FUNFROCK, Thomas E., 61, of Hudson, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at home in Hudson. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia and moved to Hudson from Hackensack, N.J. in 1990. He was a Chief Librarian for a newspaper and a real estate salesman. He taught computer classes at the Hudson Library and was a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Funfrock of Hudson; four daughters, Jennifer K. Parliman of Woodbine, N.J., Joy N. Krupinski Hudson, Colette `Coco` Funfrock and Nicole J. Mancini, all from Hudson; and 10 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Lambert of Zephyrhills; four daughters, Cynthia Czaja of Denison, Texas , Sharon Plouffe of Colchester, Vt., Margot Labatore of Appleton, Wis., and Cheryl Narreau of Plattsburg, N.Y.; two sons, Frank Lambert Jr., of Little Chute, Wis., and James B. Lambert of Ticonderoga, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Lambert of Houston, Texas ; four sisters, Mary Simpson of Mineville, N.Y., Florence Cowan of Ticonderoga, N.Y., Shirley Pelerin of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and Judy Justus of Hendersonville, N.C. Born May 26, 1927 in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he was a veteran of the Navy serving in World War II, and a Past Grand Knight, and a member of the 3rd and 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and Past Fire Chief of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He worked as a foreman in a paper manufacturing plant, and came to the Zephyrhills area five years ago from Lutz, Fla.

Born October 3, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minn., she worked as a Houskeeping Supervisor for a nursing home and came to the Zephyrhills area in 1990 from St. Michael, Minn. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by his son, Gregory Paxton, and a granddaughter, Kala Ann Paxton both of Brooksville; two stepdaughters, Linda of Alabama and Patty of Dade City; two brothers, Vic Hypes of Brooksville and Bob Hypes of Charleston, W.Va.; three step-brothers, David Vance of Brooksville, Raymond Vance and George Vance both of West Virginia; four sisters, Rose Jennings of Brooksville, Nancy Gilmore, Shirley Fields and Jane Lyons all of West Virginia; former wife, Joyce Britt Paxton of Dade City. Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2002 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla., with military Honors by the VFW. Born October 11, 195 in Charleston, West Virginia, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for a trucking company and came to Dade City area in 1963 from West Virginia.

SLACK, Charles F., 78, of Zephyrhills, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at East Pasco Medical Center. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, he moved to this area 24 years ago from Londonberry, New Hampshire. Charles was a retired painter in the construction industry and a US Marine veteran serving in World War II. He was a past Master of the John Hancock Masonic Lodge in Methuen, Mass., a Shriner of the Bek-Tash Temple in Boston, Mass. and a past Patron of Temple Terrace #277 Order of the Eastern Star. Charles was also a former employee of Oakley Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Slack will be held Saturday, November 23, 2002 in the Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home on West 54 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor George White officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens in Brandon. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Mr. Slack is survived by his wife, Joan E. Slack; one daughter, Holly Hicks of Sarasota, Fla.; three sons, Jeff Slack of Augusta, Ga., John Slack of Charleston, R.I. and Charles J. Slack of Tampa; grandchildren, Tara Frasier, Cindy Starks, Eric Slack and Justin Hicks; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a retired bookkeeper and a spiritualist. She is survived by two sons, Fred of San Antonio, Fla. and Carl of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Dorothy Bould of Cedarburg, Wis. and Rose of England; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

WALTERS, Douglas M., 85, of Holiday, died November 19, 2002 at the Hernando- Pasco Hospice Care Center. Born in Richmond Hill, New York, Douglas was a Mechanic Foreman for the New York Telephone Company; a World War II Veteran serving his county in the United States Army; and a member of the Uniondale Volunteer Fire Department. Douglas moved to Florida in 1973 from Uniondale, N.Y. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Matilda Walters; and a daughter, Laraine Davenport from California. He is survived by his companion, Mrs. Ruth Romine of Holiday; two daughters, Nicolette Creel of Temple Terrace and Sandra Loheide of New York; one brother, Frederick B. Walters of San Antonio, Texas ; four grandchildren, Karin Loheide of Pennsylvania , Josua Rine of Germany, Neil Rine of Florida and Emily Loheide of Washington ; and one great-grandchild, Stephanie Loheide of Pennsylvania . ZELANEY, Michael `Mike` A., 84, of Holiday, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Kindred Hospital Central Tampa. He was born in Lansford, Pennsylvania and moved to Holiday from Bayshore, N.Y. in 1982. He was a retired structural welder for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #138 of Farmingdale, N.Y. after over 35 years of service. Mike was a member St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday, a member of Fr. Farrell Knights of Columbus Council #6476 in Holiday and a 4th Degree member of Fr. Farrell Assembly #1774 in Holiday. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Zelaney of Holiday; two daughters, Audrey A. Hower of Holiday and Madeline M. Kelley of N. Babylon, N.Y.;three sisters, Rose Halenar and Annette Zelaney, both of Lansford, Pa. and Agnes Doster of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2002 from 2-5 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home with Rosary at 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday, November 25, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in, Bushnell at 12:30 p.m.

ABRAMSON, Ellen, 84, of Brandon, Fla., passed away November 21, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stan Abramson, Sr. She is survived by sons, Stan Jr. and wife, Marisel and Jeff and wife, Linda; daughter, Sara and husband, Martin; grandchildren, Justin, Caitlin, Kristen and Jeffrey; and brother, Fred Radford. AGNES, Thomas, Mary age 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Ms. Thomas is from Lithia. She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Langdale of Lithia; one son, James D. Thomas; one sister, Naomi Wright, both of Plant City; one brother, Delbert Earl Glasscock of Hopehull, Alabama; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2002 from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m. There will be a Graveside service at Hebron Cemetery in Lithia on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Hulend Harvill officiating.

She is survived by four sons, Joseph Atchison of Albrightsville, Pa., William Atchison, Jr. of Plant City, Fla., Thomas Atchison of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and James (Elli) Atchison of Windemere, Fla.; four daughters, Patty Atchison of Land O' Lakes, Fla., Cathy (John) Sullivan of Leonardo, N.J., Maureen (John) Ogden of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and Michele (Steve) Kruse of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; one sister, Mary Voight of Yonkers, N.Y.; grandchildren, Christine Escalona of Belford, N.J., Beth, Laura, Danielle, William, Maureen, Brian, Larisa, Dennis, Mary and Annie Sullivan of Leonardo, N.J., Kelly (Luis) Cabezas of Los Angeles, Calif., Katherine of Land O' Lakes, Fla., Norbert Nissen, Britney and Hunter McCoy of Plant City, Fla.; and great-grandchild, Alexa Escalona of Belford, N.J. COSTA, Dominic `Mickey`, age 67, of Tampa, passed away November 19, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Costa was a retired supervisor with the City of Tampa Solid Waste Department and a veteran of the US Navy. He was a very loved and respected member of the Sunshine HOG Chapter, first president of the Florida Renegades Horse Association 1965-66, A.W. Windhorst Lodge #185, F & AM, and the Scottish Rite Temple. Survivors include his wife, Liz Costa; son, Jimmy Costa; daughters, Denise Green and husband, Andy, Michele Costa Phair and husband, Carl and Kristine Sopka and husband, Rick; and grandchildren, Robert Green, Dominic Costa and his mother, Tina, Treven Castellanos, Rylee Sopka and Jaimie Costa. Catholic Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jim Costa, Lenny Lorenzo, Rick Sopka, Tim Knox, Rommie Rodriguez, Cecil Sierra, Andy Green and Buster Jeziorski. DEARTH, John W., 71, of Sun City Center, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002 from complications of cancer. His spirit lives on in his best friend and adoring wife of 47 years, Doris; his son, John Wesley Dearth III and his wife Rebecca; daughter, Julie Anne Coggins, and daughter, Michelle Marie Johnson and her husband Jason; his grandchildren, John Thomas `J.T` Coggins, Kent Charles Coggins, Jamie Marie Dearth, Jaycie Lynn Johnson and Skyler Marie Johnson; his sisters, Bonnie Carroll and her husband John and Sandy Dearth; and many nieces, nephews and friends. John was born in Zanesville, Ohio, he had resided in the Brandon area since 1962 coming from Montgomery, Ala., before retiring to Sun City Center in 1998. He worked at Thatcher Glass as a mold maker, then worked at St. Vincent De Paul as a store manager. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict for 3 years 9 months and 20 days. He was an active member of Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon for 36 years, where he volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul Society, Nativity Men's Club, and as Ride Ticket Chairman at Novemberfest. He also was Scout Master for Troop 89 and was an avid golfer. He d evoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren, who will greatly miss their `Papa`. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Friday) from 6 til 8 p.m. at the Stowers Brandon Chapel.

FOSTER, Alfred A., 82, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20. 2002. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Foster, sons, Stephen Foster and wife Karen, of Detroit, MI., John Foster, of Tampa and Frank Foster and wife Stephanie, of Tampa, four grandchildren, David and wife Lisa of Spring Hill, Fla., Kurt and wife Cynthia, Kimberly and husband Scott, and Kerry, all of Tampa; seven great-grandchildren; five nephews and three step-grandchildren. Mr. Foster was a member of the International Typographical Union since 1937 and retired from The Tampa Tribune composing room in Dec. 1992. He was a veteran pilot of World War II, US Army Air Corps. A private graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories for family only.

He was a Baptist, a Retired US Army Veteran, a retired Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Gwen; sons, Steve and wife, Kim of Kissimmee and Jimmy and wife, Kim of Riverview; daughters, Carol Ellington and husband, Tom of Plant City and Kathy Marshburn and husband, Richard of Littleton, Colo.; brother, Clifford of Orangevale, Calif.; sisters, Hazel Barcus of Palmdale, Calif., Frances Morgan and Sarah Curtis of Anaheim, Calif. and Evelyn Valenti of Ashville, N.C.; and grandchildren, Greg, Chris, Amanda, Steven, and Zack.
