STEVENS, Ralph `Cowboy`, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; five sons; four daughters; four brothers; mother; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

VAZANELLIS, Charles `Saki`, 33, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002. Survived by wife, Maria; daughter, Kalliope; mother, Nomiki; and siblings, Denise Georgitsis, Kaliope Gianakos, George and Steve.

WARD, George L., 70, of Brandon, Fla., passed away Saturday, September 21, 2002. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kay Kay. Survivors include, his wife of 51 years, Ida; his children, daughter, Deborah Murray of Brandon; sons, Colonel Brad Ward and his wife, Dr. Janet Ward of Pennsylvania and Jeffery Ward and his wife, Anne of Valrico; six grandchildren, Christopher and Adam Murray, Andrew, Jenna, Andree and Michelle Ward; two sisters, Freda Shinkle of Colorado and Florence Tipton of Nevada; brother, Donald Ward of Colorado. George was born in Cripple Creek, Colo. August 25, 1932. He retired after 20 years of service in the Air Force, he was a Senior Master Sergeant, a veteran of Korea and Vietnam and a retired Lieutenant in the Sheriff Reserve. He was on the Board of Directors of the Latin Fiesta. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 24, 2002, 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi. The family will receive friends Monday, September 23, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stowers Brandon Chapel. Internment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. In Lieu of flowers donations to St. Francis of Assisi Church - Building Fund is requested.

ALFORD, M. Dewey, 67, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Sunday, September 22, 2002 in Lakeland, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Alford, Dade City, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tiffany Alford, and Tara A. and Steve Roenicke, Dade City, Fla.; one son, M. Dewey Alford Jr., Dade City, Fla.; one brother, Gene Alford, Dade City, Fla.; four grandchildren, Natalia, Ben, Mallory, and Aaron Alford. He was preceded in death by his son, George Alford. He was born August 24, 1935 in Dade City, Fla., to George and Gladys Alford and was a lifelong area resident. He was a Fruit Procurement Manager for Citrosuco North America Inc., and had previously owned and operated Standard Oil Stations in the Dade City area. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Hill Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday (today) from 6-8 p.m. at the Hodges Family Funeral Home.

DOUGLAS, Nellie Bell 71, passed away September 22, 2002 in Dade City. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Holloway of Dade City; three sons, Clyde, Wayne and Mike Douglas, all of Zephyrhills; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bessie Arnold of Zephyrhills. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (TODAY) at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Geiger Cemetery. Nellie was a lifelong resident of the area, a homemaker and a Pentescostal.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to New Port Richey from Miami Beach in 1981. He was a tour bus driver and of Catholic faith. Survivors include wife of 31 years, Barbara P. Grimes, New Port Richey; step-son, Troy A. Karr, Brandon; brothers, Leon Grimes, Punta Gorda, Fla. and James W. Grimes, Sacramento, Calif.; and sisters, Thelma Jean O'Neal, Woodbury, Tenn. and Pauline Robertson, Cleveland, Ohio.

HARJU, Ruben W., 76, of Bayonet Point, Florida, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at Bayonet Point Health & Rehab Center, Hudson, Florida. He was born in Copper City, Michigan and moved to Bayonet Point from Westland, Mich. in 1983. He was a quality control inspector for Massey-Ferguson Tractor Manufacturing and a Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include wife of 50 years, Leah Harju, Bayonet Point; sons, Kurt Harju, Ann Arbor, Mich., Keith Harju, Copper City, Mich. and Thomas Harju, St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughter, Joyce Tredeau, Marquette, Mich.; sister, Esther Hiltunen, Lake Linden, Mich.; and four grandchildren. Memorial service will take place in Michigan.

OGDEN, JoAnn, 63, of New Port Richey, died September 21, 2002 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. She was a Methodist and a volunteer at Lighthouse For The Blind. She is survived by two daughters, Shelly Brown and Stacy Wade, both of New Port Richey; three brothers, Bud, Ronald and Theodore Swatsworth, all of Pa.; five sisters, Shirley Johnson, Mary Tubbs, Donna McCartney, June Wisor, all of Pa. and Sandra Burke of New Port Richey; and four grandchildren.

PIERSCIONEK, Stamphia, 85, of Port Richey, Florida, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey, Florida. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Port Richey from Benton, Ky. in 1982. She was a homemaker and of Catholic faith. Survivors include step-son, Tom Pierscionek of California; niece, Sue Jordan of New Port Richey; and nephew, Ken Zawada of New Port Richey. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept, 28, 2002 at Dobies Funeral Home, Bartelt Road Chapel, Holiday.

RANDALL, Olga S., 78, of Dade City, died Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Carl W. Randall; four sons, Roy Randall, Michael Randall, Steve Randall and wife, Cindy and Timothy Randall, all of Dade City; and two grandchildren, Joshua Randall and Sarah Randall. A native of the Ukraine, she moved to Dade City in 1950. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens with Father Anastasije giving graveside rites. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday (today) at the funeral home.

WILSON, Doris D., 84, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday September 22, 2002. She was born in Johnsonville, New York and moved here in 1978 from Fair Haven, New York. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Eastern Star, New York as well as the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Zephyrhills, Survivors include her husband, LeRoy; two sons, David Davis of Meridian, N.Y. and Daniel Davis of Auburn, N.Y.; two daughters, LeAnne Schneckloth of Davenport, Iowa and Laurel Loene of Syracuse, N.Y.; a sister, Janet Williams of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren.

Angle; sons, Mark and wife, Pam, Gary and wife, Connie, Dewel Jr., Michael and wife, Robin, Joseph and wife Jennifer; daughters, Virginia Brinn and husband, Chester and Lori Ledlow-Andrew and husband, Christopher; sister-in-law, Wilma Newburn and husband Ken; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2002, in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

BARTLEY, JoAnn, 74, of Tampa, passed away on September 21, 2002 under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Indianapolis, Ind., she came to the Tampa area in 1960. She was a Methodist and a Homemaker. She is survived by Kermit Bartley, her beloved husband of 55 years. She is also survived by he two sons, Michael R. Bartley of Huntington, W.Va. and Donald L. Bartley of Palmetto; her daughter, Barbara Jo Thomas of Tampa; her sister, Betty Minnick of Bainbridge, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering at the family home on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LifePath Hospice.

BAUERS, James Ronald `Biggg`, 63, of Davenport, Fla., passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Jan; two sons, Michael James Bauers of Atlanta, Ga. and Tom Bauers of Valrico; daughter, Laurie Moan of N. Kingston, R.I.; two brothers, John Bauers of Rockford, Ill. and Joe Bauers of Champagne, Ill.; sister, Pat Schmidt of Coarsgold, Calif.; and five grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Valrico. Entombment will follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd. with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

BREWER, Ethol W., age 95 of Tampa passed away Monday, September 23, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley and daughter, Susanne. She is survived by her sons, David Brewer of Tampa and Bill Brewer of Wesley Chapel; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brewer was born in Mainesburg, Pa., and moved to Tampa in 1955. She was a member of the Bayshore Baptist Church. A Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wedensday, September 25, 2002 at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

COX, Jesse W., Chief Master Sgt., USAF Retired, 79, of Tampa, died Monday September 23, 2002 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Helen Cox; a half brother, Junior Baldwin of Washington , N.C. and a brother, Millard Cox of Durham, N.C. Born in Bath, N.C, he moved to this area in 1967 from the Panama Canal Zone. He retired in 1971 after serving 32 years in the Air Force. He was a member of the Egypt Temple Shrine, the American Legion, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, Sept. 26, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

DALE, Betty E., 82, passed away on September 18, 2002, at home in Tampa, Fla. under the loving care of her daughter and LifePath Hospice. Born in Jackson County, Ohio, she moved to this area in 1957. She was a member of the Calvary Church of the Open Bible, and an Insurance Claims Adjuster. She is survived by her son, James Dale; daughter, Nancy Pauline; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be September 26, 2002 at 12 Noon with services to follow at 1 p.m., both at Calvary Church of the Open Bible.

ENLOW, Josephine L., 78, formerly of Tampa, passed away on Sept. 22, 2002 in Sun City Center. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, she moved to Tampa when she was just 9 months young. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Harold T. Enlow; two daughters, Sharon L. Forrester of Atlanta, Georgia and Carol Ann Saunders of Bartow; two sons, Harold T. Enlow, Jr. of Seffner, and T. Howard Enlow of Odessa; three sisters, Wilma Hensel of Sun City Center, Gladys Knight and Elda Mangan, both of Tampa; brother, Edward Hensel of Young Harris, Georgia; and three grandchildren. A Funeral Mass for the Repose of her Soul will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Austin Mullin as celebrant. Interment rites will be held prior at 9:30 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

FERNANDEZ, Fernando, 89, a long time resident of Temple Terrace, joined his wife of 51 years, Lenora, on Saturday, September 21, 2002. Mr. Fernandez was proudly employed at Publix on 53rd St. and Fowler Avenue. He was lovingly referred to as `Mr. Publix.` He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Corpus Christi Council. Survivors include his son, Daniel and his wife, Beverly; daughter, Nora Fernandez Wessling and husband, Kenneth; grandsons, Jeffrey D. Fernandez and wife, Chrissy, Peter V. Fernandez and wife, Jacqueline, Eric D. Wessling and wife, Elizabeth and Sean M. Wessling; granddaughter, Lisa Wessling Payne and husband, Jim; great-grandson, Alex J. Fernandez; brother, Ignacio Fernandez of Puerto Rico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Fernandez, Peter Fernandez, Eric Wessling, Sean Wessling, Jim Payne and Reggie Sedita. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 12:00 p.m., at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with interment following at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. FETTE, George T., 80, of Brandon, Fla., passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2002. He is survived by a son, Thomas A. Fette; two daughters, Rolaine F. Smoot and Georgette T. Fette; a brother, John F. Fette; two sisters, Cecilia Sullivan and Agnes Lyman; three grandchildren, Samantha Smoot, Ian Smoot and Alan C. Fette. He was a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay Area and worked for Central Truck Lines for 30 years and as a Tampa Theater projectionist for 30 plus years. He was decorated World War II Navy Veteran and a member of Local Union No. 321 Iatse.

Daughter, sister, wife and mother, loved by all, she is survived by son, Thomas J. Favale and his wife, Dalila Favale; grandsons, Tommy Jr., Joseph, Michael and Steven; sister, Ana L. Freire; nieces and nephews, Elsa M. Bosch, James and Ada E., Iris M., Javier and Nilsa Rivera, Joycelin and Javier, Jr., Luis, Danilo and Kariane, and Julio, Evelyn and Leo. You will always be in our hearts.

A 53 year resident of Tampa, she is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jimmy Garrett; daughters, Janice Ahrens of West Palm Beach, Debbie Hughes and husband, Paul of West Palm Beach, Robin Rahn and husband, Travis of Plant City and Leann Garrett of Tampa; and five grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Gregory, Ashley and Garrett. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She volunteered weekly at the Children's Cancer Research Center, was a nurse, pilot and loved to travel. She will be greatly missed by family and friends, and cherished in our hearts forever. Memorial services will be conducted at Marsicano Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd, Tampa (289-4229), on Wednesday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. She worked at HRS for 10 years. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 26,2002 at 2 p.m. in the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Elder Jerry A.
