They are survived by their parents, Christopher and Jennifer Moreno; grandparents Sandra McCourt, Gregory Nunnally, Andrew and Marian Price, Alfred and Donna Moreno; great-grandparents, Priscilla Price and Margaret Nunnally; many loving aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held at the Apollo Beach Community Church, 11 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2002 for family and friends.

MOSELEY, Harry E. Jr., 65, of Tampa passed away peacefully August 23, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Alice Moseley; daughter, Tina Flinn; son, Ron Moseley; four grandchildren, Anthony, Katie and Michael Flinn, and Christi Maroney; a sister, Sara Tillman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was retired from I.M.C. Agrico. He did volunteer umpiring for District 13 Little League for 25 years. He was a member of University Baptist Church. Friends and family will be gathering at University Baptist, 2121 E. 131st. Ave., Tampa, Fla. September 1 at 2 p.m. for a memorial service honoring his life.

PALMER, Nancy Vanslyck, age 68, of Lakeland, died August 26, 2002 after a nine year battle with cancer. Nancy was an inspiration to everyone she touched with her life. Born December 15, 1933 in Ironwood, Michigan, Nancy graduated from Ironwood High School in 1951. She attended St. Lukes School of Nursing in Duluth, Minnesota, and covered additional coursework at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Nancy moved to Florida in 1962 and has been a Lakeland resident since 1992. Nancy worked at the Watson Clinic in South Lakeland for 15 years as patient relations specialist. Nancy has been actively involved in volunteer work as a Hillsborough County 4-H Club Leader for 10 years. She was named Outstanding 4-H Leader in 1976. She served as Elder in the Seffner Presbyterian Church and after her move to Lakeland was receptionist at the First Presbyterian Church where she was an active member. For several years Nancy led the L.I.F.E. Choices Cancer Support Group. She served on the Board of Directors of the West Polk Unit of the American Cancer Society. Nancy was the recipient of the Courage Award from the American Cancer Society in 2000 and Hero of Hope Award in 2001. She was a member of the Grasslands Golf and Country Club and the Lakeland Elks Lodge. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, Fla., at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be in the Columbarium at First Presbyterian Church on Lake Hollingsworth Drive. Nancy is survived by her loving family: husband, Wal ter; three children, Kathryn Erickson of Bishop, Calif., Kyrn Erickson and Karyl Glazebrook-Wilson, both of Lakeland, Fla.; four step-children, Janice McCormick, Karen Palmer and Tonya Palmer, all of Toronto and Michael Palmer of Calgary; five grandchildren; and her dog, Scarlett. RONK, Joseph, 57, of Holiday died Aug. 25, 2002. Survived by wife, Linda; daughter, Jo-Lynn; five step-children; mother, Hilda Rosenfeldt; three siblings; and ten grandchildren.

SCHILLING, Frederick C., 83, passed away on August 22, 2002. He is survived by two sons, Frederick C., Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Mark E. of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a daughter, Isabella Mallants of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn. Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 30 at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City, Fla. A visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, August 30 at the funeral home. He was employed for 30 years by Eastern Air Lines as a Pilot Instructor. He was a 33 degree Mason belonging to Trilby Lodge #141, the Egypt Temple Shrine, the Royal Order of Scotland, all three York Rite Bodies, the York Rite College and the Red Cross of Constantine. He was a member of the American Or chid Society, the U.S. Air Force, the 351st Bomb Group. He will be remembered for his keen wit, his wonderful personality and his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

SEAGROVES, `Conrad` Jean, 70, Col., USAF (Ret), went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2002. He graduated in 1954 from the Annapolis Naval Academy. He had an illustrious career as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force, and retired in Brandon, Florida. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons, Kenneth Seagroves, Kevin Seagroves, Scott Schekman, Ronald Schekman; his daughters, Julie Pietila, Jeanelle Harrison, Jennifer Dunn, Lori Schekman; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, Fla. Burial and military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery following the service. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. SOLOWAY, Bess, 98, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2002 in Tampa. Survivors include her daughter: Judy Lesser of Tampa; two sons: Leonard of New York City and Kurt of Atlanta; five grandchildren including her caregiver Jeffrey Lesser; and four great-grandchildren. She moved here from Cleveland, Ohio in 1997 with her late husband, Irvin. A truly special lady who will be especially missed. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon today at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. just prior to the service.

TAYLOR, Lily Buggica, of Tampa, born Dec. 14, 1921, passed away Aug. 17, 2002. She is survived by brother, Peter Buggica; and niece, Mary Ann Sola. She was loved and will be dearly missed by family and friends. There will be a memorial service 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3012 Cherry St.

TIDWELL, Lee E. Sr., 89, of Tampa passed away August 24, 2002. Survivors include his wife, Lela M. Tidwell; two sons, Lee E. Tidwell Jr. and David Tidwell; a daughter, Debbie Maine; sister, Kathleen Coggins; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Tidwell was born in Live Oak, Florida and was the owner/operator of Tidwell Cabinets. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. During World War II Mr. Tidwell served as a surveyor with The American Bureau Of Shipping in Houston, Texas . The family will receive friends at the Garden Of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave., from 11 a.m. to Noon Thursday with services at Noon with Rev. A. Cliff Frink, officiating. Interment will be private.

CARMICHAEL, Russell Leigh, Sr., 77, passed away August 21, 2002 in Zephyrhills. He moved from Westfield, Mass. to Zephyrhills in 1976. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and enjoyed woodworking and flower gardening. He was preceded in death by son, Russell L. Carmichael, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; one son, Garth; one daughter, Wanda C. Judd, all of Zephyrhills; two brothers, Phillip of Ontario, Canada and Frederic of Barre, Vt.; two sisters, Mary Fernandez of Northfield, Vt. and Sandra Voorhees of Southington, Conn.; mother-in-law, Ruth Morrie of Zephyrhills; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. Services are pending.

CROMARTIE, Lillie C., 72, of Dade City, died Friday, August 23, 2002 at her home. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Laura Mae and Willie James Thinn of Marianna, Fla.; one brother, Charles Nix of Dade City; two nephews, Leo Gray and wife, Betty of Ocala and Charles Nix and wife, Cassandra of Ocala; and a niece, Gloria Nix of Dade City. A native of Marianna, Fla., she had been a resident of Dade City for 50 years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church and had retired from the Ben Hill Griffin Citrus Company. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church with Pastor Bryant A. Fayson officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. HIMES, Jr., Asa `Peter` Edmund, 68, passed away August 25, 2002. Survived by his wife, Gail Backman Himes of Zephyrhills; a son, Peter Edmund Himes of Greenville, N.Y.; two daughters, Marybeth Chambers of West Roxbury, Mass. and Christine Chicoine of Titusville, Fla.; several grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 at Whitfield Funeral Home, with Mother Nancy Stone Farley officiating. Mr. Himes was a Korean War Veteran, and a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Veterans Organization or to the S.P.C.A. in his memory.

McINTOSH, Jr., Col. Charles Anderson, (USA Ret.), former Mayor of Dade city, beloved husband and father, respected community leader, educator, career soldier and World War II veteran, died peacefully with his family by his side Monday evening, August 26, 2002, at the Heritage Park Specialty Care Center in Dade City. He was 84. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Virginia May Lackman; two daughters, Anne Lackman McIntosh, and Susan M. Bruno and her husband Francis `Buzz` Bruno; and granddaughter, Sarah McIntosh Salzenberg; step-grandchildren, Chip Salzenberg, Crista Salzenberg and Catherine Salzenberg Prein; his sister, Sara M. Knutson and her husband, Richard; niece, Cathy K. Brown and nephew, Andy Knutson; and two great-step-grand-children. Born in Palmetto, Florida, April 9, 1918, he was raised in Dade City by his mother, the former Catherine Huckabay, whose family was well known as pioneers and leaders in the area. He attended St. Leo College Preparatory School, graduating in 1935 and was elected to the Saint Leo Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended the University of Florida from 1935 to 1938 and entered the Army in 1941, serving in the the Infantry with the V Corps during World War II. As a Major, he commanded soldiers landing on Omaha Beach, D Day, 1944. While in the war, he met his future wife, Virginia of Bradford, Ill., who was serving in the Red Cross. They married May 19, 1945 in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. In the Army Finance Corp, he served in staff and command positions as finance officer and comptroller from 1947 to 1966, In 1948 he received his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He retired from the Army June 30, 1966, as Commandant of the U.S. Army Finance School, and was awarded the U.S. Legion of Merit. From 1966 to 1976, he was Assistant Dean and head of the MBA program at Syracuse University's School of Management, receiving his MBA there in 1966. He returned to Dade City in 1976 and serve d as Associate Dean at the University of South Florida in Tampa as director of graduate studies in the College of Business Administration until 1967. He served on the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council from 1985 to 1999. In 1998, the Council honored him by renaming its most prestigious award the Charles A. McIntosh Jr. Regional Statesman Award. The American Legion Hall of Dade City was also named for him in 2000. He was mayor of Dade City from 1988-1990 and from 1992-2000. Known simply as Mayor Mac, he served on the Dade City Commission for a total of 15 years. He was board member or chairman of several community organizations including: United Way of Pasco County, Pasco County Housing Authority, the United Methodist Church, First Union National Bank of Florida (Pasco), Pioneer Florida Mu seum, and CARES Crescent Enrichment Center & Theatre project. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Kiwanis and the American Legion. The viewing will be at Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home, Dade City Chapel, Friday, Aug. 30, from 5-8 p.m The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, and graveside interment with Full military Honors at the Enterpise United Me thodist Church Cemetery, both in Dade City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to the First United Methodist Church Christian Life Center and to the CARES Crescent Enrichment Center & Theatre Project.

PETTERS, Clement E. `Clem`, 65, of Dade City, died Tuesday August 27, 2002. He was a lifelong resident born in San Antonio, Fla. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He retired as president of C.J. Petters & Sons Inc. which owned and managed citrus groves in the local area for more than 40 years. He also retired as Lt. Col. after more than 30 years with the Florida Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. Survivors include five sons, Clement Michael of Newport News, Va., Bernard Charles of Suwannee, Ga., Timothy John of St. Joseph, Fla., Dean Patrick of Cleveland, Ohio, and Major Samuel Brian, Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Lt. Col. Susan Annette Davidson of Fort Hood, Texas ; two brothers, Ernest of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Raymond of St. Joseph, Fla.; fo ur sisters, Hildegard Osbourne of Campbell, N.Y., Leona Bircher of Harrisburg, Pa., Magdeline Coverly of Williamstown, N.J., and Ruth Stewart of Hernando Fla.; and 13 grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at St. Joe Cemetery.

CURTIS, Louise Z., 91, of Lutz, Fla. passed away August 26, 2002 at her residence. Born in La Follette, Tenn., she moved to Florida in 1956 from Atlanta, Ga. She was the owner of Omi Pottery and Antique Shop of New Port Richey, a long time member of Chasco Questers #546, lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth, Harmony Chapter #25. Predeceased by husband, Edgar; she is survived by a daughter, Barbara Coto of Lutz; niece and caregiver, Ann A. Johns, Lutz, Fla.; two granddaughters, Sharon Young, Atlanta, Ga., and Holly Eckstein, Lutz, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Charles Young, III, Jean-Luc Eckstein, and Alysa Eckstein; and one great-great-grandson, Alden Young. DUCHNOWSKI, Irene, 84, of Tampa gently passed away Aug. 25, 2002, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and owned Irene's Seafood Store in Bridesburg, Pa. Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who had boundless energy and a joy for life. She is survived by her sister, Rose Kosinski of Philadelphia; son, Albert and his wife Florence; also her daughter, Millie Devereaux and her husband Joe. Irene has four granddaughters, Maria, Monica, Meredith and Megan; two grandsons, Peter and Drew; and two great-grandchildren, Erica and Noah. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in Tampa at the Rocky Creek Retirement Village Chapel on Saturday, August 31 at 8 a.m. A private interment will be held in Ruskin where she will lay beside her belo ved husband, Henry. Skipper Rodgers and his wife Tricia; one granddaughter, Christy Shepherd; one great-grandson, Joshua David Rodgers; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ennis, and grandson, David Rodgers.
