LOSEY, Okla Rosa, 86, died October 29, 2002. She was born in Maiden, N.C. and moved to Tampa where she remained a member of West Shore Baptist Church. Recently she resided in Lakeland. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara L. Mines of Lakeland; son, Frank Losey III of Decatur, Ala.; two sisters; two brothers; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2002 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. with Dr. Douglas Penhollow officiating at Swilley Funeral Home, 1602 W. Waters Avenue, Tampa.

McFARLAND, William R. Jr., 89, of Valrico passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2002. He is survived by a nephew, Eugene Hubbell of Silver Springs, Fla. and a niece, Phyllis Marrero of Gainesville, Fla.

MERRITT, Vanessa, 37, of Tampa, died October 26, 2002. Survived by children, Ikeshia, Donald and Quay-Terria; and mother, Joyce Conyers.

MOSLEY, Emani M., infant, of Tampa, passed away October 24, 2002. She is survived by her parents, Adrian and Tameka; and other relatives and friends.

NEAL, Dorothy R., age 88, of Tampa and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky passed away at University Community Hospital to become an angel on Tuesday, October 29, 2002. Dorothy was born February 8, 1914 in Omaha, Nebraska. On October 7, 1936, she married Joseph A. Neal in Omaha. After 62 years or a loving marriage, Joe predeceased Dorothy in 1999. Dotty lived her life as a Christian and was an amazing role model, setting an example of strength, kindness, and courage. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church at Tampa Palms. She is survived by her son, Joel Barnum Neal of Tampa; her daughter, Susan Mae Neal White of Lenoir, North Carolina; her grandson, Brian Michael White of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and sister, Virginia Berkley of Appleton, Wisconsin. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Neal will be held Friday, November 1, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church at Tampa Palms with Pastor Brian James presiding. The Neal family will receive friends in the Narthex of the Church following the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to University Community Hospital Foundation Department for Diabetes Education.

PARDO, Estrella P., age 90, of Tampa, passed away October 30, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mrs. Pardo was preceded in death by her husband, Aquilino Pardo and is survived by her daughter, Martha Martino; sister-in-law, Carmelina Perez; grandchildren, Suzette Mattie and husband, James, Michael Martino and wife, Elaine and Joette Martino; and great-grandchildren, Cory, Amber, Michael, Jeffrey and Taylor. A Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Centro Asturiano Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Michael Martino, James Mattie, D.J. Reina, M.D., David Reina, Richard Ferlita and Miguel Ruiz. Honorary Pallbearers include Domenick Reina, M.D., William F. Garcia and Onelio Alfonso. Please omit flowers, and in lieu of, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or LifePath Hospice Teal Team in memory of Mrs. Pardo.

WALKER, George A., Sr., 79, passed away October 28, 2002 in Tampa. Born in Palatka, Fla. He was a Baptist, a retired Master Sergent in the US Army and a Corporal in the US Marines participating in World War II where he received the Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife, Angelina; sons, John and George, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Buchanan; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the Alzheimer's Foundation. A memorial service will be held October 31, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.

WALLACH, Hyman, 97, of Sun City Center, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at South Bay Hospital. He retired as a manufacturer of women's shoes for Nina Footwear in New York City after 40 years of service. He was a 20-year member and Elder of Temple David. Mr. Wallach was preceded in death by his wife, Esther. Survivors include his daughter, Norma Forand of Sun City Center; son, Sye Wallach and his wife, Iris of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; six grandchildren: Barbara Bunting, Marlene Forand, and Bruce Gordon all of Tampa, Jeffrey Wallach, Beth Karowski, and Susan Wallach all of New Jersey; nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

WESTFALL, Louise Turner 83, of Brandon, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Charles R. Westfall. Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn and her husband, James LaRussa of Tampa, Fla., Sharon McAuley of Plano, Texas , Carol and her husband, Steve Hardy of Brandon, Fla. and Barbara and her husband, John Berg of Chesterfield, Va.; a brother, William `Pete` L. Turner of Bradenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Jamie and Brian LaRussa, Carey, Robby and Caity McAuley, Jenni and Mark Ober, Jr., John, Bonnie and Jordan Berg; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Faith Ober. A native of Bradenton, Fla., she lived in the Brandon area for 42 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brandon, United Methodist Women and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Brandon. Contributions may be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church of Brandon or the Judeo Christian Clinic.

WILLIAMS, Mildred S., 86, a resident of Plant City, passed away October 29, 2002. She is survived by two sons, Ralph Lamar Hightower and Tony Ronald Hightower; two daughters, Jeanette Huber and Janie Gale Tinsley; one step-daughter, Mary Elizabeth Gordon; three sisters, Johnnie Hull, Merle Dennis and Marie Jones; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1 at 11 a.m. from Plant City Church of God with Pastor Robert Herrin officiating. Interment will follow in Springhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening (tonight) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
