LaCHANCE, Marcella R., 39, of Tampa passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2002 at Tampa General Hospital. She is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Danielle Renee; a son Dakota James; her mother, Edith Cotter; a brother, Stephen Cotter and her close lifetime friend, Tina Mitchell. She was employed at TECO as an administrative coordinator. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Mark III Funeral Home South Tampa Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow services at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

LEWIS, William `Billy`, 33, of Valrico, passed away September 21, 2002. He was a Baptist and a life long resident of the Tampa area. He is survived by his son, William `Andy` Andrew Lewis; his beloved life-partner of six years, Dale A. Ray of Valrico; his father and step-mother, William and Ginger Lewis of Mulberry; his mother and step-father, Sheila and Paul Williams of Thonotosassa; his maternal grandmother, Ester Tiesler of Zephyrhills; three brothers, Michael Lewis of Plant City, Danny Lewis of Ocala and Brian Creed of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters, Cathy Guilliams of Mulberry and Pamela Burgess of Thonotosassa; many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Visitation for Mr. Lewis will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home with services to follow Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon. LUMLEY, John M. `Jack`, age 92, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth B. Lumley. He is survived by his son, John M. Lumley, Jr. and wife, Debbie; two grandchildren, Johnny and Lindsey. He was a Lutheran and a member of Hillsborough Lodge No. 25 F. & A. M. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 25, 2002 from 6-8 p.m.

MANNY, Alice Ellen, 70, of Oldsmar, Florida, died Saturday, Sept, 21, 2002 at Tampa, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida. She was born in Sherman, Ill. and moved to Oldsmar from Gurnee, Ill. in 1964. She was Co-owner/operator at Land Ho of Tampa Bay. She was Past President Wesley Girls, Community UMC, member of Top of the Bay Garden Club in Oldsmar, the Oldsmar Cultural Arts Foundation and the Community United Methodist Church of Oldsmar. Survivors included husband of 51 years, Edward (Ed) Manny of Oldsmar; sons, Floyd Manny of Jacksonville and Bruce Manny of Tampa; brother, Thomas W. Shirley of Prospect Heights, Ill.; cousin, Shirley Heller of Carlinville, Ill.; grandsons, Justin Manny and Afton Manny, both of Jacksonville; and granddaughter, Sara Manny of Jacksonville. Friends may call at Holloway Funeral Home, 112 Bayview Blvd., Oldsmar, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Community United Methodist Church, 207 Buckingham Avenue, East, Oldsmar. MILLER, Kenneth William, Jr., 72, died September 18, 2002. Born in Chicago, Ill. , survived in loving memory by his wife, Cecilia; son, Kenneth, III of Clinton, Miss.; four daughters, Melissa, Patty, Christy and Cindy Kay of Dallas, Texas ; three step-sons of Tampa, Robert, Michael, and Jerry; step-daughter, Eva Diane of Tampa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MILLING, Robert L., 60, of Seffner, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2002 at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. A native of Tampa, he retired from the construction industry and he was a 37 year member of I.U.O.E., Local #925. He was also a member of G.W.R.R.A. and F&AM Brandon Lodge #114. He served in the US Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Patricia; son, Robert, Jr. and wife, Dawn; daughter, Marline Alexander and husband, Kevin; two sisters, Linda Whetsell and Dee Thompson; and brother, Ralph Santiago. MOFFITT Charles `Chuck` E., Sr., 74 of Tampa, passed away September 22, 2002 in Tampa. Survivors include his wife, Carmen S. Moffitt; daughters, Shaela Moffitt, Linda Bussard and Melissa Antrican; sons, Chuck, Jr., David and Joseph Moffitt; sister, Edna Vicars; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Moffitt family. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 25, 2002 at the Blount, Curry & Roel Armenia Chapel, 4730 N. MORGAN, Keith Haskell, born October 16, 1910, died Saturday, September 14, 2002 in Belleville, Ill. A native Floridian, Mr. Morgan lived in Tampa for many years before moving to St. Louis, Mo. in 1962. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (nee Dockery) in 1981 and his sister, Alline E. Miller in 1999. Surviving Mr. Morgan is a son, Keith H. (Shirley) Morgan. Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Kay H. (William) MacIntire of Millstadt, Ill.; a step-son, Digby W. Sanger of Belleville, Ill.; a brother, Elton W. (Sue) Morgan of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter, Mary E. MacIntire; two grandsons, Kyle W. (Debbie) Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kirk H. (Lauranne) Morgan of Pensacola, Fla.; three great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Morgan donated his body to Washington University in conjunction with the Memory and Aging study. He requested that there be no services. NELSON, Gladys, of Lakeland, died on September 19, 2002 at the age of 79. Survived by one sister, Aileen Thompson of Lakeland.

OWERS, George Roy, 72, of Camarillo, Calif., passed away peacefully at Pleasant Valley Hospital on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 of congestive heart failure. George was born June 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan and was a resident of Tampa, Florida for 26 years moving here from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a member of Delta-Chi fraternity at the University Michigan and also served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955. George was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church and a Greeter at Wal Mart. He was Deputy Director of the Tampa, Florida Parks and Recreation District for six years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Owers; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Don Narhi of Camarillo, Carol and Mike Boehnke of Mansfield, Texas ; daughter, Janet Hill of Brandon, Florida; six grandchildren, Erik, Liisa, Megan, Kristine, Randy and Crystal; and mother, Margaret Alice Stewart of Tampa. Memorial service will be held Monday, September 30, 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 3714 W. Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Habitat for Humanity. POORE, Gregory Jay, 40, of Tampa, died September 21, 2002 at Tampa General. Born in Washington D.C., he moved to Tampa in 1988 from Maryland. He is survived by his father, Colan L. Poore; and sisters, Colleen Hendley of Winchester, Va., and Cherie Poore of Lakewood, Wash. A Memorial Service will be held at Florida Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

PRATER, Ronald J., 35, of Brandon, passed away September 21, 2002. Mr. Prater was a Catholic and lived in the Brandon area since 1983. A veteran of the US Army and a member of the United States Army Reserves. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Prater Sr. He is survived by his mother, Carina Prater of Brandon; two brothers, Kenneth Prater of Tampa and Vincent of Brandon; three sisters, Cynthia Prater of Valrico, Lisa Walton of Garland, Texas and Pamela Prater of Boston, Mass. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with services following Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home entombment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

SHEA, Joseph Don, 88, a resident of Tampa, joined his beloved wife of 59 years, Anna Rose, on Saturday, September 21, 2002 after a long illness. Survivors include, his daughter, Joanne Shea Spencer and her husband, Tim of St. Petersburg; his son, Don Shea, Jr. and his wife, JoAnn of Valrico; granddaughters, Juanna Shea Noriega and husband, Albert of Valrico, Terri Redmon and husband, Lonnie of Canton, Ga., Donna Shea Denhoff and husband, Aaron of Brandon and Candace Pendry of St. Petersburg; grandson, Christopher Spencer of St. Petersburg; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Shea was retired from the U.S. Post Office and Shea and Prange Pharmacy. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa and a veteran of the U.S. Army. A wake service will be held at Stowers Brandon Chapel Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at 7 p.m. with Monsignor Laurence Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is survived by two daughters, Lillian Duffy and her husband, John of Valrico, Fla. and Charlotte Melkonian and her husband, Norman of Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren, John Duffy, Michael Duffy and his wife, Beth, Gregory Duffy and Peter Duffy and his wife, Stephanie; and three great-grandchildren, Peter, Laura and Christopher. A native of Beirut, Lebanon. She lived in the area since 1988 coming from New York. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 25, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stowers Brandon Chapel. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; sons Jeff, Jimmy, Charles, Jerry and Jason; daughters Gena, Leigh-Ann, Rhonda and Suzanna; brothers Robert, David, James and Michael; mother, Mabel Stevens; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. VALENTIN, Angel M., age 46, of Tampa, passed away September 21, 2002. A native of New York City, N.Y., Mr. Valentin was a resident of Tampa for the past two months. Survivors include his daughter, Gina Valentin; father, Angel Valentin Figueroa; grandson, Christopher; brothers, Miguel Valentin and Jose Lugo; and sisters, Minerva and Migdalia.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Alford, Dade City, Fla.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tiffany Alford, and Tara A. and Steve Roenicke, Dade City, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, M. Dewey and Susie Alford Jr., Dade City, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Alford, Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Gene Alford, Dade City, Fla.; and fourgrandchildren, Natalia, Ben, Mallory, and Aaron Alford. He was preceded in death by his son, George Alford. He was born August 24, 1935 in Dade City, Fla., to George and Gladys Alford and was a lifelong area resident. He was a Fruit Procurement Manager for Citrosuco North America Inc., and had previously owned and operated Standard Oil Stations in the Dade City area. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (today) at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Hill Gardens Mausoleum.
