FORD, John W., passed away September 23, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Ford was born December 11, 1929 in Harrod, Ohio. He worked at the Ford Motor Company, where he retired after 30 years, and he was also a farmer. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Post #1533 at Indian Lake and a member of the Indian Lake Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ford of Zephyrhills; three sons, Tim (Sherri) Ford of Ottawa, Ohio, Tom (Sandy) Ford of Roundhead, Ohio and Tony (Marlene) Ford of Roundhead, Ohio; one step-son, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Nutter of Waterford, N.Y.; three daughters, Susan Ford of Roundhead, Ohio, Shirley Castle of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Sandra Ford of Lima, Ohio; two step-daughters, Michelle (Scott) LaRose of Stuarts Draft, Virginia and Heidi (Steven) Lovaas of Ft. Collins, Colorado; two sisters, Donna Reese and Judy (Phillip) Lane, all of Lima, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ford and first wife, Nellymae Hites. Services will be held Friday, September 27, 2002 (today) at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

HOKE, Daniel H. Jr., 70, of New Port Richey, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. He was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and moved to New Port Richey from Lebanon, Pa. in 1973. He was a carpenter and a member of Fellowship Wesleyan Church, Spring Hill. Survivors include wife, Mary Hoke of New Port Richey; sons, Daniel H. Hoke, III of Jonestown, Pa., Vernon L. Hoke, Sr. of New Port Richey and Gary L. Hoke, Sr. of New Port Richey; sister, Gloria Weber of Palmyra, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until service begins at 7 p.m. at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes, Hudson Avenue Chapel, Hudson.

JENKINS, Jr. Richard Nelson, 75, of Lutz, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at East Pasco Care Center in Dade City. He was born in Scituate, Mass., and moved to Lutz from Granby, Conn., in 1976. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a Little League Coach, active with Boy Scouts and an avid camper. He was a shop teacher for the Bloomfield, Conn. School System. He is survived by four sons, Billy, Gary, Brian, Kevin; one daughter, Wendy Van de Bogart; one brother, James; two sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Schoepflin, Carol Coyle; and four grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Paradise Lakes.

MARTELLOW, Joseph, 79, of New Port Richey, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care center, New Port Richey. He was born in Bronx, New York and moved to New Port Richey from Fairlawn, N.J. in 1987. He owned J-Ann Apparel Co., New York City, N.Y. for 26 years; a Navy Veteran of World War II; of the Catholic faith; and a member of Garment Workers Union Local 89-22-1. Survivors include sons, Joseph A. Martello of N. Eastham, Mass. and Christopher M. Martello of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.; daughters, Nancy C. Miles of Jackson, Pa., Joanne Meyers of Baton Rouge, La. and Marian E. Makrilos of Pine Brook, N.J.; step-son, Steven Laylieu of New Port Richey; step-daughter, Stella Laylieu of New Port Richey; and eight grandchildren.

MONROE, Maxwell, age 84, of Zephyrhills, passed away September 25, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Edith; one son, Joe of Crystal River; one daughter, Marilyn White of Winfield, Alabama; and three grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Dade City.

SHANHOLTZ, William `Billy` E., 71, of Bayonet Point, passed away Sept. 25, 2002. Born in Augusta, W.Va., he moved here 19 years ago from Winchester, Va. He was a retired press operator for Apex Corp. in Winchester after 29 years of service. He was Methodist and a member of the Union Local #149 in Winchester. Mr. Shanholtz is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; two sons, Michael Shanholtz of Florida and Gary Shanholtz of Harrisonburg, Va.; daughter, Linda Wolfrey of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Larry Shanholtz and Gay Shanholtz, both of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; one sister, Adine Wolfard of Augusta, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services and Burial will be is West Virginia.

VALMASSOI, Fulvio Carl `Val`, 75, passed away September 22, 2002 in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Irene Valmassoi of Zephyrhills; three sons, Alan Valmassoi of Valrico, Dino Valmassoi and David Valmassoi, both of Zephyrhills; a daughter, Carole Farris of Clermont, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. Service times will be announced at a later date. Mr. Valmassoi was born March 11, 1927 in Yukon, Pa. and came to this area 15 years ago from Michigan. He was a Veteran of the Army serving in Korea and a toolmaker for Ford Automobile Company. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

WATSON, Milton Francis, 73, passed away September 21, in Dade City. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Watson of Dade City; five daughters, Marcella Eldridge of Maine, Denise Watson of Palm Harbor, Regina Curley of Ft. Lauderdale, Michelle Moelhman of Missouri and Nadine Manca of New York; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Mr. Watson was born April 13, 1929 in Yonkers, New York and came to Dade City two years ago, after living in Zephyrhills for seven years and formerly from Plant City. He was a Catholic, an Airline Security Manager and a former Deputy US Marshall in New York City, before coming to Florida.

WHITE, Harold E. 82, of Hudson, Florida, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved here from Olney, Md. 12 years ago. He was a contractor and a US Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include wife of 62 years, Elaine White of Hudson; son, Harold E. White, Jr. of Rockville, Md.; daughters, Dorothy Bowman of St. Petersburg, Elizabeth Holton of Thurmont, Md. and Janis Capone of Hudson; sister, Dorothy Knoll of California; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. ARTHUR, Arnold E., 58, of Wesley Chapel, passed away Sept. 24, 2002 at home. He is survived by his wife, Arlene L. Arthur. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, New Port Richey. A fellowship gathering will be from 3-4 p.m. prior to services.

BALDACCI, Venerio, G., 81, of Tampa, passed away Sept. 26, 2002. He served in the US Navy during World War II and is survived by his loving wife and family.

BOYD, Margaret, 88, retired from the Florida State Board of Nursing, died of a stroke on September 9, 2002, at At Home With Friends in Tampa, where she resided the last three years. Mrs. Boyd was born in Blossburg, Pa., October 16, 1913. She graduated from he Arnot Ogden Hospital School of Nurses, Elmira, N.Y., in 1940 and received a Masters from Columbia University, NYC. In the early '40's she was an Army Reserve Nurse posted in Camp Rucker, Ala. She was, at that time, married to Robert Carl Boyd, also in the Army on the same Post. Her professional life included working in the Public Health Dept. in Cartersville, Ga., in nursing administration in hospitals in Atlanta and Augusta, Ga., and as Director of Nursing Service at both Spartanburg General Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C., and Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira, N.Y. in the '60's and early 70's, she was Hearing Officer and Coordinator of Licenses and Investigations for the Florida State Board of Nursing in Jacksonville and later had positions with the South Carolina State Board of Nursing in Columbia, S.C. and the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing in Madison, Wis. She retired from the nursing profession in 1977 and returned to Florida, living a couple of years in Lakeland and then settling in Tampa in 1979. Survivors include one daughter, Dotti Stone of Northern Virginia,; one son, James Boyd of North Georgia; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BULLARD, Rosa Lee, of Tampa, died September 22, 2002. Survivors include daughter, Nadine Seay (Douglas); four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

De La PARTE, Angel, Jr., age 77, of Tampa passed away Thursday, September 26, 2002 to be with his beloved wife, Mary in Heaven. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was founder of A & A Electric Company in Tampa. Angel was a World War II Navy Veteran. He is survived by his son, Andy De La Parte and his wife, Naida; daughter, Marilyn and husband, Bruce Talcott; brother, Gene and wife, Marion; sister-in-law, Sara and husband, Joe Yglesias; grandchildren, Tommy, Angeline, Regina and Angel; with a host of several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 30, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 15520 North Blvd. with Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pall Bearers include Andy, Gene, Eddie De La Parte, Bruce and Tommy Talcott, Joe Yglesias with Honorary Pall Bearer Joey Yglesias. Family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. with Recitation of the Catholic Wake Rite Service at 3:30 p.m. Family requests contributions be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 15520 N. Blvd., Tampa or Lutz Volunteer Fire Department, 129 Lutz Lake-Fern Rd., Lutz, FL 33549 in his memory.

FRANZONE, Mary, age 92, of Tampa, passed away September 24, 2002. A native of Tampa, Mrs. Franzone lived in Chicago, Ill. for 40 years and returned to Tampa in 1980 after her husband, James Franzone passed away. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Nora Ferrera and Frances Filippello; and brothers, Tom and Peter Midulla. Survivors include her sister, Elsie Suarez; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 12 noon at Gonzalez Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in L'Unione Italiana Mausoleum. She is survived by her daughter, Julia Hall (Sandy); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of loving and devoted cousins, nieces and nephews.

GRUNSTEN, Colleen S., 80, of Sun City Center, died Monday, September 23, 2002. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 19, 1921 to parents, Lillian and William Stevens. Her Florida residency began at Cape Coral in 1962 where she owned and operated a restaurant with her husband, Chester, who also died earlier this year. She is survived by her sons, Bruce and Todd; and her grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan-Ashley. Truly one of our Lord's gentlest souls, she will be loved and remembered always.

GUZMAN, Zenaida C. DeLara, 92, passed away September 24, 2002 in Tampa. She was born in Key West and had moved to the area as a child. She retired from the Hillsborough County Schools. She is survived by three daughters, Lucia DeLara McKinney of Tampa, Katie DeLara Herrick and husband, William of Tampa and Dora Libed of California; four grandchildren, Richard and Nicholas Minjarez and Brian and Joseph Herrick; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

HORN, Verna Mary, age 81, of Plant City, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2002. Mrs. Horn was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. She is predeceased by her son, James Horn. Survivors include her husband, Robert Elmer Horn; four sons, Robert S. Horn of Tampa, William M. Horn of Plant City, John C. Horn of Plant City and Richard B. Horn of Santa Maria, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanne M. Donnelly of Bradenton and Barbara A. Horn of Plant City; sister, Ruby Bouhl of Rantoul, Illinois; and 11 grandchildren. HUDNELL, Carl B. Jr., `Pookie`, 42, died on Sept. 21, 2002 in Sarasota, Fla. doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle. Born in Baltimore, Md., Carl `Pookie` Hudnell moved to Florida in 1996. He was a licensed Fork-Lift driver. His passion for music lead him to become a successful musician. Carl felt he was blessed and strive to give back, so his purpose was to touch others and share life experiences. He is survived by two daughters, Calliope Hudnell and Ashley Hudnell; one son, Kim White; fiancee, Kathleen Millikin; his mother, Zelene Hudnell; and two sisters, Lillian O'Neill Dunning and Carol Hudnell. He also leaves behind a large extended loving family. Predeceased by his father, Carl B. Hudnell, Sr. and his two brothers, Francis `Wampie` Nell and Kenneth `Pee Wee` Nell. HUSKEY, Roberta Buchan, died September 19, 2002 at White Oaks Personal Care Home, Cochran, Georgia. The daughter of Robert Gilbert Buchan and Ida Mae Barbee Buchan, she was born July 15, 1916 in Pembroke, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of Plant City, Florida, a homemaker, an avid golfer and attended First Methodist Church, Plant City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Huskey of Ft. Pierce, Florida; sisters Leola Alford, Nita Miller, Julia Simmons, Ruth Buchan and Marjorie Cooper; and brother, Homer Buchan. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jackie Haynsworth Wilson of Cochran, Georgia and daughter, Janice Haynsworth Roberts and her husband, Kelly C. Roberts of Dublin, Georgia; sisters, Helen B. Carlton of Plant City, Florida and Winnie B. Higbe of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Robert J. Buchan of Bradenton Beach, Florida; granddaughters, Gretchen Wilson-Tuck and her husband, Jeff and Pam Roberts Urquhart and her husband, Mike, all of Cochran; and grandsons, Todd H. Wilson of Roddy, Georgia and Webb R. Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren Britton Tuck, Bailey Tuck, Regan Urquhart, all of Cochran and Jada Wilson of Roddy, Georgia; six nie ces, nine nephews and their children; and her many friends.
