BURNS, Dalton, 83, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away on March 5, 2003 at his winter residence in Zephyrhills. Born in Dublin, Ontario and moved here 25 years ago from London, Ontario. He was a veteran of the Canadian Army. Survivors include his son, Joseph Burns of Zephyrhills; and one grandchild.

CARR, Cindy Marie, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2003. Beloved mother, cherished daughter, loyal sister, faithful friend. We will miss her. She is sruvived by her parents, Garland W. and Marilyn J. Carr of Zephyrhills; daughter, Elizabeth Marie Carr; finace, Dwight Jenkins; brothers, Wesley, David, Robert, and Garland, Jr., Carr; sister, Kim Fields; grandmother, Frances Legg; six nephews, two nieces. Cindy was a graduate of P.H.C.C. and was employed by Dade City Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Oakley Funeral Home on West 54. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

CRAIN, Eugene T., `Gene`, 46, of Webster, died Monday, March 10th, 2003 at home. A native of Dover Delaware, he moved to this area in 1993 from Arizona. He was self employed in the furniture repair industry. Survivors include his wife, Janet; five daughters, Valerie Crain and Kathy Crain; both of Dover, Delaware, Nicole Crain of Rocklin, Calif., Delaina Crain of Webster, and April Lynch of Webster; a son, Robert Rigney of Lakeland; his mother, Phyllis Flores of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Jeff King of Hartly, Delaware; a sister, Karen King of Felton, Delaware; his maternal grandparents, Doris Jones of Marydel, Delaware and Merrill Jones of Lake Wales, FL; and two granddaughters, Mikayla Allison and Heidi Lynch; both of Webster. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Crain, Sr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th, 2003. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th, 2003 with Chaplain Larry Stephens officiating.

Mrs. Downing was of Catholic faith. She is survived by one daughter, Tanya Brown of Lutz, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

She was a clerk in the business office at Community Hospital of New Port Richey; and Member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, New Port Richey. Survivors; son, John C., SR of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Sharon R. Young ofn New Port Richey; sister, Joan Daughtery of Baltimore; three grandsons. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, March 12, at 11:15 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to All Children's Hospital.

He retired as a long distance tractor-trailer car carrier driver, US Army Combat Veteran of Viet Nam (1966-67), served in National Guard 19 years, inn Philadelphia and Clearwater, Fla., where he became 100% Disabled; member V.F.W. Post #10167, Holiday - Past Commander; member American Legion Michael J. Cicero Post #173, Holiday; member AmVet Post 98, Holiday; Member D.A.V. Post #78, New Port Richey; member Non-Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA), New Port Richey; member Combat Infantry Association (CIA); member Viet Nam Association (National) and Viet Nan Veterans of America, Inc.; and of the Catholic faith. Survivors include parents, Joseph J., Sr. and Olga Hofelder of Holiday, Fla.; sister, Joan C. Gilbert of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 13, at the funeral home. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Mar. 14, at Dobies Funeral Home with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

Fisher of Holiday; mother and step-father, Nancy and Mac Plecker of Palm Harbor, Fla.; brothers, David Jones of Clearwater, Mark Jones of Holiday; sisters, Tammy Alfonso of Tampa, and Mary Gerrity of Palm Harbor; and step-granddaughter, Cassidy Hopkins of Pittsburgh, Pa.

SARGENT, Frances C. `Gerry`, 82, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Thursday, March 6, 2003 in Brandon, Fla. She was born in Bangor, Maine to Pearle W. `Woody` and Myrtle E. (Thompson) Carson and raised in the Baptist faith. She was a World War II Women's Army Air Corps veteran and had worked as a secretary for the City of Bangor School Department before moving here in 1986 from Bangor. Mrs. Sargent enjoyed working with the Red Cross for more than 25 years, teaching Sunday school, and gardening with different kinds of plants and flowers. On January 24th of this year, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, Robert `Bob` Sargent. Survivors include a son and daughter- in-law, George and Mary Ellen Sargent of Brandon, Fla.; two grandchildren, David Sargent and Jennifer Sargent both of Brandon, Fla.; a brother, John Carson of Boca Raton, Fla.; and a sister, Ferne of California. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2003, from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral at 11 a.m. at the Richey Chapel at Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home in Zephyrhills. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City.

UHLIR, Arthur E., 86, of Holiday, Fla., died Monday, Mar. 10, 2003, at Tarpon Bayou Center, Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was born in Illinois and moved here from Riverside, Ill., 22 years ago. He was an attorney for Olympic Savings & Loan Company in Berwyn, Ill.; US Army veteran of World War II; member Berwyn United Lutheran, Illinois; member of the Elks and Masons, Illinois; member of the Moose, Holiday; and an avid golfer. Survivors include son, Bruce Uhlir of Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Sandra Rausch of Woodridge, Ill.; sister, Marie Tucek of Holiday, Fla.; four grandchildren; and companion, Gene DiDonna of Holiday, Fla. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 13, at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes, Bartelt Road Chapel, Holiday.

UHLMAN, Morton J., 97, passed away on March 9, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred; son, Morton F. Uhlman of Nashua, NH; daughter, Lois Kell of Zephyrhills, Fla.; six grandchildren, who lovingly called him `Boppa`, Cindy and Eric Kell of Tampa, Fla., Lori Nakanishi of Eagle River, Alaska, Mark and Dean Uhlman of Merrimack, N.H., Stephen Harris of California; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Marion Johnson of Arizona. Mort was born in Thornton, N.H., and lived in Campton, N.H. He was employed by several wood-making product companies. He retired in 1968 from Rockwell International and has resided in Zephyrhills, Florida, in Betmar since 1973. He enjoyed raking golf balls, playing golf, crafts, fishing, hunting and enjoying his `Rum and Coke`. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Club House #2 in Betmar Acres Mobile Home Park.

She was a bookkeeper. Survivors; husband of fifty-four years, Richard; sons, Richard T. and Thomas J. Whaley; both of Escambia County; two grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Burial will take place in New Jersey.

Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Latella and husband, James of Port Richey, Fla.; son, Thomas Wilbur of Stanhope, N.J.; sisters, Eileen Wilkenson of Indiana and Mary Dumphy of Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Tara Dehler, Casey Dehler, Angela Lash, and Thomas Wilbur; all of New Jersey; one great-grandchild, Wayne Gregory Lash, Jr. of New Jersey. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Church, 8014 S.R. 52, Hudson, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12020 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.

WOJACK, Zenon Pepe F., 75, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2003 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and came from Chicago 16 years ago. He was a retired elevator repairman, of the Catholic faith, was a US Army and US Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the US Marine Corps League, Pot #567, New Port Richey, Fla. Survivors include sons, Mark Wojack of Westchester, Fla.; and Alfred Joseph Wojack of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sister, Lorraine Koconda of Riverside, Illinois; and a cousin, Ethel Haight of Spring Hill, Fla.

He was born February 14, 1919 in Lake City, Tenn., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Knoxville, Tenn. He was a retired Minister and a member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as Associate Pastor. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Northside Baptist Church. Friends may call two hours prior to service time, from 6-8 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Tennessee.
