KLEIN, Patrick Charles, 55, of Port Richey, Florida died Friday November 22, 2002 at home in Port Richey. He was born in Detroit and moved to Port Richey from Mr. Clemens, Mich. He retired on Sept. 14, 2002 as Sergeant First Class in the US Army after 20 years of active duty. Survivors; wife of 36 years, Maureen; sons, Brian and Matthew; brother, James and Kerry; sister, Kelly; two grandchildren, Alexis and Adrienne. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home.

ROSE, Ellis Laverne, 81, of New Port Richey passed away on Friday, November 22, 2002 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. She was born in Dorsey, Miss. She came here 24 years ago from Logansport, Indiana , where she was a bookkeeper for J.C. Penney Company. She was a Christian and a member of the Ladies Aux. Eagles Aerie of Logansport. She is survived by a son, James Rose of New Port Richey; two brothers, Denton Murphy of Pensacola, Fla., Charles Murphy of Mantqchie, Miss.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m., Tuesday. Entombment will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens. ZUK, Sandy A., 60, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away November 23, 2002 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House in Dade City. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and came to Zephyrhills 13 years ago from Pennsylvania . She is a retired legal secretary and Protestant by faith. She is survived by one son, William of Bethelhem, Pa.; one brother, Jospeh Huya, II, of Tampa; sister, Irene Diaz of Cleveland, Ohio; one granddaughter, Carissa Marie Zuk; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 7 p.m., Monday evening (tonight) with a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in her hometown.

BAYNARD, Alice H. `A. J.`, 71, of St. Petersburg died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at Bayfront Medical Center as the result of injuries suffered from an accidental fall. She was a native of St Petersburg. She graduated from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels, All Children's Hospital, Florida International Museum, and Friendship Force. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Lester B. Baynard; four children, Caroline B. Wilson of Sarasota, David L. Baynard of Sacramento, Calif., Michael K. Baynard of Dallas, and Linda B. Ochse of Odessa, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Chris and Melissa Wilson, both of Sarasota, and Brady and Harrison Ochse, both of Odessa. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 1p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1200 Snell Isle Blvd. NE, St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations to S.P.C.A of Pinellas, 9099-130th Ave. N., Largo, FL 33773.

BOGAN, DOROThY L., age, 84, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away in her sleep Saturday, November 23, 2002. Born in Sciotoville, Ohio, Dorothy was a resident of Florida since 1977, since retiring form the Ohio Public School System. She is the widow of the James M. Bogan, who passed away in 1990. She enjoyed life and people. Survivors include two sons, Jim and John, their wives, Susan and Shirley; a sister, June Dalton, her husband, Sam; grandsons, Robert, John, and Gary; granddaughters, Debby and Emily; and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her two sisters, Christine Scourtes, Estelle Kavakos; beloved friend, Barbara Kerwin; niece, Mary Denise Greacen; nephew, Jimmy Reader; one grandniece; two grandnephews. Mr. Johnson was a resident of Valrico since 1978 after arriving from active duty in Japan. He graduated from St. Leo College Magna Cum Lada. He was also a Past Master of the Hillsborough Lodge No. 242 F.A.& M., and an investigator for the Internal Revenue Service. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant and also from the Dept. of Labor as an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Investigator. Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, 7 p.m., at Stowers Brandon Chapel. with the Reverend, Doctor John L. Giles officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-7 p.m.

LACASSE, Thomas Henry, 77, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002. Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Lorraine Bigelow; one stepdaughter, Jane McDonald; one brother, Robert LaCasse; two sisters, Elizabeth Loren, and Mary Ann Unz; four grandchildren, Tammy Johnson, Jennifer Klein, Jodi Warren, and Aimee Ford; seven great-grandchildren. Mr. LaCasse was a resident of Riverview for 12 years coming from Mexico originally from New York. He was Catholic, a member of the American Legion #5, the Moose Lodge, both of Riverview, and a member of I.B.E.W. Funeral services will be held Monday, (today) Nov. 25, 2002, 3 p.m. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Flowers will be accepted and those who wish may contribute to the Veterans Hospice Care in Thomas's memory.

LITTLETON, Charlotte S., 75, of Tampa passed away Thursday, November 21, 2002. She died peacefully at her son's home in Lutz with family at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James G. `Babe` Littleton, retired police chief of Tampa. She is survived by her son, Gary Littleton; daughter, Cynthia Clark; grandson, James Dunlap, III; sister-in-law, Alice Littleton; three great-grandchildren; nephew, Thomas Littleton; and several other nieces and nephews; and not to forget her little dog, Tina. She was born in Tampa, to the late Marion and William Sharpe. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her. She never lost the warm, loving, youthful attitude that made her such fun to be around and everyone that knew her loved her. She was a second mom to many, and special mention to those who were there for her most; including `son`, Anthony Henderson, Alice Littleton and Ruth Neece. She had lifelong friends that she spoke with almost everyday, some for 60 years. Evelyn, Claire, Miriam, and many others that she loved so deeply. Her wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery. A short memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Adams & Jennings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time to visit and share memories.

MELLODY, James, 63, of Tampa passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2002. A native of Scranton, Pa. he had resided here for 31 yrs. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Ch., and on the Endowment Board at Holy Rosary H.S., Scranton, Pa., his alma mater. He was the founder of Beff O'Brady's and his corporate office sponsored many tournaments and projects for contributions to the Shriner's Clubs, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and many others. Through the years he supported many high school sports teams and had a continuing interest in supporting the high school and youth athletics. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette, Tampa; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, James P. Mellody, Jr. and Tracy, Valrico and Sean Brady Mellody and Susan, Tampa; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and J.J. Massaro, Valrico; grandsons, J.J., Joshua Brady and Jacob Massaro and granddaughter, Gabrielle Mellody. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon. Interment will follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Riverview. Active casketbearers will be Dennis Rouse, Da ve Haney, Mike Drotos, Ed Phelps, Tom Ward and Pete Marchese. Honorary casketebearers will be Dennis Lynch, Wayne Vigil and Ken Hall.
