WARD, George L., 70, of Brandon, Fla., passed away Saturday, September 21, 2002. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kay Kay. George was born in Cripple Creek, Colo. August 25, 1932. He retired after 20 years of service in the Air Force, he was a Senior Master Sergeant, a veteran of Korea and Vietnam and a retired Lieutenant in the Sheriff Reserve. He was on the Board of Directors of the Latin Fiesta. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 24, 2002, 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi. Born in Bath, N.C, he moved to this area in 1967 from the Panama Canal Zone. He retired in 1971 after serving 32 years in the Air Force.
