MILTON, Shirley Lee, 48, of Tampa, died Aug. 13, 2002. She is survived by son, Frank; daughter, Ada; four brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild. She is predeceased by her parents.

PINES, Eva Lorences , age 81, of Tampa, passed away August 25, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mrs. Pines was retired after 38 years of service as supervisor with the Hillsborough Co. Clerk of the Circuit Court Criminal Division. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Pines and is survived by her daughter, Rosemary P. Garcia and husband, Frank H. Garcia; grandchildren, Julie Ann Utley, Valerie Ann Mallory and Willie F. Garcia; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Dana and Adam; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Centro Asturiano Memorial Park Mausoleum. Flowers will be accepted or Contributions may be made to LifePath Hosp ice, Inc, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609 in memory of Mrs. Pines. Pallbearers include: Randy and Raymond Pines, Rick Mallory, Jim Utley, Joe Villa, Fred Langiotti, Sr., Fred Langiotti, Jr., and Kevin Langiotti. Honorary Pallbearers include: Frank H. Garcia, Willie F. Garcia, Tom Ferraro, Gerald Rivero, Dr. Cres Rodrigues, Joseph Canzoneri, Onelio Ochoa, The Honorable E.J. Salcines, Randy Ray Pines, Ryan Pines and Wendall Rodgers. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the chapel of GONZALEZ FUNERAL HOME

PLATT, Mary K., 68, of Tampa Passed away on August 26, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Stevens and Martha L. Dicks; and brother, Tom Richardon.

RAINES, Charles W., 84, of Tampa passed away August 23, 2002. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ramsey Raines of Tampa; sister, Maxine Gardner of Cordalone, Idaho; and niece, Margaret Ann Gardner. Mr. Raines was of the Protestant Faith, a member of the Western Star Lodge #11 F.&A.M. in Guyandotte, W. Virginia, built Raines Mobile Home Park, and was a retired conductor of the Chesapeake Bay Railroad. Graveside services will be held in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 10 a.m.

SORIANO, Robert `Bobby`, 71, lifelong resident of Tampa passed away Saturday, August 24, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Zoraida; son, Robert Anthony Soriano and wife Tania; grandchild, Christopher brother, Cam Colon; sister, Carmen Salgado; step-daughter, Colleen Arias; many nieces and nephews including niece, Terrylynn and husband Frank Muniz; two nephews, Frank and Evelio Jr. Pallbearers include John Blanco, Angel Cortez, Angel Notario, Frank Muniz, Frank Soriano, Angel LaFe Jr., and Robert LaFe. Honorary Pallbearers include, Ronco Noya, `Skippy`, Rene Benitez, Cam Colon, Anthony Soriano, Joe Kotvas, Angel LaFe, and Michael LaFe. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Homes Armenia Chapel with interment following in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. with recitation of the Catholic Wake Rite at 8 p.m. at

WOLF, Robin L., 45, of Riverview, Fla. passed away Sunday, August 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband, James W. Wolf; two sons, Terry and Timothy Bryant; four brothers, Carl, Billy and George Chase and Butch Flanders ; three sisters, Deborah Gagne, Doris Locklear and Jo-Anne Dial; two grandchildren. A native of Concord, New Hampshire she lived in the area for six years. She was the Deli Manager for Winn-Dixie in Valrico, Fla. and a Baptist. Funeral services will be held at Stowers Brandon Chapel, Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions to LifePath Hospice or H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

CAPELL, Mildred M. `Milly`, 86, of Westfield, Mass., died Aug. 22, 2002. Formerly of Zephyrhills from 1972-1998, she came from Massena, N.Y. Survived by sons, Robert H. Capell of Westfield, Mass., and Richard L. Capell, Concord, Calif.; son-in-law, Lloyd Wade of Shortsville, N.Y.; brother, Lawrence H. Martin of Ganesevoort, N.Y.; 12 grand-children; 23 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Harvey E. (1996); daughter, Barbara C. Wade (1974); and a brother, Gene H. MArtin (1996). Mrs. Capell was a Methodist and a member of Cretona Chapter 516, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a manager and sales clerk at Singer Sewing Machine Store, and also worked at one time at Warner Brothers Corset Co., both of Massena, N.Y. The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, N.Y., Wednesday, August 28, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., with Cretona Chapter 516, OES, conducting services at 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Douglas R. Shear officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brasher Falls, New York. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, N.Y. (315) 769-3579

CHANEY, Rev. Philip, 76, of Tampa, died Friday, August 23, 2002 in Tampa. He is survived by one sister, Mavis Bestvater of Peabody, Kan.; and brother, Keith Schuetz of Seguin, Texas . A native of Tarkio, Mo., he moved to Tampa 30 years ago from Indianapolis, Indiana . Known as the `Jailhouse Preacher`, he ministered at many of the jails in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Lake, and Sumter Counties. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home in Dade City with Rev. John Guedes officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to service time.

COMEGYS, Hugh E., 78, of Zephyrhills died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at Royal Oak Nursing Home in Dade City. Born in Wilmington, Delaware he moved to this area six years ago from Castleberry, Florida. He was a retired salesman for Levitz Furniture and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie; and a brother, Leon. Mr. Comegys is survived by his wife, Mary of Zephyrhills; one son, Lee Comegys of Tampa, Florida and one grandchild, Jennifer. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery with Father George of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. JOLLIFF, Deryl Hollington, 62, a resident at Serenity West of Zephyrhills, Florida died August 22, 2002. Born June 13, 1940 to Charles Lewis and Thelma Danz Jolliff in Hardin County, Ohio, he graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1958, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He had live in Florida since the mid 1980's. He is survived by brothers, Joseph Delbert of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Gary David of Corvallis, Oregon; and sister, Maeva S. Rish of Columbus, Ohio. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Serenity West, 37815 15th Ave., Zephyrhills. Memorials may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or the donor's choice. Arrangements are pending for interment of ashes in Ridgeway, Ohio.

KNUDSEN, Richard B., 72, of Zephyrhills, passed away Friday, August 23, 2002, at East Pasco Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one son, Richard Knudsen, Jr. and wife Barbara of Kannapolis, N.C.; a stepson, Norman F. May of Algonquin, Ill.; three daughters, Linda Zimecki and husband Bob of Herndon, Va., Laura Sutton and husband Steve of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and Lorraine Harley of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Kenneth Knudsen of Roscoe, N.Y.; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Knudson was predeceased by his first wife Helen. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., Mr. Knudsen moved to the area in 1996 from Roscoe, N.Y. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was later employed as a supervisor for the United States Government. He was of the Protestant faith; a member of the Zephyrhills Elks Lodge #2731, Moose Lodge #2276, and the Order of Eagles #3752 all in Zephyrhills. He also was a member of the Laurel Wreath Masonic Lodge #149 F&AM, and a life member of American Legion #168, both in Maryland. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

PEYTON, Amelia M., 89, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Sunday, August 25, 2002 at the Royal Oaks Hospice Care Center in Dade City. She is survived by her husband, Thomas James Peyton, Dade City, Fla.; two sisters, Caroline Tessaro, Trenton, FL, and Beatrice Phillips, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was born August 12, 1913 in McKees Rocks, Pa. Funeral services will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., with Hodges Family Funeral Home handling local arrangements.
