A native of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, she was a Realtor for Rim Realty in Spring Hill, a member of the SPCA and the Humane Society of Spring Hill, Fla., a member of the National Business Women's Association and the Hernando County Board of Realtors. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Norman Marcus of Spring Hill, Fla.; a son, Richard Markus of Country Club Hills, Illinois; a daughter, Sherri Moore of Hudson, Fla.; a brother, Owen Hillier Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Ethel DeValk of Spring Hill, Fla.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. SETSER, Kenneth Eugene, age 63, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2002. Mr. Setser is survived by his wife, Sharon of Zephyrhills; three sons, Ronnie Setser and his wife Kim of Tampa, Kent Setser and his wife Amy of Zephyrhills, and Clint Setser of Zephyrhills; two daughters, Rhonda Lange of Tampa, and Bonnie Setser and partner Gail VanAntwerp of St. Petersburg; mother, Louise Setser of Zephyrhills; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and loving family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2002 at 4 p.m. and services will begin at 5 p.m. at Kelly Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Brady officiating.

ANGELOS, John Jr., died suddenly of heart failure in Portland, Ore., on Sept. 10, 2002 at age 50. Memorial Service to be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at Grace Place, 250 Mountain Ave, Berthoud, Colo. He was born on July 1, 1952 in Loveland Colo., served in the U.S. Special Forces, was a Martial Arts enthusiast and a contract computer programmer most recently employed by Franklin Templeton Investments. Survivors include his wife, Sally Blinn of Tampa; parents, John and Estelle Angelos of Roseburg, Ore.; sisters, Sally Hedger and Tasia Tyler of Loveland, Colo.; and brother, Cris Angelos of Pueblo, Colo. Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association, Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, 61 Broadway NY, NY 10006.

BAKER, Charles M., `Chuck`, 80, of Paw-Paw, Ill., passed away October 1, 2002. a resident of Tampa since 1944 and a World War II veteran, he joined the Tampa Police Dept. in 1946 and sailed the oceans as a Merchant Mariner completing two careers. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret; three sons, Wes, Mick and Derrell; three grandsons, Russell, Nick and Kevin; and two nephews, Tim and Donny. Donations may be made to LifePath hospice in his memory. Private memorial services will be at a later date.

BEATE, Steven J. `Jack`, 53, of West Melbourne, passed away Oct. 2, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Linda. He was a former Hillsborough County Deputy and Marine Corps veteran.

A native of Santiago de las Vegas, Cuba and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Escobio is survived by his wife, Ondina Escobio; son, Martin Armando Escobio and wife Janice; daughter, Norma Escobio and husband Sergio Trespando; and six grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning at 11 o'clock at Sunset Memory Gardens. EXTER, Mort M. `Woody`, 76, of Tampa Palms, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; sons, Alan and Jeffrey; and three grandchildren. Born in New York City, he served in the US Navy from 1943-1946 and spent his career in the lumber business in New York and Florida. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at C.E. Prevatt Funeral Home, 9750 N. 56 St., Temple Terrace. FULLER, Verbie M., age 90, of Plant City passed away on Friday, October 4, 2002. Mrs. Fuller was a member of the Church of Christ. She is predeceased by her husband, Bailey Fuller. Survivors include her son, James C. Fuller and his wife Julia of Plant City; grandson Darryl Fuller and his wife Beth of Columbiana, Alabama; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Fuller. The family will receive friends on Monday at 10 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Gary Ogden officiating. Interment will be at Socrum Cemetery, in Kathleen, Florida. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

GIORGIANNI, Mary Biondolillo, 94, of Tampa, died Mon., Oct. 1, 2002. Survived by a loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. HARDMAN, Martha Craig Hedrick, passed away on Oct. 2, 2002, in Chapel Hill, N.C. Born in Lexington, N.C., in 1927, she moved with her family to Tampa, Fla. in the early 1930's. She attended Plant High School, Breneau College, FSU, UNC, and graduated from USF as a late in life student. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority; The Junior League of Tampa; and Town and Gown of USF, serving as President. She was actively involved with the Lowry Park Zoo, The Tampa Museum of Arts, Museum of Science and Industry, and St. John's Episcopal Church where she served on the altar guild. She was an accomplished artist and avid reader. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, L. Ed Hardman; two children, daughter Laura Irvin, Chapel Hill, N.C., and son, Larry Hardman and wife, Karen, Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Joan McKay and husband, Howell; grandchildren, Ben Irvin, Beth Irvin and Katelin Hardman; nephew, John McKay and his wife, Trish; and niece Hedy Bever and her husband, Jay. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. Oct. 14, 2002. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UNC Hospice, PO Box 1077, Pittsboro, NC 27312, or to St. John's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of the Carolinas, Raleigh, N.C.

JONES, Dessie, 99, of Mishawaka, Ind., and Tampa, died Oct. 1, 2002. She is survived by daughter, Juanita Reinhart of Tampa; and son, Kenneth Jones of Lake Placid.

KUGLIN, Lillian Ann, 84 years of age, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2002. She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Koehler and husband Jeff; son, Fred Kuglin and wife Karin; five grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Sigmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was an active member of her church and a lifelong practicing Catholic. Lillian became a member of the League of Women Voters, BPW and once volunteered in numerous church and school organizations. Lillian loved her family and beloved husband, Fred, who passed away last year. Her family loves her and will miss her dearly, but will rejoice that she entered the Kingdom of God. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9724 Cross Creek Blvd., Tampa, FL 33647. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

LEVERETT, James M., 62, of Riverview, Fla., died Oct. 1, 2002 at his residence. He retired from the US Army after serving in the Viet Nam War. Survivors include two daughters, Scarlett Adams and Tracy Leverett; five brothers, Jack, Robert, David, West and Elmer; six sisters, Shirley Elliot, Rosealee Hamilton, Sheila Davis, Ashley Rust, Bernice Matassinni and Debra Evans; and three grandchildren, Amber Adams, Chazz Adams and Julia Leverett. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 7, 2002 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. with Pastor West Leverett officiating. Interment with military Honors will be at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. MANSELL, Bert R., age 90, of Turkey Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2002. Mr. Mansell was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County. Survivors include his wife, Dollie of Turkey Creek; three sons, Ronald Mansell and Lwane Mansell, both of Turkey Creek, and Dennis Mansell of Lakeland; one daughter, Betty Tower of Plant City; two sisters, Cecil Godwin of Dover and Ollie Fernandez of Tampa; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2002 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. Services will be on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

MEJIA, Luis, 57, died Thursday, October 3, 2002 in Plant City. He was a native of Mexico and had lived in the Plant City area since 1973. He was a farmer and a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Lydia; two sons, Jose Luis and Elias; three daughters Patricia Perez, Evangelina Lopez, and Maria Mejia; six brothers, Ramon, David, Porfirio, Manuel, Jose Maria, and Heriberto; two sisters, Irene Conteras and Maria Del Refujio Mejia; and three grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 7, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Monsalve as officiant.

MICHALS, Stella, 92, of Odessa, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002. Born in Warsaw, Poland, she came to the U.S. at the age of two years. She moved to Odessa from Michigan in 1940. She and her husband, Walter, operated a citrus grove which is still in operation. Survivors include two daughters, Irene Love of Odessa and Wanda Peterson of Princeton, N.J.; five grandchildren, Michael Fahrenkopf of Jacksonville, Susan McClure of Glendale, Ariz., Kirsten Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Erik Peterson of Merrimack, N.H., and Zoe Ward of Chester, N.J.; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Gould, Denise Jones and Tommy Love of Plant City; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial services at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at Blount, Curry & Roel Carrollwood Chapel, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.

MURRAY, Darlene, 43, of Plant City, entered into rest on October 4, 2002. She was a Registered Nurse, a Baptist, and a loving daughter, mother, and friend. She is survived by her parents, Albert and Nova Flowers; daughter, Christina Murray; brothers, Dean and Scott Flowers; and sister, Wanda Willis. Visitation will be on October 7, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. with services to follow October 8 at 10 a.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

MUSICH, Joseph Albin, 80, passed away Oct. 3, 2002. He is survived by a daughter, Denise Locke; brother, Frank; sisters, Bertha Lamotte and Agnes; grandchildren, Ryan and Deanna Locke; great-grandchild, Robbie Locke. Services were held at Florida National Cemetery.

SANFORD, Elizabeth L. `Betty`, age 77, of Tampa, Fla. and formerly of Wakefield, Mass., and Manchester, Conn., died on Friday, September 27, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. `Jack`. Betty worked as an executive assistant until her retirement in Connecticut. She was talented with cake decorating and stained glass. Survivors include her daughter, Liane Sanford of Waltham, Mass.; her son, Robert and his wife Denise of Salem, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Wesley and Samantha. A private family service will be held at a later date in Lee, N.H.

STATHAS, Joseph Allen, Sr., age 79, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at James Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Fla. He is survived by three sons, R.G. Stathas and his wife, Jeannie of Sarasota, Fla., Joseph A., Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Ocala, Fla. and Allen and his wife Patsy of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Lynn Ann Lane and her husband, Robert of Green Bay, Wis., and Suzan Stathas, of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Mary Vander Perren, of Lakewood, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Joseph owned an automobile dealership in Seymour, Wis., for many years until his retirement in Florida. He was an active member of Carrollwood Baptist Church, and Lutz Lion's Club. Family will meet friends on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.

TILLERY, Kenneth W., Sr., age 77, of Tampa passed away Thursday, October 3, 2002 at home with loved ones. He served on the USS Washington Naval Ship during World War II. He was a retired mechanic for Sears and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Episcopal faith. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna; son, Kenneth Jr.; daughter, Cheryl Swindle; grandson, Sean Swindle; daughter-in-law, Debbie Swindle; great-granddaughters, Nichole and Kaitlyn, all residing in Tampa; two sisters, Gertrude Tillery of Tampa and Erma Green of Virginia Beach, Va. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Chad's Episcopal church located at 5609 N. Albany Ave., Tampa. In lieu of flowers family requests contributions be made to St. Chad's Episcopal Church or LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County, 3010 West Azeele Street, Tampa, 33609.

WEDDELL, Mark Byron, 46, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2002 in Tennessee. He's survived by his life partner, Sling Pitts; and his sisters, Anita Clapper, Sheryl Davie, and Nancy Schimpf. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5, at 3 p.m. at King of Peace MCC, 3150 5th Avenue N., St. Petersburg.

WILDER, Robert Alan, age 42, of Tampa, passed away October 2, 2002. A native of Louisville, Ky., and resident of Tampa for the past 40 years, Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his father, Ernest T. Wilder; and is survived by his loving wife, Maria C. Wilder; daughters, Christina and Jessica Wilder; mother and stepfather, Louise Wilder-Smith and Jay Smith; brothers, Larry G. and Garry D. Wilder; sister, Patricia L. Brinser; six nieces; one nephew and two great-nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of N. YOUNG, Blanche G., age 72, of Plant City, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2002. Mrs. Young was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brandon. A master quilter, she won 14 Neighborhood Champion Ribbons for her quilting at the Strawberry Festival, from 1989-2001, three ribbons at the International Quilt Show in Houston, Texas and also at the Florida State Fair. She was a member of Crazy Quilters of Temple Terrace and Berry Patch Quilters of Plant City. Survivors include her husband, Jim Young of Plant City; children, Kathy Davies of Portage, Mich., Patricia Peak of St. Petersburg, Sandy Huyck of Marcellus, Mich., also Tom Young and family of Ocala, Deborah Dominick and family of Orlando, and James Young III of Lakeland; and ten grandchildren. A special thanks to the girls on 3 North at the Moffitt Cancer Center. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be on Monday, 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 120 Knights Avenue North in Brandon, with Dr. Herstel Carter officiating. Internment will be in Kalamazoo, Mich. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to H. Lee Moffitt Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612.
