LOWE, Verdia, 84, of Arcadia, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 at home. She was a homemaker, rancher, and horticulturist. She was a member of USF Botanical Garden Club. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery Chapel, with burial to follow. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 p.m. at Robarts Family Funeral Home, 529 W. Main St., Wauchula, FL 33873. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida.

MEROLA, Michael, 82, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away November 8, 2002 while under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. A native of Philadelphia, Pa., he came here 27 years ago from Philadelphia. He was a retired machinist for Steel Heddle. Mr. Merola was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include his wife Edna; two sisters, Ann Carson of Hudson, Florida and Betty Francesangeli of Oreland, Pa. Visitation will be at Bell Funeral Home Monday from 2-4 p.m., with funeral service at 4 p.m. with Deacon Robert Simpson officiating.

MOORE, John A., 89, of New Port Richey, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center, in New Port Richey. Born in Bayonne, N.J., he moved here from Teaneck, N.J. in 1973. He was a stage carpenter for the NBC television network, and worked on shows such as Sid Caesar's Show of Shows. He was a member of Union Local#1I AT SE. His wife of 62 years, Theresa; two daughters, Jean Jackson-Ruby of Daytona Beach and Joan Moore of Tampa; and his grandson, Michael McCaffrey of Tampa, survives him.

BOERSMA, Frances M., 75, lifelong resident of Tampa, Fla., passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2002.. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Johnston and husband Michael; three sons, Ron Lazo, and his wife Cindy, John, and Thomas Boersma; several grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, Alisen Frances. Frances was a member of AmVets Auxiliary Post #9 of Odessa, and an active leader in the Girl Scouts of America and Youth Teen Clubs of Sulphur Springs, Fla. She was lovingly known as `Mom` to all. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-9 at the funeral home today.

COLLINS, Mable C., 87, of Tampa, died Thursday Nov. 7. She was an elementary school teacher in Tampa for over 30 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

EDISON, Jill, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away November 8, 2002. Survived by husband, Dr. Neil Edison; son, Eric Corey Edison; brother, Rick Simovitz of Venice, Fla.; mother, Geraldine Simovitz of Tampa, Fla. Born and raised in Tampa, Fla., she attended Plant High School. She was the daughter of William Simovitz, who owned Louis Department Store, Ybor City. She was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Peabody College for Education and Human Development and received her B.S. degree in 1971; Georgia State University, M.ED Degree, 1973; Doctoral Candidate, Emory University 1973-1975; current President and CEO, Aventura Chamber of Commerce, Aventura, Fla.; President Temple Solel of Hollywood, Fla. 2002; Legislative Chairman of the Broward County Medical Assoc. Alliance from 1991-presen t; President from 1996-1997, Florida Medical Assoc., Thousand Plus Club; and distinguished Layman award, Florida Medical Assoc. 2002. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, 12 noon at Temple Solel, 5100 Sheridan St., Hollywood, Fla. Burial services Tuesday, 12 noon in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa, Fla. Contributions to the Duke University Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Preceded in death by his brother, George Hudson, he is survived by his wife, Mandy; three sons, Cy Hudson, Tarpon Springs, Terry Best, Wesley Chapel and Ronald Best, Connersville, Ind.; daughter, Pam Geisking, Tampa; two sisters, Pat Wilson, Mobile, Ala. and Beth Hesselton, Delray Beach, Fla. and nine grandchildren. LIVINGSTON, Nannetta, 91, formerly of Plant City, died Nov. 9, 2002 in Dade City She was retired from Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plant City. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Alice Altman of Dade City; a son, Thomas Earl Livingston of Orlando; two sisters, Jean Moore of Stuart and Frieda Beeny-Jones of Payson, AZ; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held in the Cornerstone Chapel in Plant City at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 with Reverend Richard Bills officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City.

He worked for Schlitz Brewery for many years, was a member of IUOE #925, served his country in the US Army during World War II and was of the protestant faith. He is survived by his wife Betty; son, Herb Thompson; three brothers, Raymond, William and Pat Odor; a sister, Donna Carter; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Tuesday November12, 2002 at Titus Baptist church, corner of US Hwy. 301 S. and Bloomingdale Ave., with Rev. Edwin Newman officiating. He is survived by his wife, Carmen; children, Barbara Gaston, Debi Sampedro, Frank Scolaro, Jr., Cathy Little, and Michael Scolaro; brothers, Tony and Joe Scolaro; grandchildren, Sarah Miller, Alexandra, Brittany, Anthony M., Angela, and Sage Scolaro, Samuel `TJ`, Eric, Brandon, and Alex Little; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, and Izaya Miller. Mr. Scolaro was an auto technician at Abraham Chevrolet for 32 years. He was a musician and a Bucs fan. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at Noon, in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Garden of Memories Funeral home at 10 a.m. until the time of service.

SIMPSON, Don L., 80, Valrico, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2002. Survivors include his wife Estelle, Valrico; one daughter, Donna Rucker, Sutton, Mass.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was a resident since 1994 coming from Laconia, N.H. and a member of Nativity Catholic Church. He was a life member of Laconia Elks, The American Legion Post #0001, and The VFW Post #1670 all in Laconia, N.H. A memorial service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Trafficante is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Elsie Trafficante; daughter, Lucille T. Albano and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Peter S. Albano and Stephanie Hovsepian and husband, Edward; brother, Henry Trafficante; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with entombment to follow in L'Unione Italiana Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers include; Santo Paniello, Peter S. Albano, Carmen Cannavo, Tom Smith, Edward Hovsepian, Michael Gonzalez, Sam Lumia and Frank Trafficante. Honorary Pallbearers include; Santo Trafficante, Mario Pullara and Ralph Castellano. Flowers wi ll be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Trafficante. He was a machinist in the aircraft industry, and worked at Capy Machine in Long Island, N.Y. He was a Roman Catholic. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Olga; a son, Salvador Antonacci of Clearwater; a daughter, Livia Antonacci of New Port Richey; a brother, Domenico Antonacci of Italy; a sister, Maria Capacchione of Queens, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. CANTER, Catherine, 75, of Dade City, died Friday, November 8, 2002 at Pasco Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife, a hospital volunteer and a member of All Faiths United Church of Christ in Ridge Manor, Fla. Mrs. Canter is survived by two sons, Michael Canter of Tampa and Thomas Canter of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Harry W. Hawley; one sister, Elizabeth Hawley, both of Delhi, New York; and two grandchildren.

FAMULARI, Domenic, 78, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away Friday, November 8, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Manhattan, New York, he moved here in 1978 from Rockland County, New York and was a retired Chief Engineer for the Veterans Administration. He was a member of the Catholic faith and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the County Commander of Rockland VFW from 1975-1976 and County Adjutant in 1972. He was also a member of the Pearl of the West Masonic Lodge #146 in New Port Richey. Mr. Famulari was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Rose Famulari of Port Richey; two daughters, Lucille Borden of Pamona, New York and Diane Mann of Warwick, New York; sister, Louise Famulari of Warwick, New York; six grandch ildren; and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, November 13, 2002 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Florida. He was an assembler at Pryor Implement Co in Trenton, Tenn.; a veteran of the US Navy and a Baptist. He is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Babcock of New Port Richey; a brother, Kenneth Isbell of Atwood, Tenn; two sisters, Helen Akers of Burns, Tenn. and Reatha Clark of Cedar Grove, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

He was born April 7, 1922 in Amherst, Ohio and came here 22 years ago from Orlando, Fla. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday; Knight of Columbus Father Ferril Council; Polish American Club in both Holiday and New Port Richey; and a life member of the Slovenian National Club in Lorraine, Ohio. He was a World War II Army veteran and a retired Long Shoreman in the shipping business. Survivors include his wife, Hilda; a son, Raymond of Sacramento, Calif.; a step-son, Eugene Mosley of New Smyrna, Fla.; a step-daughter, Barbara Gugel of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, John of Lorraine, Ohio; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Norman Livingston, a daughter, Norma Jean Thomas and a son, James Robert Livingston. Funeral Services will be held in the Cornerstone Chapel in Plant City at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 with Reverend Richard Bills officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant City. He was employed at Cummer & Sons Cypress Company and was also a self employed landscaper until his retirement in 1982. Survivors include five sons; one daughter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.

Weaver of Tinton Falls, New Jersey and Carol W. Smith of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ; and eight grandchildren.
