HAYES, Tommy C., 80, passed away November 3, 2002 in Tampa. Born in Cottondale, Ala., he moved to this area in 1966. He was a Baptist and a World War II Air Force veteran where he received the Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty; sons, Michael Hayes (Sharon), and Jim Padgett (Maria); daughters, Gracie Freemire (Ted), and Linda Lewis (Willie T.); seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Building Program, 13515 U.S. Hwy 301 N., Thonotosassa, Fla. Visitation will be November 8, 2002 at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m.. at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.

HOLM, Frank, 86, of Lakeland, died Oct. 31, 2002. Survived by wife, Wynelle; one daughter; one son; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

JEPSEN Henry M., Jr., 84, of Lutz, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2002 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth. He is survived by his daughter, Carole Merkle and husband, Richard of Odessa, Fla.; son, Henry III of Lutz; four grandchildren, Gayla, Charlie, Doug and Dean; and five great-grandchildren. Henry was born in Kansas City, Mo. and lived most of his life in the Tampa Bay area. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Tampa and retired with 37 years service with Eastern Airlines. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 2707 W. Waters Avenue in Tampa. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory, may be made to the church or Hospice of Hernando-Pasco.

KORDEWICH, Geraldine E., 79, of Brandon, passed away Nov. 4, 2002. She is survived by one son, Kenneth; two daughters, Karyn Pirrello and Gretchen Haynes; one sister; and six grandchildren.

LISTER, Earl N., 76, a resident of Tampa since 1971 passed away Monday, November 4, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was preceded in death by his son, Earl Jr.; three brothers, Raymond, Norman and Bobbie. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; daughter, Debbie and husband Tommy Tessier; five grandchildren, Karrie, Mark, Heather, Kelly and Brett; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cassie and Courtney; sister, Barbara and husband Len Ward; brother, Jack; niece, Gail and husband Dick Sturtevant; and other nieces and nephews. Mr. Lister was a member of Keystone Presbyterian Church for eight years and was also on the grounds committee at the church. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II, and served in the Auxiliary Police in New Jersey. Mr. Lister was a wonderful husband, loving father and all around good person and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 7 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Earl's name to the Keystone Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 7509 Van Dyke Rd., Odessa, Fl 33556.

MALCOLM, Barnett, 87, of Lakeland, died Oct. 30, 2002. Survived by two daughters; two sisters; one brother; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

MARIN, Jose Luis, 39, died Oct. 19, 2002. Survived by wife; two daughters; parents; and one sister. A memorial Mass will be held on Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Jose Marin Family Fund.

MILLER, Lois, 73, of Tampa, Died Nov. 2, 2002 at Manor care of Tampa. She is survived by sons, John Miller and Alex Altenhoff, both of Tampa.

O'DONOVAN, Jeremiah John Joseph, 89, died on Monday, November 4,2002. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Josephine; four of his six children and their spouses, Ione Jackson, Jean Hansen, John O'Donovan, and Beth Clarke. Two of his children, Jerome O'Donovan and Ina Cardenas preceded their father in death. He also is survived by nine grandchildren, James, Eric, Leeann, Jonathan, Sean, Chander, Dona, Rose and Dorian; and five great-grandchildren, James, Damien, Cheyenne, Chrisi, Ryu and Rodney. He is survived by three of his six siblings, Martha Murphy, Dean Donovan, and Louise Bathurst. He was a native of Lock Haven, Pa. and had lived in Tampa since 1945. He served in the Army in World War II and was a retired US Postal worker. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Home, Garden of Memories Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

RIEDEL, Roy L., 81, of Tampa, passed away on November 2, 2002. He is survived by his sister, Lois R. Martin and her husband R.ADM Fowler W. Martin, Jr. (Ret.) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Born on March 9, 1921 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Roy graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, and then attended the University of Minnesota until the U.S. entered World War II. During the war, he served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps transporting planes from India over the Himalaya n Mountains to China, a route known as The Hump. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in recognition of his courage and skill as an aviator. Roy moved to Florida in the early 1950's and served as president of Lang's Ice Cream and then as an officer and director of Li'l General Food Stores. Following the sale of Li'l General to General Host Corporation, he became an officer and director of Sanitary Farm Dairies, of Minnesota and Iowa, until its sale to Land O' Lakes Creamery. Roy was a pioneer in the convenience food industry and, with his brother, founded and expanded Li'l General from a handful of outlets in the late 1950's to more than 250 stores located throughout the eastern United States a decade later. He was a member of Bayside Community Church in Tampa. A memorial service will be held at Bayside Community Church, 3333 Bayshore Blvd., Tampa, FL 33629, on Saturday, November 16, 2002, at 5:30 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Bayside Community Church or the American Parkinson Disease Assn., Inc., 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4-B, Staten Island, NY 10305.

RIVERA, John Donald, age 63, a lifetime resident of Tampa passed away Monday, November 4, 2002. He was a graduate of Jesuit and attended the University of Florida. Mr. Rivera was an electrician and member of IBEW, Local #915 for over 42 years. Also, he was a member of Fraternal Club UNICO. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Jason; daughter, Jodi; brothers, Gene and Charlie; nephews, Gene, Dennis, Charlie and Chanse; and niece, Megan. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 7, 6 to 8 pm. at Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave.

ROSAMOND, Larry D. 56, of North Fort Myers, died Thursday, October 31, 2002. He moved here 30 years ago from Brandon, FL and was the Sales Representative for Unisource Paper Co. Mr. Rosamond was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 45 years. He was an adult volunteer in Fort Myers for 30 years and he received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. He also received the distinguished Order of the Arrow's Founders Award. He was a membr of the Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Ann H. Rosamond, his daughter Shannon L. (David) Walker of Aurora, Missouri, his son Benjamin R. Rosamond of Tallahassee, FL, his grandchldren Megan and Joseph D. Walker, his sister Brenda R. (Robert) Mayfield of Weaver, AL, his nephew Jason Mayfield and his niece Amy H. (Jam es) Chapman. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Leah Rosamond. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the S.W. Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America at 1801 Boy Scout Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33907.

SLOWEY, John Anthony, 45, passed away November 4, 2002 at his home. He was a dedicated, compassionate health care provided in pediatrics at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. He is survived by his long time companion, Jon Hyde; brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on November 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital Pastoral. He was an individual who would rather give back than take. John Slowey will be greatly missed but not soon forgotten. He was a friend, a brother, a caring individual.

TOSSONA, Marcus Bruno, passed Nov. 4, 2002. He was born to Sandy Dentmon and Paul Tossona on March 29, 1978. He has two brothers Tony and Ryan; and a sister Morgan. He is loved by too many others to mention! He was blessed with a son, Anthony Ryan. Marcus's memorial will be held at `Crossover` on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7809 N. Orleans Ave., Tampa, at 12 Noon.

WALKER, Howard Clifton, age 76, of Plant City, passed away on October 16, 2002. He is survived by his loving family.

ALLEN, Dennis E., 66, of Dade City, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2002 in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Douglas-Allen; three daughters, one son, one step-son, two sisters, and seven grandchildren. He was born March 30, 1936 in Vermont, and moved to this area five years ago from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was a retired network technician for Bell South. He had been active in the Dade City Little League Program as a Coach and also with the East Pasco Youth Soccer League. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 in the Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home with Father Lewis Tanno officiating.

Survived by her children, Erhard `Ed` Heib, Angie Runyon, both of Zephyrhills and Peter Chariton of New Brunswick, Canada and Zephyrhills; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was born September 3, 1920 in Trep Tow-en-Riga, Germany. She worked as an Elevator Operator for a Furniture Store, was a Lutheran and came to the Zephyrhills area in April 2002 from Erie, Pennsylvania .

HARTWIG, Kurt H., 73, of Port Richey, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Madison Pointe Rehab & Nursing Center in New Port Richey. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Port Richey from LaGrange, Ill. in 1988. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a US Army Veteran. Kurt was a Lutheran and a member of the VFW in Port Richey and the NCOA of New Port Richey. Survivors include two sisters, Violet Nardvcy of Oaklawn, Ill. and Blondina McKinney of Port Richey; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Dade City Cemetery. A native of Harrison Co., W.Va., he moved to this area 20 years ago from Miami, Fla. He was a pilot for the Ohio Brake Sole Company for many years and had most recently been a self employed truck driver. He was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Imogene North Jones; five step-children, Thomas Stevens, Jr. of Titusville, Fla., Warren Stevens of St. Joseph, Mary Lou Smisek of Dade City, Nancy Henson of Hawthorne, Fla. and Laura Schrader of San Antonio; and several grandchildren. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

KELLER, Thomas Eugene, Sr., 70, of St. Petersburg, died Nov. 3, 2002. Born in Cairo, Ga., he is survived by four sons; three daughters; one sister; and eight grandchildren.
