CORY, Charles, 89, of Sun City Center, died August 21, 2002. He is survived by his children, Alice Ranta, Robert and John; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

COTTRELL, Florence, 80, of Tampa, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002. Survivors include two daughters, Craig Willis and Cynthia Burley; a sister, Agnes Odjakjian; and six grandchildren. CREWS, Maria, 56, of Tampa, died August 21, 2002 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Spain, she moved to Tampa in 1972. Ms. Crews is survived by sons, Adam and Tony Perez; daughter, Tracy and husband, Erik Herring; grandchildren, Andrue, Cannon, Anneliese, Marissa, Rachel, Savannah, Jayla, and Anthony. She is also survived by loving companions Bear and Cosita. Memorial Services will be held at Florida Mortuary on Saturday, August 24, 2002 at 1:00 p,m.

DAVIS, Christel Edeltraud, age 52, of Tampa, passed away August 20, 2002. A native of Arnstein, Germany and resident of Tampa for the past 12 years, Mrs. Davis was the loving mother of daughter, Daniela Dulk and fiance, Charles Hinds; son, Dieter Dulk; mother, Ursula Mitzkatis; Daniela's and Dieter's father, Rudolf Dulk; and three brothers in Germany. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. HARRISON, Patricia Barr, 73,of Lakeland, died August 19, 2002. Survived by one daughter; one son; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

JONES, Robert (Bob) Lewis, was also known as BBJ to his many CB friends. He passed this life on August 22, 2002 at home after a long illness. He was 76. Robert was born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, and had lived in Tampa 63 years. He was a Veteran of World War II and after 32 years retired from GTE. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; mother and father; one sister; and one brother. Survivors include his sister and caregiver, Mrs. Jimmie L. Andrews of Tampa, Mrs. Lucille H. Lowen of New York and Mrs. Margaret V. Lankford of Valdosta, Georgia; brothers, Billy Jones and his wife, Angie of Ocala and Homer T. Jones of Houston, Texas ; four nieces and nine nephews and their families. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. August 23, 2002 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, at 232 3 W. Brandon Blvd. Services will be August 24 at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609, in his memory.

KIENZLE, Raymond Paul, 52, passed away August 20, 2002 in Tampa after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ray was born in California and was raised in South Tampa. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Hyde Park. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Kienzle of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one sister, Cynthia Kienzle of New York City; two brothers, John Kienzle of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert Kienzle of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and devoted companion, Karyl Pellegrino. The family wishes to express their immense gratitude to Ray's many friends and to his medical team for their love, concern and support of Ray during his illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. August 26, at First Christian Church. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., alongside his father, Capt. Forrest Favon Kienzle. in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray's memory to First Christian Church, Tres Dias Fund, 350 S. Hyde Park Ave., Tampa, FL 33606 or to LifePath hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.

LONG, Homer Jackson, 84 years old, went home to be with the Lord, August 22, 2002. It is with deep sadness that his family makes this announcement. Born in Chiefland, Fla. on October 18, 1917, he was a resident of Plant City for 80 years. He was a loving, caring and wonderful man, married to his loving, best friend, and devoted wife of 62 years, Margaret Louise Newsome Long. Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cleo Long; sisters, Voncile O'Steen and Grace Gunter; brothers, Ernest Long and J.W. Long. He is survived by his loving son, Jack Ellis Long; loving daughter, Linda Diane Tucker and her husband Butch Tucker of Plant City. Blessed with his loving grandchildren, Lisa Morgan and husband Jimmy, David Long and wife Leigh Ann, Sharon Field and husband Terry, Cindy Cutting and husband Robert all of Plant City, Jody McDonough and husband Shawn of Lakeland. Greatly Blessed with his adorable great-grandchildren, Kayla Morgan, Erin, Emma Leigh and Evan Long, Lauren and Rebecca Field, Michaella and Chloe Christie and one on the way. A loving brother, Mac Long of Lakeland; and a dear and loving daughter-in-law Nancy Long Beasley and husband Roger. He was a World War II veteran. His family owned the Long's Welding Shop on Collins Street for many years. He was a member and deacon of Southside Baptist Church for 52 years and was known as the `Candy Man`. He retired from American Cyanamid in 1979. Many thanks to Dr. Steve Smith and his staff, Rotech Medical and to his friends and neighbors for all their love and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 301 E. Alsobrook Street, Plant City, Florida 33563 in memory of Homer Long.
The family win receive friends on Friday, 6 to 8 p.m at Southside Baptist Church. Services will be on Saturday at the church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jeffery Howell, Rev. Charles Harkala, and Rev. Lester Scott officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

PYFER-COLE, Deborah E., 54, of Oldsmar, passed away June 25, 2002 in Tampa. Born in Baltimore, Md., November 23, 1947, she moved to the Tampa area in 1973. Mrs. Pyfer-Cole was a Medical Administrative Assistant. Survivors include two sons, Cyrus W. Cole Jr. of Land O'Lakes and Christopher W. Cole of Tarpon Springs; her parents, Weedon and Lucille Pyfer of Oldsmar; a sister, Audrey P. Metz of Monrovia, Md.; and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 24 at 11:30 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, 207 East Buckingham Ave., Oldsmar.

REYNOLDS, H. Gerald Sr. (Gerre), 62, of Brandon, passed away August 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 42 years; daughters, Cathy Thornhill of Riverview and Amy Newberry of Ruskin; sons, Gerre Reynolds Jr. and Rich Reynolds of Tampa; grand-children, David and Hannah Thornhill, Molly and Jake Ames and Brian and Amber Newberry; mother, Melba Victoria Reynolds of Brandon; and brother, Dr. Gene Reynolds of Largo. He was a graduate of Auburn University and Cumberland Law School in Birmingham. He was born in Alexander City, Alabama and moved to Florida in 1973. He retired from Jim Walter Corporation after 30 plus years of service. He was co-owner of CENTURY 21 Reynolds Realty, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brandon. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2002 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hillsboro Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Brandon Blvd. in Brandon. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2002 at lO a.m. with Pastor Ted Dean of the First Baptist Church of Palm River officiating. Internment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Paul Lavelle, Dave Karczewski, Vern Spangler, John Freeman, Doug Menard, Hager Barnthouse. Hon orary Pallbearers: Judge Charles Wilson, John Telfer, Lecil Colburn, Don Gibson, Mike Ames and Pat Rumery. ROTH, Sarah L. `Sally`, age 76, a resident of Plant City, passed away on August 20, 2002. Mrs. Roth was a native of Youngstown, Ohio and a resident of Plant City since 1979. Mrs. Roth was a former Deputy clerk recorder in Mahoning County, Ohio and a homemaker. She was of the Reformed Presbyterian Faith. Predeceased by her brother, William. Survivors include her husband, John E. Roth of Plant City; two daughters, Heather Sparkman and her husband, Bryan of Lakeland and Leandra Ryan and her husband, Peter of Sydney, Australia; her brother, John Dysart of Youngstown; sister, Ann Folsom and her husband, James of Nashville, Tennessee; and two grand-children, Tyler and Sydney of Lakeland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Wells Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Tim Carson officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was a carpenter, a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Riverview, a member of the Carpenters Local Union, and a World War II Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; son, James, Jr. and wife, Mona; daughter, Sarah and husband, Bill; brother, Jack; sisters, Nell and Bennie; grandchildren, Amanda, Travis, Rachel, Tim and wife, Chandra, Todd and wife, Shana; and great-grandchildren, Jamesyn and Sierra. THAMES, Francene, 58, of Tampa, passed away August 20, 2002. Survivors include her husband, William T. Thames; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jackie Thames; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jerry Miller; her mother, Ruby Reeves; sister, Frankie Kaup; and two grandchildren, Chrissy and Alan Thames. Mrs. Thames was born in Tampa and was the owner/operator of Bill's Bait and Tackle. The family will receive friends at the Garden Of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Cremation will follow as she requested.

TWIFORD, Capt. Carl D., 83, of Ruskin, died at his residence on Aug. 19, 2002. Capt. Twiford was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran having served with British Coldstream Guards and the U.S. OSS. He attained the rating of sea capital status from the U.S. Army, commanding mine layers and rescue ships during his military career. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary June; sons, Carl S. and Hylas H.; brothers, Edward, Richard, Donald and Floyd; and three grandchildren. Capt. Twiford was a member of the VFW Post 6287 and attended the Ruskin United Methodist Church. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul McCauley officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

DUMMELDINGER, Harriet G., beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Walter Dummeldinger of Land O'Lakes; her daughter, Faith Sincich of Lutz; her sons, David W. Dummeldinger of Hatboro, Pa. and Mark Dummeldinger of Tampa; and six grandchildren. Born in Fort Washington , Pa., she moved to Land O'Lakes in 1990. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, August 25 at 3:00 p.m. at her longtime church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lutz. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National MS Society, 1 Reed Street #200, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
