec. 8) at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made with local chapters of Hospice or the American Red Cross.

Vivian C. Wolf
Vivian C. Wolf, 93, of Leesburg died Thursday (Nov. 16, 2000). Born in Bolcher, Ind., she moved to Leesburg in 1972 from Indianapolis. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Survivors include her nephew and his wife, Robert and Delia Everhart of Scottsburg, Ind.; brother-in-law, Jim Wolf of Indianapolis; cousin and his wife, Bernard and Cecelia Nichols of Lady Lake. Family and friends of Mrs. Vivian Wolf will receive friends at Page-Theus Funeral Home, 914 W. Main St., Leesburg, on Saturday (Nov. 18, 2000) from 10 a.m. until noon. Mrs. Wolf was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Charles Louis Wolf. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Robert and Delia Everhart of Scottsburg, Ind.; brother-in-law, Jim Wolf of Indianapolis; cousin and his wife, Bernard and Cecelia Nichols of Lady Lake and many friends. Chester J. Adzgowski

Chester J. Adzgowski, 80, of Lady Lake died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000). Born in Chicago, he moved to Lady Lake from Riverdale, Ill., in 1995. He was a retired Q.A. Representative for International Harvester. He was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Lady Lake and the American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Mary; brother, Alexander Adzgowski of Chicago; sister, Helen Feliszak of Calumet Park, Ill.; sister-in-law, Dorothy McLaughlin of Windsor, Ontario; nieces; and nephews. Seldon Carpenter

Seldon Carpenter, 87, of Leesburg died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000). Born in Breathitt County, Ky., he moved to Central Florida in 1975. He was a farmer and a Christian. Survivors include his wife, Dora; son, James M. of Pierson; daughter, Mary Arne of Leesburg; sisters; Lorene Workman of and Louliza Hunter both of Calif.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Ethel H. Lamb

Ethel H. Lamb, 68, of Lady Lake died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000). Born in Andes, N.Y., she moved to Lady Lake from Greene, N.Y., in 1993. She was a retired legal secretary and a Protestant. Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Simonds of Lady Lake, Joanne Farnham of Greene, N.Y. and Marlene Drexler of Jonesboro, Mo.; brothers, Charlie Howland of Endicott, N.Y. and Roger Howland of Vestal, N.Y.; sister, Hazel Ryberg of Earlville, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Glen Charles Maguire

Glen Charles Maguire, 54, of Groveland died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000). Born in Jacksonville, he moved to Groveland from Greencove Springs in 1958. He was a nursery owner and operator. He attended Edge Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Erin Maguire of Groveland; parents, Dot and Robert J. Herman C. Mathews

Herman C. Mathews, 74, of Leesburg died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 2000). Born in East Detroit, Mich., he moved to Central Florida in 1973. He was retired owner and operator of Mathews Industrial. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Marines. Survivors include his wife, Frances; daughter, Lori Carmichael of Ponce Inlet; brother, Floyd of East Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Dorothy Teagarden of Neward, Ohio, Eleanor Coburn of St. Joseph, Mich. and Betty Burns of Mt. Garrett V. McBryde, Jr.

Garrett V. "Mac" McBryde, Jr., 83, of Webster died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000). Born in Tucson, Ariz., he moved to Webster from Bonifay in 1981. He was a retired rancher. He attended St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Clermont. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #202 in Atna, Ala., and an Army veteran of WWII. Survivors include his son, C.D. "Monty" McBryde of Winter Park; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Kurfiss Funeral Home, Groveland.

Benedict J. McElheran

Benedict Joseph McElheran, 88, of Wildwood died Sunday (Sept. 17, 2000). Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., he moved to Wildwood from Michigan in 1981. He was a retired vice president of Old Kent Bank in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a Catholic and served in WWII with the Army. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two nephews; and four nieces. Eunice M. Phillips

Eunice M. Phillips, 78, of Mount Dora died Saturday (Sept. 16, 2000). Born in Reinbeck, Iowa, she moved to Central Florida from Des Moines, Iowa, in 1972. She was a housewife. Survivors include her son, Mark A. of Mount Dora; daughters, Susan Phillips of Iowa and Debbie Phillips of Athens, Ga.; brothers, Melvin Bucka of Minneapolis, Minn., and Paul Bucka of Bakersfield, Calif.; and one grandchild. Albert Charles Weibel

Albert Charles Weibel, 89, of Clermont died Monday (Sept. 18, 2000). Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he moved to Clermont in 1998. He was a baker and a Lutheran. Survivors include his sons, Charles of Aurora, Colo. and Albert of Gordon, Neb.; daughter, Madeline Epstein of Clermont; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Lloyd Franklin Morgan, 61, of 676 Westgate Parkway, died Saturday morning, July 13, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. today at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marquis Wingard officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala., 36302, or to Cloverdale United Methodist Church, 102 Rollins Ave., 36301.

Nadine C. Byrd, 86, of the Mt. Pleasant Community, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, in Flowers Hospital in Dothan. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Searcy Funeral Home.

Mr. Van Stabler Riley, 88, of Ozark died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.

Betty Joyce Thompson, 49, of 112 Victoria Dr., Headland, slipped away Monday, July 15, 2002, at her home. Reposing will be at Scott’s Chapel Hill Mortuary, 701 Daleville Ave., Enterprise. Family and friends may call at the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church from 5-7 p.m. Friday for visitation. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Andrew Levett expressing words of comfort. Burial will follow in The Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
