He retired as a Bar Code Project Manager for Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Debra McKinney, Elaine Mannes and husband, Gregory, and Janis McKinney; two sons, Robert and wife, Michelle McKinney, II, and Greg McKinney and wife, Tammy; four grandchildren. Memorial Service 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla., with Dr. Wayne Knoll officiating. MINYARD, Benny Ray, of Bartow died March 16, 2003 is survived by a loving family. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Vineyard Church of God 490 W. Vine Street Bartow, FL.

OWEN, Dean W., Sr., Major, USAF, Retired, 79, of Tampa passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2003. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Melba J. Owen, and is survived by his children: Dean W. Owen, Jr. of Morehead, Ky., James Michael Owen of Montgomery, Ala., Robert Wayne Owen and Kimberly M. Whitten, of Tampa; eight grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. He was a member of Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Tampa, and of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Franklin, N.C., he was a retired pilot in the USAF. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 7 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue with Rev. David Haara, officiating. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 16190 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33647.

POELVOORDE, Albert, 81, passed away March 15, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret; two sons, three daughters, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. The family held a private service. SZADA, Jerry, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Ruskin, Fla. died Monday, March 10, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospice Care Center in Milwaukee, Wis. He was born December 23,1948 in Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. Szada, Sr. and mother Leona Szada. Survivors include his daughter, Carrie Pflugradt, a granddaughter Marlene, a grandson, Jerry, all of Wisconsin; three brothers, Tommy Szada, Jr., John Szada of Riverview, Larry Szada of Milwaukee, Wis.; five nieces, three great-nephews and two great-nieces, all of Riverview. A Private wake will be held in Wisconsin with interment to be at Keene's Cemetery in Manatee County.

UNGER, Myrtle, 92, of Tampa passed away March 16, 2003. She is survived by her son, Ken Mamula of Tampa; daughter, Viola Kelchner of Palm Springs, Calif.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19 from 10- 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Interment at Orange Hill Cemetery.

WALLACE, Dean E., Jr., 54, of Gibsonton, passed away March 12, 2003 in Tampa. A native of Chicago, Mr. Wallace had graduated from Roosevelt military Academy, where he had played drums in the school band. He had joined the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego from 1967-1971. He then resided in Los Angeles for the rest of his 15 years in California, where he had worked as a commercial printer. After a short stay with his sister in North Carolina, he moved to this area in 1983 and resumed his printing career. He had a second career in interstate trucking. One of his favorite past-times was riding his Harley. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean E. Wallace, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Wallace of Sun City Center; sister, Colette Newman of Winston-Salem, N.C.; nephew, Jason Newman and his wife, Rani of Louisville, Ky.; great-niece, Rozlyn Newman; great-nephew, Maxamillion Newman; and his beloved companion, Miss Kitty, who now lives with his close friends Denny and Teresa Myers. Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. A visitation for family and friends was held on Tuesday evening at Lewers Funeral Home in Ruskin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Lewers Funeral Home. Committal services will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Long time resident of Tampa, Fla., she is survived by her niece, Jennifer Gladson; great-niece, Amanda `Wee-One`; nephew, Doug Sims, sister-in-law, Nancy Sims; and many close friends. A celebration of Bobbi's life will be held at 7415 Seagull Way, Tampa, Fla. March 29, 2003 at 3 p.m.

He retired in 1984 as a mechanical parts inspector for the City of Philadelphia Water Department (16 years of service); Army Veteran of World War II; and a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church, Philadelphia, Pa. Survivors include wife of 52 years, Ruth Anna Chalmers of New Port Richey; son, Raymond D. Chalmers of Philadelphia, Pa.; daughter, Marie T. COLL, Margaret H., 79, of Port Richey, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at her residence. Born in Brooklyn, New York she moved to Florida in 1973 from East Meadow, New York. She was the nursing supervisor at Community Hospital, New Port Richey, and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Joseph (Dick) Coll of Port Richey, Florida; a son, Richard Coll of Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Peggy Pappas of Hudson, Florida, and Yolanda Coll of Port Richey, Florida; three grandchildren, Ryan Coll, Angela Caliendo and Cicelia Coll. She was predeceased by a grandson, Gerard Langella. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, March 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Florida. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Hudson, Florida. FARAH, Rochelle Rita, 66, of Zephyrhills died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at her residence. She was born in Windsor Ontario, Canada and has been a winter been visitor with her husband since 1976. She was an housewife, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodges in Zephyrhills. Mrs. Farah is survived by her husband, Peter; three sons, James and wife Brenda, Gordon and wife Dawb, and Robert and wife Susan; six children, Shawn, Timothy, Christopher, Michelle, Christine and Jessica all of Ontario, Canada.

HALL, Emma Louise, `Louise`, 63, of Dade City died Tuesday, March 18, 2002. She was born January 16, 1940 in Crenshaw County, Alabama to James Thomas and Gladys (Messick) Hill and raised in the Baptist faith. She has made Dade City her home since 1961. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, William Ezra Hall of Dade City; a son, William Thomas Hall of Dade City; three daughters, Brenda Lynn (and Terry) McMillan of Webster, Fla., Tammie Denise Messick of Spring Hill, Fla. and Cheryl Lynn Messick of Spring Hill, Fla.; four grandsons, Terry, Joshua, Jonathan and Adrian; four granddaughters, Jerica, Megan, Jacey and Brittany- Emma; and brother, Tom (and Peggy) Messick of Bushnell.

HINMAN, Genevieve Belle 69, of Dade City, passed away March 13, in Dade City. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Hinman of Dade City; three sons, Edward Hinman of New Port Richey, Jeffrey Reed and John Hinman; both of Dade City; two daughters, Barbara Whittaker of New Port Richey and Terri Hinman of Dade City; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Bernice Rae of Lewis Run, Pa., and Carol Skaggs of Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Hinman. A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, March 22,2003 at Trilby United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hinman was born September 6, 1933 in Kinzu, Pennsylvania to Harlow and Ruth (Bennett) Crooks, she came to this area 19 years ago from Salamanca, New York. She was a past member of the Dade City Moose Lodge, a Homemaker and a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Luckett.

She was a Christian by faith, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Chester McKay Post 7987. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her parents, Carl and Margaret Duernberger of West Bend; three sons, Dick Rehm of Tampa, Brian Rehm and Bruce Rehm both of New Port Richey; a daughter, Mary Ann Schacht of West Bend; a brother, James Duernberger and a sister Elizabeth Wachs both of West Bend; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, New Port Richey.

McFADDEN, John J., age 92, of Marlton, N.J., formerly of Queens N.Y. and New Port Richey Fla., passed away on December 18, 2002. Beloved husband of Elsie McFadden (nee Scheer). He is survived by three sons, Stephen (Elvia) McFadden of Houston, Texas , John (Margaret) McFadden of Amherst, Va., and William (Kathleen) McFadden of Leesburg, Va.; three daughters, Maureen (Gerard) Muro of Lloyd Harbor, N.Y. and Jean Gorman of Marlton, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a retired auditor for the 1st City National Bank of N.Y. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Queens, N.Y. and New Port Richey, Fla. and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Post, New Port Richey, Fla. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Mary Springdale Rd. Cherry Hill. STRICKLAND, Charles W. `Peanut Charlie`, 63, of Thonotosassa, formerly of Dade City, died Saturday February 22, 2003. He is survived by his two sons, Timmy and Ricky and their mother Faye; two grand children, Britney and Ricky, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Arlene; two nephews, Brian and Eric, all of Dade City. He also leaves behind a lot of good friends who gathered around the fire and enjoyed themselves on the hill. It gives the family much pleasure to have had so many people calling and expressing their sorrow at our loss. Charlie was loved so much by the people who knew him on the hill and at Circle K. We also were deeply touched by the flowers that appeared in memory of him at his usual parking space at Circle K and the donations given to provide a marker for Charlie's final resting place. Again we thank you all. A memorial for `Peanut Charlie` will be held Sunday March 23, 2003 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at his residence where a covered dish dinner will be held. Please bring eating utensils and chairs.

SUGGS, Mary E., `Liz`, 70, of Dade City, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at home. A native of Opp, Alabama, she moved to this area in 1969 from Homestead, Florida. She was a waitress at the Crest Restaurant as well as William's Lunch on Limoge. She retired from St. Leo University in 1997 and was Baptist. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Donna Waldrup of Opp, Alabama, Selina Marie Johnson of Bainbridge Island, Washington , Willie Amanda Hughes of Dade City and Mia Ann Suggs of Dallas, Texas ; a son, James Wesley Suggs of Dade City; her mother, Mary Tolson of Opp, Alabama; her siblings, HK Tolson, Dot Ennis and Willie Merle Anderson, all of Opp, and Tommy Tolson of Anchorage, Alaska; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 5 p.m. with Pastor Matkin Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
