She is survived by son, Robert LaClair, Sr., of Malone, Fla.; brothers, Robert Smith of Watertown, N.Y., and George Smith of Bedford, England; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Whitfield Funeral Home. Internment will be in New York. Mrs. Howard was born June 5, 1920 in Watertown, N.Y., to Charles Roy and Mabel (Williams) Smith and came to this area in 1997 from Tampa. She was a meat packer for Lykes-Pasco Industries and a Methodist.

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, at 11 a.m. from First Baptist Church of Brandon with Dr. J. Thomas Green, III Senior Pastor officiating, assisted by Dr. Fred Boehmer, former pastor. He is survived by his son, Jerry and wife Sharon of Brandon; daughters, Martha Stephens of Inverness and Jo Ann Roberts of Land O' Lakes; brother, Billy of Sarasota; sister, Frankie Tavormina of Brandon; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to LifePath Hospice, Pearl Team. Private internment. EADS, Edith, 86, of Tampa, passed away Friday, May 16, 2003. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Eads. She is survived by her son, Jeff of Brandon; daughter, Jennifer Million and husband, Jon of Brandon; and five grandchildren, Robyn, Robert and Michael Eads, Christina Graves and husband Adam and Danny Million; and one great-grandson, Dillon Graves. Edith was a very caring and happy person who will be missed by all who knew her. She has resided in Tampa area since 1961 coming from her native, Corbin, Ky. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon and a member of Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club. KINKA, Leo Jr., 52, of Riverview, formerly of Apollo Beach, Fla., passed away at his home May 21, 2003, under the care of LifePath Hospice, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Pennsylvania and a graduate of Philadelphia University. He was also a life member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was a Cost Accountant with Diamond Products in Brandon, Fla. He attended Oak Grove Church of God and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Apollo Beach. In addition, he served as a Rector and Team of Kairos Ministry. He served in the Via De Cristo Community and the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Wendy Ward Kinka; two sons, Michael Kinka, and Steven Kinka and his wife Diane; three granddaughters, Lauren Kinka, Destiny Kinka and Sarah Kinka; his parents, Leo and Mary Kinka of Cape May, N.J.; his brother, David Kinka and wife Terri of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.; a sister, Arleen Kinka of Downington, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Beverly Ristine and husband Ken; two brothers-in-law, Richard and Randy Ward; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of his Life service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 7 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 US 41 North in Apollo Beach, Fla. and at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill, Pa., at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Frederick Taylor for his excellent care of Leo. PERERA, Kydia `Kitty` L., age 62, of Tampa passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003. She was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of Sisters of the Nile in Panama City, FL. She is survived by her mother Olga Rocha of Tierra Verde; son, Henry `Hank` James Mortellaro and wife Debbie of Brandon; daughter, Suzanne `Sue` Darlene Mortellaro and companion Christopher Edward Forni; brother, Eliseo `Jr.` Cubero of Minnisota; grandchildren, Melissa Marie Randall and husband Reggie, Lisa Marie and Matthew James Mortellaro; great granddaughter, Faith Nicole Randall. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

ALONSO, Pedro, `Pete`, 76, passed away, Saturday, May 17, 2003 in Brandon. He was born in West Tampa and grew up in Ybor City. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Audrey, married 52 years; six children[x.31 four sons, David, Bruce, Glenn and Wayne Alonso and two daughters, Deborah Alonso-Harrison and Sondra Alonso; four grandchildren, Craig, Kristine, Jacob and Callie Alonso; sister, Luisa Permuy; sister-in-law, Lois A. Pierstorff; cousins, Carmen Torres and Maria Pescador; and several cousins in Spain and Argentina. Pete served in the Merchant Marines in World War II and the US Army in the Korean War. He served 30 distinguished years as a Flight Engineer for the major airlines, National Airlines and retired from Pan American Airli nes in 1989. After retirement Pete continued his love to travel by camping throughout the United States and Canada. He was a loving father and dedicated to his wife and children. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Bell Shoals Baptist Church with interment to follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. DIETZMAN, Louise, 92, of North Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 18, 2003 at her son's home. She was born and raised in Nicholls, Ga. where she attended school. She married Mr. Wilbur Dietzman and moved to Tampa where she resided for many years. She then moved to Keystone Heights where she lived for about 10 years and from there she moved into her son and daughter-in-law's home. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Dietzman and survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Jayne Dietzman of North Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Jenkins of High Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren, David (Beth) Jenkins, Deborah Jenkins (Gordon) Jones and Ralph Dietzman; five great-grandchildren, Mark and Max Jones, Linda and Andrew Jenkins and Andrea Deaupied; and one great-great-grandchild, Carleigh Welch. ESGRO, Nancy, 60 of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003. She was born in Rochester, N.Y. and lived in the Bay area since 1980. Nancy was Facilities Coordinator at St. Paul Catholic Church for 22 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Robert, Jr.; daughter, Mary Melching and husband Ted; sister, Patricia Soles; and two grandchildren, Shelby and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Padilla. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church with a Mass to follow. Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Paul Catholic Church or LifePath Hospice of Hillsborough County.

HESTBECK, Stephen Leslie, son of Marion E. and Betty F. Hestbeck, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the age of 58. Mr. Hestbeck was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 26, 1944 and has been a Florida resident for over twenty-five years. He Graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1967 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business as a Phi Delta Theta Fraternity Member and proudly served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran. Mr. Hestbeck was a member of the N.R.A., F.T.R., and A.M.A. He was a lifetime motorcycle enthusiast, and a devoted family man who dearly loved all of his family and friends. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. His kindness, humor and love will be forever missed. He is survived by his two brothers, John M. Hestbeck of Titusville, Florida and Richard A. Hestbeck of St. Augustine, Florida; three children, Eric V. Hestbeck and Jeffrey S. Hestbeck of Tampa, Florida and Rhonda H. Mancinelli of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be laid to rest with honor at the Florida National Cemetery on Friday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m. (352) 793-7740. Lomond of Los Angeles, Calif., Mark and Kyra Hudson of W. Virginia, Chris and Ginger Hudson of Hiram, Ga., Patrick and Eileen Hudson of Millbrook, Ala., and David B. Shepherd of Hiram, Ga.; daughters, Lisa and Scott Ogden of Los Angeles, Calif., Bonnie and Phil Low of Lakewood, Colo., Alicia Absher of Kennesaw, Ga., and Sharee and Joe Peacock of Kennesaw, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, Ga. with Reverend Adrian Pleus officiating. MEYER, Donald W., of Sun City Center, died April 25, 2003 at age 87, of complications following a fall. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marion; son, Douglas; and sister, Juanita Quigley. Don Meyer had a long career with Illinois Bell Telephone in the Chicago area, retiring to Florida in 1980. A veteran of the Navy, Mr. Meyer is interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

A native of Primavera Valle, Colombia and resident of Tampa for the past 10 years, Mr. Muneton is survived by his wife, Miriam; daughter, Angela Soto; sons, Alex and John Muneton; brother, Abel Muneton; sisters, Zenaida and Lina Muneton; and grandchildren, Danielle, Michelle, Alison and Natalia.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Fla. RANDLES, Wesley C., 86, of Massachusetts and formerly of Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. He was born in Kent, Ohio on March 8, 1917. Growing up in St. Petersburg, he was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School. On June 1, 1940 he married the former Blanche L. Bean. He was employed with the Raytheon Company as an Electrical Engineer retiring in 1980. He served his country as a civilian employee in the South Pacific during World War II. An Amateur Radio Operator for many years, his call letters were W4COW. He was a member of Alpha Lodge AF&AM as well as the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Shrine and The Order of The Eastern Star. His wife, Blanche L. Randles; and one daughter, Diane Kjeldson, both of Amherst, survive him. There are no services. Amherst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made in his memory to QCWA Memorial Scholarship Fund in c/o Leland Smith, 10 Hawthorne Drive Harrison, Arkansas 72601 or Shriners Hospital For Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.

THOMPSON, Carol Leigh, of Plant City, died May 19, 2003. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Poole of Tampa; brothers, Steve of Plant City and Melvin of Lakeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
