Survivors include his parents, David and Katie Chesser; brother, Jason Chesser; paternal grandparents, Al and Fran Chesser; maternal grandparents, Tom and Joyce Allen; aunt, Cheryl Landers and uncle Mark Chesser; and aunt Lynn Cleland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sickles High School, Future Farmers of America, 7950 Gunn Highway, Tampa, FL. Memorial services will be held Tuesday 7:00 p.m. at Blount, Curry & Roel West Hillsborough Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

COUTS, James H., 62, died Oct. 4, 2002. He was a retired US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietname War and a member of the VFW. Survived by his mother; brother; and two sisters.

EVANS, Earl `Jack`, 76, of Brandon passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Sandra Evans O'Hara of Mustang, Okla. and Kim Saylor of Valrico, Fla.; two brothers, James and Paul Evans; a sister, Lucille Morgan; and four grandsons, Matthew, Zachary, Michael and Ryan. Jack was a member and an usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa and a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local No. 140. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Paul Osterle S.J. as celebrant. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 6 til 8 p.m. at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. STOWERS-BRANDON

FRANCIS, Alfred J., age 74, of Tampa, passed away October 6, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; four sons; three daughters; and loving family.

HAGERMAN, Geraldine P., 77, of Odessa, died October 4, 2002. Born in Pedro, Fla., she was a beauty shop owner/operator and member of Idlewild Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and their wives, George and Teresa of Odessa, and Terry and Lynne of Lutz; daughter and husband, Cynthia and Pete Casabonne of Marietta, Ga.; sister and husband, Mattalene and C.M. Wicker of Sanford, N.C.; grandchildren, Wesley and Michael Hagerman, Jessica Gould, Julianna and Jennifer Casabonne. Note service time change Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Swilley Funeral Home, 1602 W. Waters Ave. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002.

HARTLEY, Hazel Lillian, 100, of Naples, Fla. and formerly of Tampa, died Sunday, October 6, 2002. She was an ordained minister with the Church of God in Ohio and later in Tampa. Survivors include her two daughters, Donna (Hal) Ward of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Dorothy (John) Mild of New Castle, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens, Tampa.

HOWARD, Joseph Chancey, 17, a resident of Plant City, passed away October 5, 2002. He is survived by his parents, Stephen Scott and Krista Howard of Plant City; one brother, Gaston Howard; and one sister, Melissa Howard of the home; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Dale Atkinson of Kenansville, N.C. and the late, Joseph Brock and Eugene and Carolyn Fussell of Rose Hill, N.C.; paternal grandparents Gracie Howard of Wallace, N.C. and the late, C.M. Howard; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Joseph was a resident of Plant City for nine years coming from North Carolina. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Plant City, a member of the youth group, and the FFA of Plant City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. from First Baptist Church of Plant City with Rev. Tommy Warnock and Dr. Ron Churchill officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening (tonight) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Plant City, 503 N. Palmer Street, Plant City, FL 33566. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund at the address indicated above.

LILIENFELD, Joseph J., LCDR (Ret), 80, of Land O' Lakes, passed away October 5, 2002 in Spring Hill. Born in Maplewood, Massachusetts, he was a graduate of Port Saint Joe High School in 1940. He moved to Tampa in 1952. LCDR Lilienfeld was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Lilienfeld and mother, Sarah Mulvey. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; son, James and wife, Bell of Indialantic; daughter, Carmela Gottfried and husband, John of Tampa; grandchildren, Paul and Gabrielle Lilienfeld of Indialantic and Joseph and Amber Gottfried of Tampa; many loving friends; and his beloved dog, Daisy. LCDR Lilienfeld served in the Navy for 26 years. He was the Lieutenant Commander of the USS Recovery and the USS Escape. He was the Engineering Officer on the USS Saratoga CVA-60. He received the distinguished honor, Command in Sea button. His long and illustrious military career also included being a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. LCDR Lilienfeld was a lifetime member of the Submarine Veterans of World War II. He served on the USS Sailfish SS-192, USS Skate SS-305 and the USS Argonaul SS-475. He was a lifetime member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Acc epted Masons of Florida and of the Tin Lizzie of Egypt Temple. He was also a member of the Egypt Temple. In lieu of flowers contributions to Shriners Children Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607. Funeral services will be held Friday 2 p.m. at Blount Curry & Roel MacDill Chapel. McCULLERS, Edward Hall, 61, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville. He was born in Tampa, Fla. and came here 24 years ago from Tampa. He was the owner of a roofing company. Survivors include one daughter, Dana McCullers of Port Richey; two brothers, Timothy of St. Petersburg and Daniel of Maderia Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Albritton of Brooksville and Edith Graff of Tampa; and mother, Anita McCullers of St. Petersburg.

MORALES, Ana M., 68, of Brandon, Fla., died Friday, October 4, 2002 at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, she came here in 1987 from Allentown, Pa. She was a homemaker and member of the Salvation Army Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Napoleon C.; a daughter, Margarita Segovia; five sons, Napoleon, Thomas, Juan, David and Gustavo Morales; and 11 grandchildren.

REVY, Michael, 77, of Tampa, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at Mariner Health of Tampa. He is survived by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at BETH DAVID FUNERAL CHAPEL-TAMPA

RHOADS, Clyne A. `Red`, age 78, passed away Oct. 3, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a native of Florida, born in St. Cloud and raised in Tampa. Red was a veteran of World War II, retired from Florida Steel Corp., and continued to work at Discount Ornamental Iron as a supervisor/welder. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha J. Rhoads; and daughter Linda Stanford, whose husband survivors her. Survivors include two sons, Clyne A. `Rusty` Rhoads, Jr. and wife Glenda, and Lloyd E. Rhoads and wife Robin; five daughters, Gaylon Barbie and husband Starr, Barbara Burkett, Belinda Elliott and husband Larry, Gail Vasquez and husband Pedro, and Pamela McMillan; sister, Frances Mesa; two brothers, Wilbur Rhoads and Lloyd Rhoads; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 at Sunset Memory Gardens in the Garden of Peace with Chaplain Charles Young officiating. The family will receive friends at his residence following the service from 1-3 p.m. Flowers are accepted or contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and services will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Dover Cemetery.
