NAEHRING, Lois Joan, 74, passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2002. Lois was born on September 30, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Flossie Cheeseman. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 1970. Lois is survived by her caring husband of 54 years, Douglas Carl Emerson Naehring; her daughter, Linda K. Carson and husband, Dale and their children, Amanda, Grant and Audrey o f Boulder, Colorado; her daughter, Jackie J. Allman and husband, Brian and their children, Laura and Neil of Tampa, Florida; her daughter, Carel N. Hurless and her sons, Nicholaus and Timmy of Tampa, Florida; and her four siblings, Harriet Wilcox, Janet Armentrout, Jane Denig and Jack Cheeseman of Columbus, Ohio. She enjoyed travelling with Doug in their RV. She was an avid bridge player, loved to dance and play the piano. We will miss her love and her good sense of humor. REICHENBERG, William A., 82, of Palm Harbor, died August 24, 2002 in Palm Harbor. He was the husband of Elaine A. (Landry) Reichenberg. He had been a resident of Palm Harbor since 1981 formerly residing in Rhode Island. Mr. Reichenberg was employed with the former Narragansett Brewery in Cranston, retiring in 1980. He was a World War II Army veteran. He received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained at Anzio Beachead in Italy. He was a member of the Tampa Lodge of Elks and the Clearwater Yacht Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Baute of Rhode Island; two brothers, Kenneth Reichenberg and Frank Reichenberg; one sister, Marjorie Lyons, all of Mass.; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson. TAMBORELLO, Sam, Sr.,87, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Tamborello. Survivors include his two daughters, Emma Lena Manicchia and Rose Marie Varos; son, Sam, Jr.; sister, Rose Woodcock; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A native of Tampa, Mr. Tamborello was owner and operator of `Tamborello Service Station`. He was a DE builder of destroyers and battleships during World War II. He retired as a mechanic from Avis after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of the Italian Club of Tampa and St. Lawrence Catholic Church. VALDES, Oscar, 79, lifelong Tampa resident, passed away on August 24, 2002. Mr. Valdes has traveled on ahead to be with other family members in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis; and mother, Era Watkins. CROMWELL, Rev. John W., 81, of Brandon, Fla. passed away Monday, August 26, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sally Barbara Cromwell and his wife of eight years, Perinda A. Cromwell. He is survived by three sons, John W. Cromwell, Jr. of Brandon, Fla, Stephen J. Cromwell of Bridgeport, W. Va. and David A. Cromwell of Auburndale, Fla.; one daughter, Nancy J. Deemer of Weirton W.Va.; one brother, Arthur H. Cromwell of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A native of Huntington, W.Va. he lived in the area since January, 1986 coming from Weirton, W.Va. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church of Brandon. He was pastor of the First Baptist Church of Weirton, Weirton, W.Va. for 20 years where he retired from the ministry in 1986. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University and Northern Baptist Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity Degree. He was also a World War II Army Veteran. The family will receive friends Tuesday (today) August 27, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stowers Brandon Chapel. There will also be a memorial service and visitation in Weirton, W.Va. and internment will follow in Huntington, W.Va. He was a proud man and loved by many, he will be dearly missed. McLANE, Alan Sheppard, died August 22, 2002 at Mineral Community Hospital in Superior, Mont. He was born in Brandon, Fla., in 1934 to E.F. McLane and Laura Floyd McLane. He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughter, Helen Rene McLane and son-in-law Thomas Lewis Mele and grandsons Daniel McLane Mele and Cameron McLane Mele of Maitland, Fla.; son, Bruce Kraig McLane and daughter-in-law Diane Rodgers of St. Augustine, Fla.; and brothers, Frank and Ted McLane of the Tampa Bay area. Alan was a history teacher for two years at Palatka Jr. High School, a social studies teacher for twenty-one years at Leto Comprehensive High School, and a teacher for six years at the MacFarlane Center. He retired from teaching in 1993. Prior to teaching, he worked for Montana Power, State Farm Insurance, and Fl orida State Insurance Commission. He was an active member of the Hillsborough County Classroom Teachers Association, the FEA, and the NEA. He recently worked with NEA Member Care Long-Term Care Insurance Program. He was president of HEAR, Hillsborough Educators Association-Retired. Alan had worked hard in many campaigns for democratic candidates. He had strong political convictions. MERCER, Pauline, 79, of Spring Hill, Fla., passed away peacefully Saturday, August 24, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Lyons County, Ga. and then moved to Spring Hill. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Benjamin F. Mercer; and a grandson, Donald H. Mercer.
