SMITH, Ruben Albert, 58, of Lakeland, died Mar. 16, 2003. He is survived by three brothers, Harry Smith, Jimmy Smith and Bobby Jeffres all of Lakeland.

TOOLE, Evelyn Beatrice `Granny`, 87, of Keysville, passed away March 19, 2003 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She had lived in the area since 1924 coming from Nashville, Tennessee. For 25 years she worked for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. as a sectionizer in the citrus industry and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church since 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Toole, Jr. She is survived by two sons, John Alfred Toole and wife Susan of Keysville, and James L. `Jimmy` Toole and wife Nancy of Keysville; four daughters, Carol Sheffield and husband Floyd of Winter Haven, Virginia Jenkins and husband Richard of Keysville, Geraldine Hamilton and husband Bobby of Keysville, and Janice Jenkins and husband Alvin of Lake Wales; one sister, Jewel Billingsley and husband Woody of Riverview; twenty-nine grandchildren; and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday March 21, 2003 at 10 a.m. from Welcome Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Thornton and Rev. Rick Scarlett officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening (tonight) 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilkerson worked for Sears Department Store before retirement and was a member of the Hillsborough Westside Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Louis Wilkerson, Tampa; daughter, Patricia Acton, Columbia, S.C.; sisters, Ann Barber, Jacksonville, Fla. and Peggy Thompson, Inverness, Fla.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

WRIGHT, Ruth M., 86, of Tampa passed away on March 19, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Marlin G. Wright; a daughter, Eileen Calloway; two grandsons, Adam Wayne and Mark Wade Calloway, two great-grandchildren and two sisters. Mrs. Wright was a native of Pennsylvania and had resided in Tampa since 1950. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, march 21, 2003 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening.

ZOBOTT JR., Richard Harvey, 81, US Army Veteran passed away at his residence in Brooksville, Fla. on March 16, 2003. He is survived by a companion, Anna Cucchiarro; three sons, Jeff, Keith and Richard Zobott Jr.; a daughter, Pam Peters, a sister, Geri Fabisch and seven grandchildren.

BOUCH, Delourse E., 84, of New Port Richey, died Mar. 19, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., she moved here in 1983 from Milwaukee, Wis. She is survived by three sons, Harold Brlecic of Hudson, Fla., Jack Brlecic of New Port Richey, and Robert Brlecic of Menomonee, Wis.; and eight grandchildren.

CASSELLS, Ellen Mary Victoria, 100, of Holiday, Fla., died Thursday, March 20, 2003. She was born in Campbeltown, Scotland and moved to Holiday from Farmington, Mich. in 1960. She was a homemaker, and a member of Living Word Church, New Port Richey. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Stucky of Holiday, Ellen Gillan of S. Lyon, Mich., Margaret MacDonald of Winter Haven, Fla., and Irene Barnum of Redford, Mich.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom. Visitation will be Friday, Mar. 21, from 4-8 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Michigan. She was an housewife, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodges in Zephyrhills. Mrs. Farah is survived by her husband, Peter; three sons, James and wife Brenda, Gordon and wife Dawn, and Robert and wife Susan; six grandchildren, Shawn, Timothy, Christopher, Michelle, Christine and Jessica all of Ontario, Canada.

She was the deli manager for a supermarket, and a member of Suncoast Pentecostal Church, Hudson. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Robert Harbison, New Port Richey; two sons, Robert D. Harbison of Manassas, Va., and Kevin Mark Harbison of Hullica Hill, N.J.; three daughters, Deborah L. Mahoney of New Port Richey, Kathy Starr Griffin of Hudson, and Leslie Su Battaglia of Glassboro, N.J.; mother, Sarah Parham of National Park, N.J.; three brothers, James Clark of Thorofare, N.J., Ralph Clark of Oklahoma, and Joseph Clark of National Park, N.J.; two sisters, June Bonvillian of National Park, N.J., and Joy Friebel of Thorofare, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood Church of God, 12637 Pony Lane, Hudson. AFLAGWAV KING, John H., 60, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Dade City, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at home after a lengthy illness. He moved to this area in 1949 from his native Ohio. A decorated US Army Veteran of Vietnam, he served with the 2/35th Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster for Valor. He was a member of the Central Christian Church in St. Petersburg as well as the Red Cross. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by both family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Catherine; his children, Gloria Hoffman and her husband, Will of St. Petersburg, Johnny King of St. Petersburg, Alicia Nix and her husband, Bobby of Fort Rucker, Alabama, David King and his wife, Melissa of 68th Med., Hawaii, Carol Lynn King of St. Petersburg, and Kimberly King and her husband, Vince of Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; four brothers, David King and his wife, Janet of Dade City, Danny King of Tampa, Bill King of Dade City and Joe King of Zephyrhills; a sister, Margaret Flook and her husband, Herb of Land O' Lakes; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joe Bedi officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 23, 2003 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name should be given to the Hospice chapter of your choice.

He was a woodworking craftsman. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kinney; son, Christopher Kinney; daughters, Andrea Hurst, and Jennifer and Emily Mehlrose; mother, Evelyn Kinney; brother, Harold Kinney; two sisters, Valerie Unger and Gladys Carnahan; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Beacon Community Church, 9025 Star Trail, New Port Richey, FL 34654.

KOSIK, Robert Rudolph, 77, of Holiday, Fla., died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey. He was born in New York City, New York and moved to Holiday from New York in 1991. He was a retired tool and die maker, and a Navy Veteran of World War II. He loved nature. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Kosik of Holiday; son, Michael Kosik of Flushing, N.Y .; three daughters, Christine Cerny of Manhattan, N.Y., Diana Kosik of Holiday, Fla., and Sharon Ackerman of Suffern, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Port Richey from Troy, Mich. 15 years ago. He was an auto mechanic, and a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II (recipient of Purple Heart), of the Catholic faith, and a Life Member Marine Corps League Holiday Detachment #567. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Josephine Miskowitz of Port Richey; three daughters, Mary Landsack of Lake Orion, Mich., Suzanne Radabaugh of Lake Orion, Mich., and Paula Martinez of New Port Richey; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be Friday, March 21, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.

Survivors include three sons, William of Hudson, Robert of Pasadena, Texas , and Roger of Shady Hill, Fla.; a sister, Stella Waugh of Columbia, Pa.; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 22, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born in Keene, New Hampshire and moved to Hudson from Pensacola, Fla. 15 years ago. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two sons, Vaughn Berkman of Keene, N.H., and Cecil Berkman of Kentucky;two daughters, Tonya Berkman of Keene, N.H., and Sheena Berkman of Tennessee; sister, Judy Dick of Plant City, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

SMITH, Mary Bessenger Smith, 73, of Dade City, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 19, 2003. She was born on July 19, 1929, in Floral City. Florida and lived most of her life in Dade City. Mary Reid attended Stetson University and graduated from the Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans. She established the Little School Kindergarten and taught for many years, touching the lives of numerous children and their families. She retired after ten years on the staff of Zephyrhills High School. Mary Reid was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, serving primarily in the Children's Ministry. Mary Reid is survived by her husband, Terry Smith; her mother, Pearl Knight Bessenger; brother, Frank Bessenger (Melinda); daughters, Mary Leslie Olive (Jim) and Harriet Chase (Steve), sons Henry Auvil and Jon Auvil (Leslie); and nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Haley, Carlyn, and William Olive, Julia Knight and Reid Auvil, and Cadis, Sage, and Ivy Chase. A service to celebrate Mary Reid's life will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City. Final arrangements are pending. Donations in Mary Reid's memory may be made to the Children's Christian Education Fund at St. Mary's Church.

SUGGS, Mary E., `Liz`, 70, of Dade City, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at home. A native of Opp, Alabama, she moved to this area in 1969 from Homestead, Florida. She was a waitress at the Crest Restaurant as well as William's Lunch on Limoge. She retired from St. Leo University in 1997 and was Baptist. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Donna Waldrup of Opp, Alabama, Selina Marie Johnson of Bainbridge Island, Washington , Willie Amanda Hughes of Dade City and Mia Ann Suggs of Dallas, Texas ; a son, James Wesley Suggs of Dade City; her mother, Mary Tolson of Opp, Alabama; her siblings, HK Tolson, Dot Ennis and Willie Merle Anderson, all of Opp, and Tommy Tolson of Anchorage, Alaska; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 5 p.m. with Pastor Matkin Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.

UHLE, Harry G., 92, of Zephyrhills died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mr. Uhle was a retired mechanic working with heavy equipment. He was a member of Village Lodge #26 in Bowdoinham, Maine, member of the Kora Temple in Lewiston, Maine and past President of the Merrymetting Club. Mr. Uhle is survived by four sons, Stanley Uhle of Bowdoinham, Maine, Richard Uhle of Emmaus, Pennsylvania , John Uhle of Zephyrhills, Florida and Michael Uhle of Bingham, Maine; two daughters, Barbara DeGood of Virginia Beach, Virginia and June Matson of Elliot, Maine; one sister, Bertha Albrecht of Poughkeepsie, New York; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Uhle will be held Friday March 21, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home in Zephyrhills with Pastor George White officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City.

She was born Oct. 25, 1917 in Buffalo, N.Y. and came here 30 years ago from Hamburg, N.Y. She was Lutheran and a homemaker. She was a volunteer with the Pasco County Sheriffs Department at Safety Town. Survivors include three sons, John of Hamburg, Robert of Lakeview, N.Y., and Michael of Dothan, Ala.; a daughter, Janice Cantie of New Port Richey; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
