MCNENNEY, Adelfa, age 92, of Tampa passed away Friday, October 25, 2002. She was born in Key West, Florida in 1910 and moved to Tampa as a young girl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. McNenney; and grandson, Michael L. Rodriguez. She was a past Worthy Matron for the Eastern Star Universal Lodge No. 269. Adelfa was a diligent and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her selfless acts of charity and her endless love for her family will continue to fill the hearts of those left behind. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Edna L. Rodriguez; son-in-law, Louis Rodriguez; granddaughter, Michele R. Adams and husband Michael J. Adams; her grandson's widow, Lina Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Rachel L. Rodriguez, Natalie M. Thompson, Philip J. Thompson a nd Rebecca L. Rodriguez. She expired peacefully in the companionship of her family and friends. Special thanks to the loving couple who took such good care of her through the last weeks of her life, Ada Flores and Carlos Serafin. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 11:00 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Pall Bearers include; Rachel L. Rodriguez, Philip J. Thompson, Bill McDowell, Louis Rodriguez, Ralph Weichmann and Philip Licata. Honorary Pall Bearers include; Michael J. Adams, Efrin Vega, Brian Reese, Jimmy Browlee, Eddie McNenney, Donald Tillman and Art Thompson. Family will receive friends Monday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospitals, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33629, in her memory.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Perez; five sons, Artemio, Perez, Osiel Perez, Leonel Percz, Huriel Perez, Omero Perez; his father, Catarino Perez Simon; his mother, Isabel Miranda Manuel; five brothers, Ramiro Perez, Guadalupe Perez, Baltazar Perez, Catarino Perez, Genaro Perez; six sisters, Angelita Perez, Carlota Perez, Alejandrina Perez, Mercedez Perez, Ermeliada Perez and Marguerita Crispin. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel, 6005 S. S.R. 39, Plant City, Florida. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

PRATT, Verna Harris, 95 of Riverview passed away at her homeon Friday, October 25, 2002. She was a homemaker and the wife W.S. (Bill) Pratt for 53 years until his passing on May 21, 1982. she is survived by: son, Gene Pratt and a daughter, Marian Fox Singleton. 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. They were both Florida natives and owned and operated Pratt's Dairy on Watson Rd from 1942-1959. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 11:00AM at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 28, 2002 from 7PM - 8:30PM at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview. Burial services will follow at Providence Cemetery.

SANDERS, Julie Chichester, age 45 passed away Oct. 23, 2002. Survived by husband, Dale M. Sanders; parents, Philip and Jeanne Dreger Chichester; sister, Nancy Highland; brother-in-law, Patrick; nieces, Lauren and Kathryn; nephew, Patrick, Jr.; sister, Susan Hathaway; brother-in-law, George; nephews, Matthew and Michael. Julie was a graduate of Chamberlain High School, Tampa, Florida in 1975. She was a member of the Cousteau Society; the Humane Society; and various other environmental organizations. She was an avid antique and vintage clothing collector, having been employed by Sherry's Yesterdaze. She had worked for over 20 years at Busch Gardens and assisted her husband on many travel assignments for various magazine articles relating to travel and diving; as well as his apparel company. She was an organ donor through Lifelink. Her death will bring life and hope to many others. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at 7 p.m. at Forrest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, Fla. Flowers are welcome, however the family would prefer donations made in her name to the following; The Odessa Neighborhood Preservation Organization, in the efforts to preserve the neighborhood and lakes in Odessa, contact 920-2224 for the mailing address; The Cousteau Society or the Humane Society. Per her request, her ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico in a private service at a later time.

SCELZO, Frank A., 80, of Port Richey, Florida, died Friday, October 25, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Bronx, New York, he moved to Florida in 1988 from Hazlet, New Jersey. He was a retired police officer for the city of New York in 1968 and retired from the security dept. of K-mart in Hazlet, N.J., in 1985. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Entrepid. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. Survived by his wife, Karen Scelzo, Port Richey, Fla.; two sons, Thomas Scelzo, Staten Island, N.Y., Wayne Albright, Norfolk, Va.; four daughters, Julie Genova, Port Richey, Fla., Toni Scelzo, Hazlet, N.J., Audrey Scelzo, Port Richey, Fla., April Scelzo, Port Richey, Fla.; brother, Anthony Scelzo, Bronx, N.Y.; sister, Millie Depellegrina, Paramus, N.J.; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, October 28 from 2-4 / 6-8 at Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Fla. Service will be held Tuesday, October 29, at 12 noon at St. Michael the Archangel RC church, Hudson, Fla. Burial to follow at Florida National, Bushnell, Fla.

SENTLINGAR, Irene Delores, 77, of Tampa, passed away Friday evening, October 25, 2002. She was born in Wheeling, West Va., and lived in the Bay area 38 years, coming from Wheeling, West Va., and was a retired Plant Office Mgr. for Stauffer Chemical Co. She is survived by three sons, Jacob of McKinney, Texas , Charles Douglas of Seffner and Dean of Tampa; daughter, Sue Bowers, of Fayetteville, Ga.; brother, James Bayley of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Ora Amos of Wheeling, West Va., and Bertha Dickson of Wheeling, West Va.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Wheeling, West Va. Rejoice in Death.

He came here 12 years ago from Maspeth, N.Y. where he was an elevator operator for 32-B Elevator Operators Union. He was born in Amboy, N.Y. and was a member of St. Adelberts Catholic Church in Elmhurst, N.Y. He is survived by three sisters, Irene Juniewicz and Wanda Tortora, both of New Port Richey and Frances Migdalski of Ridgewood, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Middlevillage, N.Y.

She was born November 19, 1913 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came here 29 years ago from Queens, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include her son, Arthur; and a sister, Eileen Buckley, both of New Port Richey.

KINSER, Shirley Ann, 57, formerly of Dade City, died Sunday morning, October 27, 2002 at her home in Sumterville, Fla. A native of Mouthcard, Ky., she moved to Florida in 1968. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, B.H. Kinser of Sumterville; three daughters, Brandi Kinser and Rhonda Ashcraft, both of Sumterville and Karen Cox of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; one sister, Merlene Burton of Dade City; two brothers, Kenneth Kender of Dade City and Paul Kinder of Claypool Hill, Va.; her mother, Hettie Kinder of Dade City; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday.

LEO, Joseph, 83, of Zephyrhills, passed away October 26, 2002 in Zephyrhills. Survived by his wife, Dorothy Leo of Zephyrhills; two daughters, Susan Trester of Zephyrhills and Diane (Anthony) Marlo of Spring Hill; two grandsons, Paul Richards and Dennis Skalski; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Lockler; a great-grandson, Hunter Lockler; and a brother; Anthony Leo of Arizona. Services will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Tropical Acres Club House, 3221 Paradise Way, Zephyrhills, Fla. Born August 11, 1919 in Newport News, Va., he was a member of the Moose Lodge and retired from St. Johnsbury Trucking Company. He was a Catholic and came to the Zephyrhills area 19 years ago from Matawan, N.J.

He was a hospital Administrator for the Veterans Hospital in Jackson, Miss. John was a Catholic and a US Army veteran of World War II. John was also a member of Countryside Country Club in Clearwater. He is survived by three sons, John P. Mistal of New Port Richey, James P. Mistal of Arizona and Peter Mistal of Canton, Miss.; two daughters, Mary (Lolly) Mistal of Ridgeland, Miss. and Cynthia Witty of St. Augustine, Fla.; two sisters, Sr. Mary Roselle of Canada and Adeline Turajski of California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a member and usher for Faith Lutheran Church, New Port Richey and also a member of Stratford Rotary Club, Stratford, Ontario, Canada. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian C. Polzin; a daughter, Karen P. Baumunk, Waukesha, Wis.; a sister, Betty Weber, Wauwatosa, Wis.; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wis. The family suggests donations to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 6630 Kentucky Ave., New Port Richey, FL 34653.

She was a retired secretary from Citibank in New York City, N.Y. after 10 years of service, of the Catholic faith and a volunteer for The Deaf Service Center of Pasco/Hernando in Port Richey. Survivors include her two sons, Michael G. Walker and his wife, Ellen of New City, N.Y. and Stephen Walker and his wife, Diane of Port Richey; her mother, Juanita Maldonado of Queens, N.Y.; her two sisters, Elsie McKenna, and Doris Garcia, both of Queens, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 11:15 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Doster of Dade City; sons, Mickey, Scott, Kenneth and Larry Christopher, all of Zephyrhills; daughter, Angela D. Sims of Dade City; brother, Gerald Sims of Dade City; sisters, Penny and Elizabeth Doster of Dade City; and 10 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 29 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City.

Wilma Hicks, Ochlocknee, Ga.; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. She was employed by Hillsborough County School System for 25 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2002, 11 a.m. at Little Union Primitive Baptist Church, Lithia, Florida. Elder Steve Wilkinson will officiate. Her grandsons are to be pallbearers.
