BLACK, Mary `Lula` 80 passed away September 17, 2002 in Zephyrhills. Survived by her daughter, Angie Black; and a son, Eddie Black, both of Zephyrhills; and a dearest and most beloved friend for over 50 years, Matilda Sabella of Tampa. Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2002 at the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, Tampa, Fla. (879-3964), with Rev. T.D. Leonard officiating. Lula will always be remembered and held dear to our hearts for her kindness, wit and humor. As you reflect on the way she touched your life feel relieved that she is at peace in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her son Eddie Black's care, send to Angie Black.

BRADBURY, Tammy Lee, age 45, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2002. She was a lifelong resident of the Plant City area. Mrs. Bradbury is survived by her husband and soul mate of 28 years, Wayne Bradbury of Dover; mother, Roma Lee Coleman of Dover; her grandmother, Laura Mae Whitman of Brooksville; predeceased by her father, Charles A. Coleman. Mrs. Bradbury is survived by her children of her heart, Todd Coleman, Kim Pacheco, Amanda Young, Bradley Young, Kyla Pacheco, Alyssa Snell, Aundrea Coleman, Christy Miles, Sheena Miles, Whitney Miles, Trae Ratliff, Dustin Ratliff, Hunter Benefield, Gus Bailey, Danny Bailey and numerous other family members and friends. Mrs. Bradbury was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church She was a seventeen-year employee with Summit Consulting Inc., where she was Director of Information Technology. She received her Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees from Hillsborough Community College. Mrs. Bradbury was a 1975 graduate of Plant City High School and FFA Star Farmer award winner. She was a member of the National Rifle Association, Senior Orphan Charity, Angel Gift Benefit and The Big Brothers and Sisters of Lakeland. She was a 1988 Collegiate All American, a 1992 Who's Who in American Junior Colleges, a recipient of the Dale Carnegie Outstanding Achievement award and a 2002 Liberty Regional Agency Stars Award winner. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Susan Minton, the H. Lee Moffitt staff, and the fourth floor nursing staff; and to her extended family at Summit Consulting Inc. of Lake land. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 21 from 6 to 8 at Shiloh Baptist Church of Plant City. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, W. Terrace Drive in Plant City. Reverend Joe A. Bowles and Reverend Richard Joyner will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in the Turkey Creek First Baptist Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or friends may make donations to the American Cancer Society.

BRAGG, Mary Lowe, 89, of Valrico passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2002 in Cookeville, Tenn. She is survived by three daughters, Shirley and Rev. Jerry Risinger of Valrico, Fla., Carol Alcorn and fiancee, Paul Jackson of Cookeville, Tenn., Jan and Rev. Larry Timmerman of Cleveland, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Steve and Connie Risinger, Stephanie Risinger, Andy and Jenny Alcorn, Sherry and Jerry Watson, Robert and April Alcorn, Debbie and Rev. David Sulcer, and Larry Sulcer, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Kristin Risinger, Loren Alcorn, Megan Watson, Kirsten Alcorn, Bryce Alcorn, Morgan, Meredith and Taylor Sucler. A native of Carthage, Mo. she was a longtime Tampa Bay area resident. and a member of Riverhills Church of God in Tampa. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2002. at the Riverhills Church of God, 6310 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, with Rev. Mark L. Williams and Rev. Larry Timmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

BURCH, Dennis Todd, 35, died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at his home. Born in Warrensburg, N.Y. on November 22, 1966, he was the son of the late Robert (Bob) Ray Burch of Tampa, Fla., and Carol Goulusha of Warrensburg, N.Y. Mr. Burch moved to Tampa from Warrensburg, N.Y. in 1993, was employed by ITS and previously employed by Loomis Fargo for seven years. Survivors, besides his mother, include, companion, Diana Lynn Burch of Tampa; son, Dennison Burch of Warrensburg, N.Y.; three brothers, Joseph Burch of Georgia, Adam Burch of Glen Falls, N.Y., and Steven Wood of Tampa; two sisters, April Burch and Cary Wood-Gonzalez of Tampa, Fla.; eight nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, September 21, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7 p.m.

BURNHAM, Ottie V., Mrs., 80 of Ruskin died Sept. 18, 2002. Born in Dothan, Ala. She moved to this area in 1946, she was a Baptist. Surviving Mrs. Burnham are three sons; four daughters; one brother; three sisters; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lewers Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Byram officiating, interment in Fellowship Cemetery.

CERNUDA, Evelio P., age 88, of Tampa, passed away September 17, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Cernuda was a retired Pharmacist and was owner/operator of LaCruz Pharmacy in Ybor City for over 30 years. He was a charter member, Past President and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Ybor City Rotary Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Angie Cernuda; son, Charles E. Cernuda, M.D and wife, Mary; granddaughters, Robin Cernuda Perry and husband, Will, Meredith Cernuda Echevarria and husband, David and Lindsey Cernuda; great-grandchildren, William Perry, Marshall and Stephen Echevarria and Mary Margaret Perry; and several loving nieces and nephews. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. James Harvester will officiate. Pallbearers include: Richard D. Cohen, MD, Will Perry, David Echevarria, MD, Ed McElroy, Frank and Oscar Sarabia and Sherwin Simmons. Honorary Pallbearers include the members of the Ybor City Rotary Club.

COLLINS, John. P., 45, of Spring Hill, Fla., died Saturday September 14, 2002 at his residence. Born in Rochester, N.Y., he came to this area four years ago from Tampa, Fla. He was a project draftsman at Leap Assoc. and an U.S. Army Gulf War veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, James V. and Elinore G. Collins. Survivors include his wife, Lisa; daughter, Lisa Beringer and her husband Nicholas of Brandon; daughter, Kristen M. Collins of Spring Hill; brothers, Stephen J. Collins and his wife Wanda of Tampa, Brian James Collins of Jacksonville; sisters, Sr. Janice M. Collins, FMA of N.J., Joyce-Anne Contrades and her husband, Harry of Tucson, Ariz.; his mother-in-law, Caroline Struthers of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Bryan and Brianna Beringer of Brandon; nephews, James and Adam Contrades of Tucson, Ariz.; niece, Stephanie M. Collins of Tampa; and many other loving relatives. Visitation was held Thursday at Turner Funeral Homes Spring Hill Chapel. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Father Ray O'Neill officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen J. Collins, Brian James Collins, Richard Flagg, Jr., Richard Flagg, III, Richard Harrington, Jason Harrington, Nicholas Beringer, Ken Kronenwetter, John Bilotta and Dan Keller. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. September 21, 2002 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., with interment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. HARRIS, Maudie Flowers, formerly of Durant, passed away on September 15, 2002 at her daughter's home in Trussville, Ala. She was 88 years old. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Harris Johns and husband Orvis; one granddaughter, Cindy Johns Robertson and husband Billy; two great-grandchildren, Mike and Katie Pinson and one adopted grandchild, Heather Harris. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law, and many friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 20, at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

HICKS, Doris Marie, 71 of Valrico passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2002. Doris formerly of Sudbury and Hudson, Massachusetts moved to the area two years ago and was Catholic by faith. Her husband, Roy F. Hicks, Jr., preceded her in death, in 1980. Survived by her loving family: mother, Elizabeth H. (McGlone) Almeda (92) of Marlborough, Massachusetts; daughters, Sherry Byrd McNamee (Douglas) of Valrico, Florida, with whom she lived with and Wendy E. Keymont (Shawn), of Marlborough, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, William A. and Allison L. Byrd of Valrico, Florida and Kristen A. and Nicholas J. Keymont of Marlborough, Massachusetts; niece, Valerie Almada of Waltham, Massachusetts. She had one sibling, Albert Almeda who preceded her in death. She was born in New York to the late Charles Almeda but lived most of her life and worked in the medical profession in Massachusetts. Doris lives on, through the hearts and memories of her mother, daughters, grandchildren, and niece and everyone else whose lives she touched. To your grave I always wander, the flowers I place with care, but no one knows the heartache as I turn and leave you there. God took you to his garden, he knew you needed rest. His garden must be beautiful; he only takes the best. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Association or LifePath Hospice, Tampa, Florida.

HOWELL, Edna G., 93, of Tampa, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, died September 18, 2002. She is predeceased by her husband L.H. Howell and daughter Jeanette Howell. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ragsdale and her husband A.P., and Linda Davidson, all of Tampa; grandson, Jim Ragsdale and his wife Laurie of Tampa; and granddaughter, Robin Buchanan of Huntsville, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Ragsdale, and Nicholas and Rachel Buchanan; and a sister, Mary Daehler of Ft Lauderdale. Edna was born in Swainsboro, Ga. on September 11, 1909 to Talmadge and Gertrude Black. She had two brothers, Ray and Lamar Black and sisters, Grace Knowles and Mary Daehler. The family moved to Ft Lauderdale in 1926. She married L.H. Howell owner of Broward Fruit Company in 1929. Edna was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Ft. Lauderdale until 1994 when she moved to Tampa and attended Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Fairchild Funeral Home, 299 N. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fairchild Funeral Home.

KOBIERECKI, Jerome J., of Lakeland, died Sept. 16, 2002. Survived by wife, Frances; son, Jerome; daughter, Susan Weber; one brother; one sister; and three grandchildren.

KONKOL, Evelyn, 81, of Tampa, passed away Sept. 17, 2002. She is survived by daughters, Shirley of Tampa and Margaret `Peggy` Swanson of Sitka, Alaska; and sons, Daniel of Tenn., and James and Edward of Live Oak. She joins her children, Mary Konkol Hendryx and Thomas `TK` Konkol in heaven. Her children's father, Joseph, was deceased in 1971. Evelyn's death was the result of a car accident. Evelyn was committed to people in their hour of crisis in the surgery room. She helped restore people's bodies when they were broken by disease and trauma. She not only saw her duty to the patient, but to young students entering the field. She was an example of precision and competence throughout her whole career and her doctors and colleagues respected her for this. She worked with her doctors and colleagues until called to her eternal rest. She love the earth, and all in it. She loved all animals and took care of the human in them. She was a born horticulturist. Never a spring came without a blaze of color in her gardens. Her later life brought a new talent - creating museum quality porcelain dolls. She loved all children with whom she came in touch with. All children were her grandchildre n and they will all miss her. She had 13 grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren. Her homemade delicacies will be missed by all who ate them - especially during the holidays this year. Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. with family receiving friends at 10 a.m., at the Glass Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

LINSKY, Betsy Ann, age 66, of Brandon, Fla. passed away Monday, September 16, 2002. Born in Chicago, Ill., she came to Brandon more than 30 years ago from Orlando. She is survived by her two devoted sons, and their families, Mark Linsky and his wife Miki and children, Austin and Alexandra, and Thomas Linsky and wife Sharon and daughter, Mandelyn. Betsy worked for many years at IHS in Brandon, initially in Admissions, and more recently in a Guest Relations position created specifically to capture and utilize her outgoing personality and compassionate nature. Betsy also enjoyed membership in the local PEO Sisterhood. During the illness that preceded her death, Betsy was incredibly grateful for the love, encouragement and support of her seemingly endless circle of family and friends, whose visits, phone calls, cards and prayers helped her find both comfort and strength. As a mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, `BeBe` will always be cherished for her generosity of devotion, encouragement and unyielding love. As a friend, she will be remembered for her up-beat attitude, thoughtful spirit and infectious laugh. Betsy will be dearly missed and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her. Services will be held on Friday, 3 p.m. at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church, 604 N. Valrico Road. The Rev. Stephen L. Rudacille, Rector, will officiate.

Born in Chicago, Ill. , survived in loving memory by his wife, Cecilia; son, Kenneth, III of Clinton, Miss.; three step-sons of Tampa, Robert, Michael, and Jerry; four daughters, Melissa, Patty, Christy and Cindy Kay of Dallas, Texas ; step-daughter, Eva Diane of Tampa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
