WISEMAN, Darlene Sue, 60, of Wesley Chapel, passed away July 19, 2003 in Wesley Chapel. She was survived by two sons, Raymond Rouch and his wife, Christine of Wesley Chapel and Jack Spindler and his wife, Bonnie of Zephyrhills; two daughters, Connie Rouch of Brandon and Dana Reynolds of Seffner; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rick and his wife, Sheryl Presswood and Chuck Presswood, both of Elkhart, Indiana ; and three sisters, Barb Carr and Linda Presswood, both of Elkhart, Indiana and Dottie Faucet of Clearwater. Mrs. Wiseman was born February 15, 1943 in Elkhart, Indiana to Collen Richard and Madge (Donahoe) Presswood. She was a homemaker and a Protestant.

ARMITAGE, George E. 67, of New Port Richey, Fla., passed away on July 20, 2003. Born April 14, 1936 in Corry, Pa., he came to Florida in the early 1970's. He was the owner of Gulf Coast Precision, Inc. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Sandra Armitage of New Port Richey, Fla.; daughters, Denise Armitage, Luce Armitage, Lisa Armitage, Leslie Armitage, Lori Johnson, all of New Port Richey, and Dorrie Johnson of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; sons, Greg Armitage of New Port Richey, Fla. and Don Johnson, Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska; four sisters, Nancy Johnson of Corry, Pa., Janet McVicker of New Port Richey, Fla., Sandra Cobb of Ohio, and Linda Conn of Indiana ; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Joe, Josh, Tommy, Ashley, D.J., Misty, Anna Lisa, Giovanni, Leonardo and Anjolie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ethel, brother Donald of Grand, Rapids, Michigan, and daughter Loralei. A Memorial Service will be held at East Branch Cemetery in Corry, Pa. at a later date.

BAXTER, Frederick, `Freddie` 55 a native and life long resident of Plant City died on July 19, 2003 in Tampa. He was a Protestant and an Army Ranger with the 101st Airborne, a veteran of Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart among other decorations. He was employed with the Hillsborough County Property Appraisers office. He was Santa Claus for the Plant City Christmas Parade for ten years. He is survivedby his wife, Peggy; son, Frederick E. Baxter II; daughter, Cindy Wyatt and husband Timmy; also two grandchildren, Garrett and Trenton Wyatt, all of Plant City. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2003 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Haught Funeral Home Chapel with services on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the New Hope Worship Center, with Rev. BLACKMAR, Annie G., 77 of Tampa, Florida passed away on July 19, 2003. Mrs. Blackmar is preceded in death by her husband C.W. `Bill` Blackmar, Jr. and is survived by her sons: Robert (Belinda), Jack (Jane), Gary (Donna); grandchildren: David, Daniel, Matthew, Michael, Erika, Loree and Christee; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa. The interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUZBEE, Douglas Lamar, 40, formerly of Ruskin, passed away July 18, 2003 in Manatee Co. He is survived by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Lewers Funeral Home.

ENGLISH, Allene, 98, formerly of Tampa, passed away July 19, 2003 in Clewiston, Fla. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bloomingdale Cemetery.

ISOM, Ida Pearl Henderson, 95, lifetime resident of Plant City, Florida and wife of Edwin Isom passed away on July 18, 2003. Mrs. Isom is survived by her brother, Bob Henderson and his wife Billie. She had two brothers, Sox Henderson and Terry Henderson, and sisters, Leona Tennant and Catherine Cone, and many other loving family members and friends. Mrs. Isom was a lifelong devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Plant City. She was a graduate of Florida State College for Women and Florida Southern College. Mrs. Isom was a retired teacher from Hillsborough County School where she was a teacher for 37 years. She was a member and officer for many civic and community organizations, such as the East Hillsborough Historical Society, Volunteer for Meals on Wheels, South Florida Baptist Hospital Auxiliary, Founder of American Childhood Education, Sorority member of Alpha Delta Kappa, serving on the Board of Directors as Sergeant at Arms, Honorary Teachers Sorority, East Hillsborough Retired Educators, Elected `Woman of the Year` for Ladies Bible Class at the Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Woman's Club serving as Vice President, 2nd Vice President and Treasure r. She was Circle Member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she also held office as a Treasurer. She served on the Board of Directors for the Panos Community Center. She was a Charter Member of the Pilot Club, a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, The Plant City Garden Club, a charter member of the Exotic Garden Club, including membership with the Plant City Bridge Club. Vis itation is on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Plant City. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Plant City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, Tampa, or the First Presbyterian Church of Plant City.

KERSEY, Burnis, age 76, of Brandon passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at the VA Hospital of Tampa. Mr. Kersey was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kersey; two daughters, Bonnie Rose and her husband Michael, Kathleen Jarvis and her husband Gary; two granddaughters, Michelle and Angela Rose and two sisters, Mary Kelly and Joyce Foxworth-Baer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. and services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

LAMB, Bernald `Bud`, of Kennesaw, Ga., formerly of Oneonta, N.Y., died July 18, 2003. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Lamb. Surviving are his daughter, Carol Black of Kennesaw, Ga.; sons, David Lamb of Lawrenceville, Ga., Richard Lamb of Minnesota, Minn. and Buddy Lamb of Brandon, Fla.; mother, Rosmond Jenner of Oneonta, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.

LEWIS, William P., Jr., 72, of Tampa, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1953 and retired as a Major after serving 20 years. He began a second career in the Federal Civil Service at MacDill AFB in 1973 and retired again in 1992 after serving as Billeting Officer and Civilian Personnel Specialist. He was truly a person who enjoyed life to the fullest. His many activities included sports cars (he was the founder and first president of the Black Hills Sports Car Club), sailing (he managed a sailing business) and art (he was currently teaching Stained Glass classes at the Arts and Crafts Center at MacDill AFB). He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia; and four children and their spouses: daughter, Teresa and Edmund Stern, sons, William P. III and Lisa Lewis, Stephan and Joyce Lewis and Patrick and Sharon Lewis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Jessica, Bradley, William, Erica, Christopher, Glenna, Lee and Allen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa. Memorial services are planned for 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 27 at the family's home.

MARTIN, Helen Bell, 86, of Tampa, passed away July 18, 2003. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sondra Greene. Survivors include her sons: James and Steve Martin; daughters: Jeanie Jergenson, Marcia M. Marks; Mildred M. Huggins, and Michelle Berkgcamp; grandchildren: Leslie Ann Martin, Renee Huggins, Marley Adobe, Brett Armstrong, Brock Armstrong, Bobby Jergenson, Brandon Huggins, Marcus Goodman; and son-in-law, Steve Greene. Family and friends will gather Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum.

MASKELL, Lois, 51, of Tampa, died July 17, 2003. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Maskell. Born in Northville, Mich., she moved to Tampa from Kentucky.

MASON, Herbert P., Jr., 79, of Tampa, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Town & Country Hospital. Born in Melrose, Mass., Mr. Mason has lived in Tampa for 30 years. He was an Insurance Company executive before retirement and a World War II Army veteran. He was past president of C.P.C.U. of Tampa, a graduate of Yale University, class of 45 W and past president of its Yale Club of Tampa, and past president of Sons of the American Revolution, Tampa Chapter. Mr. Mason was also a life member and past commander of the American Legion Post #152 and life member of the VFW Post #10538, Tampa. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jeanne B. Mason, a son Scott D. (Tracy) Mason of San Antonio, TX., a brother, Bayley F. Mason, Cambridge, MA. and one grandson, Prest on Scott Mason. MASON, Robert L., 82, entered into rest at home on July 19, 2003. He was a Baptist, a Retired World War II USAF Veteran, and a loving husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; daughter, Connie Leis and husband Bud; brother, Isaac; brother-in-law, Billy Hathcock; and a large extended family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 1 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. MORRIS, Francis M., 76, passed away at his home in Valrico, Fla. on July 19, 2003 surrounded by his family, after a 10 year battle with cancer. Born in Jacksonville, Ill. He moved to Michigan where he married and raised his family before moving to Florida in 1973. He was an auto body mechanic, a member of the First United Methodist Church Of Brandon as well a member of the Brandon Masonic Lodge #114. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie; sons, Paul and wife Karen, Dale and wife Laura and a daughter, Linda; brother, Don and wife Martha and family; sister, Eileen and husband Ernie and family; as well as three granddaughters Christy, Cara and Nicki. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifePath Hospice of Hillsboro Co. Visitation will be July 22, 2003 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with services on July 23, 2003, at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.

PORTER, Evelyn Mae, age 82, of Tampa passed away at University Community Hospital at Fletcher, July 20, 2003. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Lawson Porter; father, George Otis Hunt; brother, Elmer Hunt and sister, Hazel Lipham. Ms. Porter is survived by three daughters, Pat Osborne and her husband Mac, Betty Largel and Lynette Hernandez and her husband Mike; brother, Marcus Hunt; nine grandchildren, Greg Osborne, Brett Osborne and wife Susan, Tray Osborne and wife Debbie, Mark Largel and wife Cindy, Alicia Largel, Denise Largel-Miller and husband Jim, Jeff Hernandez, Cindy Hernandez, Tina Marler and husband Noel; nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Aja and Benjamin Osborne, Steven Largel, Jesse and Nick Diagnault, Anastasia and Joshua Miller and Jared Marler. A visitation will held Thursday morning at the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon with Funeral Services to follow at 12 Noon. She will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Park. She will be sadly missed, but her family rejoices that she is free at last and in a new body and in a new home. Family and friends are invited to join the family after the services at the home of her daughter, Pat Osborne.

ROMAN, Retired Lt. Colonel George G., `G. G.`, 80, of Tampa, passed away peacefully at his home, July 19, 2003. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio but made Tampa his home after serving 23 years in the Air Force. Here he received his Accounting degree from the University of South Florida. In addition to being a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, George also retired from the State of Florida Auditor Generals Office and later from his own accounting and tax practice. He was a member of the Gyro International Club, Knights of Columbus, and the National Association of Tax Professionals and Enrolled Agents. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary E. Roman `Dopey`; along with his sons, Richard and wife, Joan, David and wife, Hope and Don and wife, Pam; daughters, Patty and husband, Terry and Mary Ann and husband, Ray. His is survived also by grandchildren, Terry Schneider, Bobby, Atha, Rayanne Crawford, Jennifer Roman, Stacey Walker, Alicia Roman, Tricia Klaus, Jason Walker and Eric Klaus. In addition, George has three great-grandchildren; two nephews; a niece; and seven great-niece s and great-nephews. George always put his family and friends first and touched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed but always remembered by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Cohen and all his staff for the years of care and concern for George, LifePath Hospice for their kind and caring support, and the many concerned friends and neighbors. Pallbearers are Eric Klau s, Ray Klaus, Don Roman, Bob Schneider, Jason Walker and Terry Yeager. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, entombment will immediately follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with full military honors. SCANLON, Everett `Ed`, 76, of Brandon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2003. Ed was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He moved to the Brandon area in 1961. He owned and operated the first bowling alley known as the Orange Bowl` Later in life, he was the owner of Ted's Septic Tank. Ed is survived by his wife, bride and partner of 55 years, Eleanor; one son, Scoop and wife Kathi; two daughters, Linda Heath and Nancy Wingo; six grandchildren, Tim and wife Julie, Kris, Josh, Jake, Lacey and Kendall; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jenna and twins, Jaxson and Brock. His family and friends will remember him for his unconditional love, kindness, and compassion for others. Each day, we all saw the `fruits of the spirit` in him. A Celebration of Life will be held 7 p.m. (today) Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at the Stowers Brandon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

STORMS, Dorothy M., 86, of Tampa, passed away July 19, 2003. She is survived by her nephew, Nathaniel L. Storms and his wife Alice of Valrico; niece, Ann Beckner of Texas ; and brother-in-law, Walter Macildonny of Virginia. Dorothy was born in Zephyrhills, Fla. and was a member of the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church. She retired as a Switchboard Operator for the YMCA in Washington D.C. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Valerie Storms, Chaplain, Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Fla., officiating.

THOMPSON, W. Gerald, 72, of Plant City died July 21, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine; sons, Danny of Lakeland, Jim of Plant City; daughters, Yvette Thompson of Gainesville, Teenge Hinson of Plant City, Nannette Dell of Gainesville; niece, Tamara Allen, and nephew Frank Burney, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gerald was retired law enforcement. He worked for the Plant City Police Dept., was Chief of Dade City Police Dept., and an investigator for the State Attorney. He was a member of the Florida Peace Officer's Assoc., and a member of First Baptist Church of Plant City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, in Cornerstone Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in E. Oaklawn Cemetery.

WIEN, Beatrice B., age 99, of Weinberg Village in Tampa died Sunday, July 20, 2003. Mrs. Wien was born in Poland and was a Holocaust survivor. she was a member of Congregation Kol Ami and Hadassah. Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Richman, grandchildren, Elise Richman-Ezekiel and Jeffrey W. Richman and great grandchildren, Hilana Ezekiel, Micah Ezekiel, Nili Ezekiel and Morgan Richman. Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday), 1 p.m. at Beth David Funeral Chapel, 3909 Henderson Boulevard, Tampa. Rabbi Mordechai Levy will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Largo. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Weinberg Village, the Florida Holocaust Museum or LifePath Hospice.

BACH, Ernest J. `Ernie`, 88, of Port Richey, died Monday, July 21, 2003 at Orchard Ridge Nursing Home in New Port Richey. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he came here 24 years ago from Uniondale, Long Island, N.Y. Ernie was a retired manager with Red Ball Van Lines in New York City and attended King of Kings Lutheran Church in New Port Richey. He was a member of Pearl of The West Masonic Lodge #146 F. & A.M., Past Royal Patron of Amaranth #25, Past Watchman of Shepards White Shrine of Jerusalem, Past Patron of Order of the Eastern Star #117 and Past President of West Pasco Shrine Club, all in New Port Richey. He was Past High Priest York Rite in Clearwater and Past President of Gulf High Twelve Club and director of Gulf Highlands Civic Association, both in Port Richey. Ernie was also a member of the Egypt Shrine Temple in Tampa, a 17 year volunteer with Shriners Children's Hospital in Tampa and winner of the Sertoma Service To Mankind Award in Tampa. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude `Trudy`; son, Ernest W. Bach of Largo; daughter, Carol Ann Kelly of Hamilton, N.Y.; sister, Clare Chavez of Germanton, N.C.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
