MULEY, Florence LaBarbera, 90, born in Tampa, December 14, 1913, passed away May 31, 2003 at Manor Care where she was given loving care and known by all who cared for her as `Mamita`. Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Muley, Sr., of 60 years and the recent death of her daughter-in-law, Helen D. Muley which broke her heart, Mrs. Muley is survived by her son, Anthony Muley, Jr.; grandchildren, Dennis and wife, Sharon, Dean and wife, Trish, Darren and David Muley; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ryan, Hayley, MaKenzie and Trinity; brother, Bennie Barbiere; sister, Josephine L. Varselona; and many nieces and nephews, especially Judy Wallowiez. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home with entombment to follow in L'Unione Italiana Cemetery Mausoleum. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Muley. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11 a.m. until time of services at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home

RUNNELS, Mark Stephen, 48, of Tampa, died May 27, 2003 at his residence under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Germany, he came to Florida in 1969 from State Island, N.Y. He has lived in Tampa since 1984. He was self-employed and worked in the retail industry. He had an avid love for music and was a creative musician. He is survived by wife, Betty; two daughters, Carrie Runnels and Heather R. Kovalsky and her husband Robert Kovalsky, all of Tampa; parents, Dr. J.L. and Laverne Runnels; two sisters, Constance Leggett and Cynthia Sanderson, all of Laurel, Miss.; two brothers, John Runnels of Houston, Texas and Richard Runnels of Cincinnati, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

SINE, Louis (Jim), Jr., 63, of New Port Richey, died May 15, 2003. He is survived by his loving family. Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. Morgan Funeral Home, New Port Richey.

SPARKMAN, Nancy English `Nan`, 99, of Plant City, passed away May 30, 2003. Mrs. Sparkman was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour; son, Roger Sparkman; son-in-law, James W. Roberts; five brothers and four sisters. `Nan` was a lifelong resident of the area and active in her church, being a Charter member of Springhead Baptist Church and a member of First Baptist Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Rodney Sparkman and wife Betty, David Sparkman and wife Betsy, and Mike Sparkman and wife Diane, all of Plant city; two daughters, Marilyn Roberts of Plant City and Julie Roberts and husband Paul of Valrico; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James W. Roberts, Phillip D. Roberts, Mark Sparkman, Todd Sparkman, Tom Sparkman, Chris Sparkman, Rick Roberts, Steve Roberts, and Brad Roberts. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church in Plant City with Dr. Ron Churchhill, Rev. Richard H. Bills, and Rev. Tommy Warnock officiating. Internment will follow in Springhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday afternoon 2:30-4:00 p.m. at the church prior to service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Plant City Educational Building Fund.

She is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Sharon of Spring Hill; sons, Steven of Riverview, Douglas of Valrico and Richard of Ft. Worth, Texas ; granddaughter, Jennifer; grandsons, Jeffrey, Kyle and Benjamin; great-granddaughters, Kaylee and Amanda; and sisters, Isabel Brown of Woodbridge, Va. and Flossie Bennett of Fairfax, Va. The family will receive visitors from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2003 at the funeral home with interment to follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hernando/Pasco Hospice.

VALDES, Frank J., 68, of St. Pete Beach, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at LifePath Hospice House at Sun City Center. Born in Tampa he came here in 1972. He was a twenty-five year plus partner with Garcia & Ortiz, P.A., a St. Petersburg-Tampa CPA firm. An avid boater, he was past Commmodore of the Pass-A-Grille Yacht Club and former member of the Suncoast Cruise Club, W.J. Power Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was past President of the Hillsborough Community College Foundation, Inc., and a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, the American Legion and the Centro Asturiano. He was past President of the International Order of the Blue Gavel, an organization of past commodores from yacht clubs with 4,500 members from all over the world. A musician in his younger days, he performed for Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy while principal clarinetist with the U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants in Washington , D.C. He also performed with the Tampa Philharmonic and several other orchestra and dance bands, including his own. Survivors include his companion of many years, Barbara Jean Wilson; two daughters, Gina L. Valdes Foley and Melinda E. Valdes; and a granddaughter, Nancy Alexandr a Foley, all of St. Petersburg. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Pass-A-Grille Community Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Frank J. Valdes to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

He attended Robinson High in his school years and was engaged in Lawn & Landscaping, until his back injury two and a half years ago. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Wise, New Albany, Ind., Mrs. Nancy Susan Hostler, Apopka, Fla., Ms. Deborah Bill, Clearwater, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Earl (Vanessa) Hayes, Tampa, Fla.; and three nephews and four nieces. Viewing and visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 2, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by a Christian service conducted by Reverend Dr. Robert A. Plank at Marsicano-B. VIDAL, Maria Julia, age 96, of Tampa, passed away May 29, 2003. A native of Banes, Oriente, Cuba and resident of Tampa since 1980, Mrs. Vidal was a member of the First Spanish Presbyterian Church of Tampa and is survived by her daughter, Reina Geada; sons, Delio, Arles and Raul Arochena; brothers, Luis, Jose and Argimiro Vidal; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

WOHL, Esther Simon, 96, of Tampa, passed away May 29, 2003 at Menorah Manor. Mrs Wohl was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Isidor Wohl. She was born in Pennsylvania ,and moved to Tampa when she married in 1927. Esther is survived by her daughter, Tanya W. Schwartz Feldman, son, James Louis Wohl, both of Tampa; brother, Abram Simon; wife, Fay of Pennsylvania ; four grandchildren, Dr. Jan Schwartz and husband Jim Reid, Lawrence Wohl Schwartz and wife Lisa, Phillip Joesph Schwartz and wife Kim, and Kenneth Schwartz, wife Michelle; nephews, Jesse Reisner, J.D., Ron Naveen, Dr. Gary Simon, Maury Simon and Michael Landau; nieces, Dr. Ellin Reisner, JoAnne Naveen Reif, Kathy Simon Lieberman, Laurie Simon Goldman, Carol Levy Schwartzman, and Carol Simon Rosenbloom; eight great-grandchildren, Lisa and Robert Scheibly, Hannah and Ethan Schwartz, Alexander and Andrew Schwartz, and Kyle and Sydney Schwartz; godson, Saul Rachelson; and her dear lifetime friend; Mary Perzia. Esther volunteered for the Red Cross and the World War II Air Raid Filter Center. She was named one of Tampa's best dressed women by the Tampa Women's Club first Fashionollia in 1947; she was appointed by the Florida governor to the Hillsborough County Welfare Board in 1953. Esther served as president of the Beta Opera Society; she was an active member of the Tampa Women's Club, the Davis Island Garden Club and the Tropical Garden Club. She was devoted to her faith and was a board member of the Tampa Jewish Social Services and a member of the Tampa section of the National Council of Jewish Wome n, Rodeph Sholom Sisterhood, and Congregation Rodeph Sholom where her family was among the founders. She was loved deeply by family and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 2, 2003, 10:00 AM at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery. Rabbi Marc Sack and Cantor Moshe Friedler will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Menorah Manor, Alafia Group Home of Tampa, or Congregation Rodeph Sholom.

BENNETT, Harry F., 89, of Bayonet Point, passed away on May 29, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Trenton, N.J., and came here 1n 1977 from Morrisville, Pa. He was a salesman for the Borden Dairy Co., in, N.J. Mr. Bennett was a Presbyterian. He is survived by son, Bruce H. Bennett of Acworth, Ga.; daughters, Virginia Porubski of Port Charlotte and Constance Wiemkem of Newton, Pa.; eight grandchildren;and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor in 1977. Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2003 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Fla. Where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Kenneth Gruebel of St. Marks Presbyterian Church. Entombment to follow at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, Fla.

FALK, Fred, 87, of Zephyrhills, died May 31, 2003 at his residence. Born in Port Huron, Mich., he and his wife, Margaret moved to Zephyrhills 15 years ago from Flint, Mich. Mr. Falk was a salesman, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II, a member of the Third Avenue Baptist Church in Flint, Mich., and he attended First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sisters, Dorothy Albert, Lydia Albert, and Amelia Newton, all of Port Huron, Mich., and Maria Craig of Davidson, Mich.; brother, John Falk of Yale, Mich.; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Mr. Falk was predeceased by a sister Theresa and a son Carl David Falk. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.

She was a telephone operator for Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va. She was an honorably discharged Navy Veteran serving during World War II, and a Roman Catholic. She is survived by her husband, James F. Greyard Sr., of New Port Richey; son, James F. Greyard Jr. of Huntington, West Va.; daughters, Mary E. Fucci of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Cheryl Greyard of Altamonte Springs, and Cindy Greyard of New Port Richey; brother, Lawrence Ryan of Deerfield Beach; sisters, Margaret Barnard of Pa., Marie Whyte and Josephine Ryan both of Mass.; and six grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2003 at 11:20 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, New Port Richey. Interment will take place in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey. She was born December 5, 1909 in Morehead, Ky., to William A. and Mary Ellen (Steagall) of Primitive Baptist Church in Dade City, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her son, Harold `Steve` Stevens; husband, Floyd Hold; husband; Willie `Frank` Davis; daughter, Barbara Yingling; and grandson, Steven `Mark` Brock. Survivors include son-in-law, Thomas Yingling of Dade City; two granddaughters, Jessie Riley and Kimberly Tait both of Dade City; seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Chris, Christian, T.J., Brittany, Cory, and Josh; great-great-grandson, Logan; brother, Darvin Fisher; sister, Lucinda Smith of Zephyrhills. Family will receive friends Monday (tonight) from 6-8 p.m. at Coleman & Ferguson Funeral Home. LYONS, Roger L., 63, of Port Richey, passed away May 30, 2003 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. He was born in Ames, Iowa and moved to this area in 1978 from Exton, Pa. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service and a member of the Methodist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lyons of Port Richey; sons, Kenny Lyons of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Richard Lyons of Port Richey; daughters, Irene Lafferty of Drexel Hill, Pa., Patricia Spatz and Tracy Gates, both of New Port Richey; mother, Pauline Lyons of Drexel Hill, Pa.; sister Judy Benson of Ill.; and 12 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 3 p.m. at North/Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey. The Rev. Robin Benson of Hinckley United Methodist Church of Hinckley, Ill., will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey.

She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
